Food was awesome. Traditional corned beef hash. Pancakes on the side? Yes please! Will definitely be back.
The service was great. Very friendly and good delivered quickly.
Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. Convenient location and a very reasonable price for what you get.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 19, 2024
Alright, I've been to yolk in the past but my most recent visit was just ok. We came early on Sunday (like around 9AM) and were seated promptly. I got the turkey burger, which tasted pretty good but not great. My friend had gotten some potatoes with her eggs benedict, but they were undercooked. The star of the show was the banana nut french toast.

A cute place! The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere and was clean. The food portions were huge. Price was reasonable! I had their West Coast Crepes with cheesy grits. I LOVED THEIR CHEESY GRITS. I would definitely get it again. Their West Coast crepes were delectable. It tasted yummy with their Yolk habanero hot sauce! I found their signature hot sauce to be more vinegary. I liked their habanero hot sauce more. My waitress was so sweet and attentive. She kept an eye on my coffee and made sure it was filled. I will definitely be back to try other foods!

Food was great. Got the south border Benedict which came with potatoes and had to bring it home. I enjoyed their chili a whole lot. Customer service was awesome with always checking in and being attentive. They were so sweet in celebrating my gf's bday with a French crepe! Would love to come here again!

First breakfast/brunch spot during my 4 day trip to Chicago! I wish Yelp allowed .5 stars cause this place would be a 3.5 for me. Maybe even a 3.75 cause it's better than 3.5 but not quite a 4 for me food-wise. But still a solid spot to start your day.
Food: Now I will begin by saying that the food is not bad at all; it just wasn't spectacular or blew me away in any way. My gf and I shared the corned beef & hash, the chicken or the egg sandwich, and the lemon blueberry pancakes and everything was totally fine. You will definitely get full but just had way better versions at other places.
Service: Now the waitress and staff we talked to were great! Got seated right away on a busy Friday morning and our waitress was kind and attentive despite it being pretty busy.
Ambiance: Very bright interior with a ton of space/seating. Deceptively long place cause it doesn't look like it'd be so big from the outside. Saw many large groups but you will be very close to other tables no matter what so keep that in mind if that bothers you.
Water: Always appreciate a customized bottle of water for the table that shows the restaurant's logo. Water was good and they gave a new bottle well before we were completely out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 24, 2023Updated review
Strawberry cheesecake pancakes - 3.5/5. A nice white icing with heaping graham cracker but not quite elevated enough.
Nutella crepe - 2/5. Didn't like it a few years ago and thought to try again. Sadly, no improvement. Great breakfast spot but don't get crepes here.
Breakfast bagel sandwich - 3.5. Solid and effective. Nothing special, but a good option for savory.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 6, 2023Previous reviewLemon Blueberry Cakes - 5/5. Phenomenal. Don't get the lemon flavor and don't care. Nice texture and sweetness level. Topped with lots of blueberries
Red Velvet French Toast - 4.5/5. Sweet and comforting. Rich. Doesn't need maple syrup. Not as magical as I remembered but good.
California Omelet - 3.5/5. Decent savory with lots of avocado. Seasoned potatoes are a highlight.
Banana Blue Crunch Cakes - 3.5/5. Very textured but a tad boring.
Fresh Squeezed OJ - 3/5. Forgettable.Jun 25, 2022Previous reviewLove the Yelp waitlist option to minimize time waiting at the restaurant. While they can do a mean French toast and solid pancake, the crapes are weak. A great tasting option is getting a variety of single options from the Sweet Tooth menu for $5.50 each.
Red Velvet French Toast - 5/5. Continues to be a worthy indulgence. Icing inside is the star loaded with sweet flavor. Doesn't need maple syrup.
Nutty Monkey Pancake - 3.5/5. Solid basic combination of peanut butter and chocolate with.
Monthly Pancake, Peanut Butter Pretzel - 3.5/5. Nice novelty and crunch from the pretzel but doesn't really come together.
Nutella Crepe - 2/5. I ended up scraping off the Nutella and abandoning the cape to eat with the fresh banana and strawberries.Jul 6, 2019Previous reviewBusy for a reason. Sweet is spectacular.
Banana Nut Bread French Toast - 5/5. Moist texture, strong banana feel, little crunch from the nut. Very rich with the fresh banana and maple syrup and the peanut butter oddly works for breaking it up.
Red Velvet French Toast - 5/5. Cut through the middle first to make sure you get the cream cheese filling. Sweet and creamy. - Devante B.Chicago, IL299165Apr 22, 2024
Great breakfast! Lots of space inside, lights, the grill in your view so you can see the food being made, friendly service! I had some really good food!

Visited for breakfast on a weekday and found the food to be disappointing. We ordered a 5-egg omelette to share between two adults, along with coffee. Unfortunately, the omelette was basic, the toast was poor quality, and the house potatoes were unsatisfactory. Even the coffee left much to be desired. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the portions were generous.
