Not shocked to see the bad reviews from years back. The customer service was horrible. The food isn't even good enough for the attitude. The Little boy with the thinning "Chester" mustache had the worst attitude. He was at the cash register, I walked up to the window and he literally looked me in the face and walked away. He was NOT alone, there were 2 other people there working. I knocked on the window to get someone's attention and "Chester-stache" literally said "she can wait, she ain't gotta do all that". Sir, who raised you?

Solid three from me. Was okay. Fourteen bucks is too much for this smallish large Philly. I'm used to getting stuffed for that kind of money. Not even a combo - that's just the sandwich!

You've got to double up on the meats to get that sandwich here. Everything else was skimpy too.
What peppers or onions or cheese? Not even sure I had any cheese.

...but the bread was exceptional. No lies there. Fresh bread's always good.

Very nasty and rude service very disrespectful to customers!!!! Went to pick up order that was never picked up to be delivered by door dash and you g girl wanted to argue the whole time! Like it's my food who the hell has to still food from a door dasher order! Grow the fuck up! Be more respectful of customers it is because of us that you have a job!

This place has the worst customer service ever!!! I have never been treated so rudely!! I was really craving Tubby's so I came here two days in a row and both days I left without a sandwich and pissed off from there rude cashier! The first day we went in (my brother and me) around 8:45pm and the hours listed says it close at 10:00pm. I walk up to the counter and the first thing the cashier says in a rude tone I'm sorry but we are closed for the night. So I said oh okay I thought y'all closed at 10:00pm. She says we do. So I say then why can't you just make us a sub she says because we already closed the grill down!! I'm like that's crazy y'all still have an hour and 15 minutes til close why y'all close the grill already?? She looks at me and says We Closed! So we just left! Pissed cuz I wanted my steak and cheese sub! Next day we come back (again my brother and me) we walk in a little earlier today cuz we really wanted steak and cheese subs. So we get there around 7:50pm. And again the same rude cashier before she even greet us the first thing out her mouth was we are only making cold cut subs! I asked why? She says because we are backed up with DoorDash! So I say what does that have to do with anything??! Just because you already have a few orders doesn't mean you can still take other orders for hot food. So she looks at me and says do you want a cold cut or not??!! Rudely and before I seen myself smack the taste out this girl mouth we just walk out!! It was like 3 other people in there and they all walked out to! I just know Tubby's been losing money and customers because of how they are running the place there at night!! That was my last time going to that Tubby's!! N I will never go back there again!! So save your self some time and frustration and just go to the one on 8mile and Evergreen!

I had a great sub from here. This was the first place I have found in Detroit that has good subs. They have fried onion chips which are good as well. The lady behind the counter was friendly and acted like she wanted to execute good customer service. So if you are in the mood for a tasty sub, with Tubby's famous sauce on it...take a chance...you might like it!
