Tim's Hawaiian offers a $10 special on Monday (fish and chips), Tuesday (BBQ chicken), and Wednesday (chicken katsu) every week. The portions are large enough to split between 2 people and come with a fountain drink.
The food tastes great and you can't beat the price! I like the Mac salad so much that sometimes I order an extra scoop for later :) It's a big space with plenty of seating and a few tables outside.
Order at the counter if you can because the kiosks add a service fee.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melanie M.San Francisco, CA05Oct 29, 2023
My grilled salmon plate was pretty decent. But I got the fried fish island and the fish was really thin and dry. I forgot for a moment that I ordered this with fish and so when I got back home to taste it it tasted like chicken. My friend even told me it didn't taste like fish but that it tasted like chicken. Personally I don't think this fried fish island was worth my money. I am struggling to finish it.
Also those machines were too difficult to use and I wish I was helped by a representative to help me use the machine to order my food.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 894354Mar 12, 2024
I highly recommend Tim's. I've actually been eating here for a while but the food is so good I always forget to get a picture. My fiancé and I ordered take out. I always get the bbq mix plate and it never disappoints. My fiancé got 1/2 bbq chicken 1/2 bbq beef. Both plates came with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of Mac salad. (But you do have the option to do 2 Mac 1 rice or any other combination) We split an order of the 3 mususbi; 1 spam, 1 chicken katsu, 1 bbq chicken. The staff is always super friendly any time we go.

This place was such an amazing surprise. The food was fresh and well made. Great flavors and the portions were insanely big (each plate feeds 2). It's Hawaiian done right. Also the ramen was surprisingly tasty with good chewy noodles and a real kick. Great to stop on the way to Tahoe.

I stopped in during a very long day of driving. I was hungry and this area in Davis has multiple good eats. I was craving HawaiianBBq chicken, and Yelp showed Tim's near where I parked. It was late, just after 9pm, and the place was packed.
The line to order moved extremely fast. The crew was working hard, cooking and filling orders quickly. I was overwhelmed and confused after my long day. When I got to the counter, I told the young man I just wanted Hawaiian Chicken but was tired and confused. His name was Felix. He immediately slowed down and helped me through my order! Then told me to be seated and he would serve me. Unusual, as they generally call out numbers as orders are up. He was super kind and helpful. I almost left, because of my brain issues. But with Felix help, I got to order what I wanted, was able to sit down, and was taken care of the way I needed right then. Now I am almost ready to leave, and I am more than satisfied. The food was GREAT. And, as you can see in my picture, only 20 minutes after I arrived- the counter has no line. Everyone was served in a timely manner. This place ROCKS!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2583256Aug 31, 2023
Everything about this establishment was great! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for authentic Hawaiian food, that's decently priced, and also really great service that was so communicative and helpful. The restaurant itself is small with not too much seating but there are also picnic tables outside and lots of street parking in the area and a parking lot right next door. The overall ambiance was calm, which I am sure is to change when Davis students are back in session and flocking here for food!
The food itself was amazing. Everything was fresh, and you can tell they were made with great products and was overall well made. Definitely satisfied our Hawaiian food craving and we will be returning.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Keith H.Soldotna, AK03Apr 26, 2024
Not a clean restaurant. They don't answer their phone. Front counter person does not greet nor explain everything you do there is self-service. I sat waiting for her to come and she never did. when she called or orders, she was 3 feet away and did not bring them to the table. We were a group of five and might as well been invisible. To top it off, they autocharge 15% tip onto your bill unless you catch it and change it. They do zero customer service and a tip is not deserving but I added a few dollars anyhow. Food tasty and plentiful. Customer service is very poor and impersonal.

I love the food here but the drinks aren't cold and for the second time I got my hands sticky because some other drink has spilled on everything inside the the cooler. The kid at the counter seemed to not care.

I was excited about this place trying something ney BUT!! As soon as I walkin the lady at the front or desk or whatever it's called told me the wait is about 25-35 minutes. She did not take my order instead sg forested me to a bank of kiosks to order my food. I asked her about parking and she was clueless. She had no idea ifthr parking on the other side of the wall of the building was for the restaurant or not. After trying to figure out the kidok ordering process on the greasy screen , i finally got a reciept that said my food would be ready in 10 minutes.
I oder the combo with short ribs , bbq chicken and chick cutlet or something. I put in sub short rib which everywhere else in the wotld you would think that mean substitute in the short rib but at Tims Hawaii in Davis CA, it means take out thre short rib and the chef puts in whatever they FEEL like. And I wanted it spicy So ended up with 2 types of chicken and 1 beef. Way too much food that was salty and over cooked. The fried chicken cutlet was just ok but not rememberable. And their were out of volcano sauce which I suppose is why no flavor or spiice. Not worth it to my just to be told what their capabilities are snd aren't and a miatched order. And BTW I did ask about tr shirt ribs and was told I substituted them out. I will not be visiting again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
