There's a reason why this was voted Long Islands best Italian restaurant. My first time here. A little pricy but there's an amazing deal for prix fix lunch.
Interesting variety of choices for appetizer, entree, desert and coffee.
I noticed that the prix fix menu said as of March 2023. I'm wondering if it's changed up once a year at least!!
My cold antipasto for appetizer was a wonderful array of meats, cheese and eggplant.
Main was salmon which I usually don't order but it seriously was the best salmon I've ever tasted !!! It melted in my mouth. I was offered some sauce on the side which brought the taste up perfectly.
Desert was a pear tart with whipped cream and decaf cappuccino for me. Everything from start to end was perfect. Service, rest rooms , parking in back. I can't wait to come back.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra K.Great Neck, NY072Mar 6, 2024
We have had several wonderful meals at Stressa restaurant in Manhasset. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared. The owner is accommodating, even creating a salad for me which was not on the menu. The service is attentive and friendly. We plan to return soon and look forward to our next meal. A great local gem!

Celebrated my grandmas birthday here. The service was nice and so was the ambiance.
We started with a salad for the table which was ok( I'm not the biggest fan of endive).
I ordered the red snapper special and felt it was over salted and just ok. For $40 I was expecting much more.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aug 4, 2021Updated review
The food is great here. We've been coming here for many years, since Giorgio and Pasquale owned Stresa.
The new owners are wonderful. The food is delicious.
They've had Indoor seating since before the summer.
The outdoor tent has been removed. Tables inside are no longer spaced apart like before.
We've ordered many different items from the menu as well as their specials. Freshest ingredients are used.
The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mushroom ravioli was delicious. The special beet salad was wonderful. The Charlotte salad was a perfect start.
The dessert plate and biscotti ended a perfect meal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 22, 2020Previous reviewGreat spot since pandemic. Tables outside under a tent spaced really well.
Staff wearing masks.
Food is delicious here. Will put this in our weekly rotation.
Great to feel safe during these trying times when you want to feel like everything is normal even though you know it's not.
Highly recommend. - 535598200Nov 17, 2022
Delicious traditional Italian restaurant with a family feel. It's quaint and seems to be filled with repeat patrons. The staff is extremely warm and hospitable - catering to any request or order you have. The food is delicious. Burrata appetizers with prosciutto, unique soups, etc. I had a fish recently and it was nicely cooked and flavorful.

I have been coming to this place for many years. Have spent thousands of $$.
Always liked their food & ambiance.
Last visit two weeks ago was horrible & decided never to return.
I think they have become cocky & full of themselves, forgot how to treat a guest, be assured if you want service, this is not the place.
I ordered a chicken main course, took only one bite and stopped.
It was rubbery & smelled funny & stale.
Asked the manager to pack for home. Manager did not even ask why it wasn't touched more than a bite.
Not asking refund or even complaining I said to the manger how I felt about the dish & I politely asked him to have it tasted in the kitchen by the chef.
Arrogant manager said "If you do not like it, why you are taking it home".
I elected not to dignify his sarcasm with any answer.
Paid the full bill and upon departure saw the manger eating at the bar.
Stoped to ask if he tasted the chicken - answer "Yes it was not good".
Had no courtesy to return to our table and even acknowledge the complaint, let alone giving refund for the dish.
I guess they do not need me & I am not going again.

Amazing restaurant. My family and I have been coming here since Giorgio started it in the 80's. Always terrific. The food is excellent, the ambiance is great and the service is excellent. We are vegetarians and they will accommodate us to transform almost any dish. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The epitome of what it means to have a genuine Dining Experience. So much more than just a meal. Here you will feel that everything truly revolves around you and everyone from the owner to the busboy who scrapes the crumbs is thinking only of how to make you happy.
Stresa is owned and operated by the longtime owner of Arturo's on Jericho Tpke in Bellerose-Antonio D'Anna and his three sons. We were fans of Arturo's for many years and sad to see it close, so finding Stresa was a special delight. They have brought the charm, class and family warmth of the prior restaurant and kicked it way up at this elegant establishment. Roberto and his team served us impeccably, while his brother was turning out masterpiece dishes in the kitchen and Tony was greeting, circulating and keeping a constant eye out to make sure his many guests were satisfied. Every aspect of service was top notch to the smallest detail.
And the food...oh, the food. You get started with some complimentary crudités, assorted breads and imported breadsticks, fresh cheese, then they throw you a little sample of something special from the kitchen to get the tastebuds excited. We shared a veal tonnare app special which was a beautiful presentation and a fine blending of flavors, light and tasty. I wanted some pasta light on the meat, and the fresh made fettuccine with a veal & chicken bolognese was perfect in taste, texture and portion size. My husband had osso Bucco which was soft as butter and covered in a glorious sauce. Dessert was magnifico and the ricotta cake was pure bliss.
There's a big free parking lot in the rear, from which you enter up a flight of steps to find yourself in the small, classy bar. The decor throughout is top flight in every respect.
It's fine dining at its finest and we will definitely return.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mike D.Syosset, NY08Oct 15, 2023
