Wayback Burgers

Places air-conditioning went out and it was really hot. So we got takeout by the time I brought the burger home it was a little soggy, but it was pretty tasty. Fries were not great and I can't even imagine eating in the restaurant even with air-conditioning had a pretty, heavy kitchen odor. People are really friendly. Convenient location.

The burgers are delicious, cheesy enough, grilled to perfection, I took one star away, because on the two occasions, they took over an hour for a pickup they had so much confusion and didn't have things under control, I believe they were so understaffed and the guy doing the burgers was also doing cashier work, packing everything up and taking phone calls. There was another girl there but I'm not sure if she was training. Everything tasted great, it was just such a long wait and it was twice the same issue.
I hope they resolved this since.
There is parking, you have available sitting inside, they have a good spacious place.
Cleanliness; they can work on it a bit.
And hire more staff.
This is my opinion and based off two experiences. Haven't been back since.

Just in there. Picked up an order. What a MISERABLE guy, kid, at the front counter. If you're angry at life; I suggest you do something about it. This is not for you. Plain rude POS.

Tasty burgers, including the impossible burger. There is definitely room for improvement of their haphazard service, however.

Really wanted to like this place. Onion rings were ok hence 2 stars. Burger was filled with cartilage and fatty tissue chunks. Inedible. Maybe chicken better. Please go to burger city down the road.

I went in about a week ago to order food. However, I was met with poor service and hospitality. I drove 20+ minutes to sit down and eat in person here. Prior to ordering my food, I was told there was going to be a 30 minute wait which would mean the food would be ready at the time of them closing. I asked about. It being able to sit and eat and the guy (cook) said nope you won't be able to.

If you like terrible food service this is the place to eat. If not, stay far away from them and visit another wayback burgers.

Food is ok, place could use better lighting. Customer service is HORRIBLE. This is the second time I picked up an order via Grubhub. The first time, there was only one guy there who came out of the kitchen, saw me standing in the pick up area, but looked right past me and proceeded to start cooking. When I told him I was there for a pick up, he rudely said he'll be right with me. When he finally got to me and I told him I was picking up my order, he said, "oh it's for you? I thought you were the driver". What difference does it make whether I was picking up someone's order, or I was the customer? They got paid either way, didn't they? And why would you treat someone differently because of that?

Tonight was even worse. I went right up to the pick up area. There were 3 guys behind the line - the same one who thought I was the GH driver from last time, a short man who had his back turned away from the dining area and facing the wall cooking something, and a man who was right in front of the pick up counter facing me. I didn't expect the other 2 to see me, but the third one, the one I stood in front of and was facing me, looked right past me and didn't even acknowledge me or tell the others I was there. So, I went up to the order counter. When I informed the guy from last time I was there for a pick up, he said to go to the pick up counter. I know it was less than 10 steps away, but it was a semi-open area and he could have just as easily grabbed my order and handed it to me. So I pushed back and said I was just there and I was ignored. That's when the short guy facing the wall turned around and huffed that they couldn't see me with their backs turned. Yes, I know. But then I told him that the man facing me completely ignored me. That's when he took my bag of food and THREW IT on the counter. Then, like a brat, he turned away. While I was speaking. The guy from last time just automatically said,"have a nice day". Not a thank you, not a single apology from any of them. I understand having a bad day, but to take it out on customer who called you out for your own mistake is out of line. I'm surprised people still go here. The food was ok, and my orders were always right, but based on other reviews, their customer service is non-existent. People tend to forget that restaurants are a CUSTOMER SERVICE industry. I don't agree that the customer is always right, but at least treat them properly and admit when you're wrong. I miss the old Jake's Wayback.

Meh. Placed an order thru the app for the national cheeseburger day special. It was the classic burger I believe and I like that you can make a fair amount of customizations w/o any upcharges. The burger which was decently sized lacked flavor to me even with all the toppings. The fries were ok again not great and the onion rings were pretty good. Nothing particularly special that would make me come back.

I got the Impossible melt burger. it was delicous. the aoili sauce (however you spell it) was a perfect mix. the ambience was good with a tv right above us and some good sounding music. The food was brought straight to us and the service was amazing. everybody was friendly and it was very nice. The only reason im rating it a 4 is because the fries were a tiny bit dry. everything else was amazing. would come here again

terrible service not worth the wait
30 mins for a flat bland burger that barely makes the cut! the service was poor and supposedly they were backed up with orders but it was so much space on the grill just nasty place with nasty people!
