First time visitors.
As we often drive through rt31, we happened to spot this very small, tucked in the middle of a nearly empty plaza, pizza joint.
Mostly take out.
Not sure about delivery services.
Couple days later we placed a pickup order for a large Neapolitan, with mushrooms and pepperoni and a large garden salad, with their own homemade Italian dressing.
As we are always searching for great pizza since we moved back to New York, I can honestly say we are thrilled we found this place.
The young lady who took my order over the phone was pleasant and very accommodating, and didn't rush me off the phone.
Their menu far exceeds being just a pizza joint, but for now we just tried the pie and the salad.
In short, the pizza was outstanding as was the large garden salad.
Let's talk about that salad.
For $7.50, we got a very large "garden" salad that was far from the norm.
This thing was packed with fresh greens, assorted veggies, cauliflower etc.
This was so close to being called a large chefs salad, just missing the protein.
First glance, this place was very clean and well organized.
But the star was the pie.
Absolutely spot on and we are in the process of trying them all.
From their on-line menu:
Neapolitan thin crust large 16"Pizza
$15.50
Garden Salad
Field greens, tomato, roast peppers, olives, onions, giardiniera.
$7.50
Both items were worth every penny.
Highly recommended and we will be back to start sampling the other items on their extensive menu.
Give this gem a try, you won't be disappointed.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jay B.Brewerton, NY25529Apr 26, 2023

Order garlic pizza with ricotta cheese - you won't be disappointed! The best pizza place in the area in my opinion. Also, I ordered an antipasto salad recently with summer time weight creeping up and oh my, I was not disappointed! Finally a salad I'm not sad to eat! So delish!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James F.NY, NY01Sep 15, 2023

The pizza here is so good! The crust is flavorful and crispy yet still chewy. The sauce is tangy and it always has the perfect amount of mozzarella. This pizza quickly became our favorite and we have yet to get a bad pie. The staff is super friendly when you pick up and also very easy on the eyes.

We had food catered to our business & it was fantastic ! Sooooo I had to go myself with my daughter for dinner...we had the chicken riggies & the shrimp bow ties(farfalle) and with the vodka sauce! Arrived hot (which is important to me)....very very tasty! Came with salad & garlic knots! Will definitely come back soon!!

Oh, what a wild four years it has been! If anything has remained constant in my life, it is that my experience on this day four years ago at Sapori's is still the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Since then, I've used my experience that night as a standard for how not to act towards others. Through the high and lows of life, I must remind myself that I haven't hit a low that parallels me with the level Sapori's treated us. I will rejoice when Sapori's is no more.

The silence speaks volumes for what this business stands for, and it only reinforces that, as a business - Sapori's simply does not care for its customers, unless of course such customers are unexploitable and can match the authority shown by the owners. If this restaurant is good at anything, it's ensuring that they have a long list of health inspection violations.
Sep 14, 2018Previous reviewThe manager of Sapori's verbally attacked my teammates and I, and I witnessed it. I'm not a crazy person that had a bad experience with this place before. My first time, along with my friends. An hour and 45 minutes. We went into this restaurant with a great attitude, specifically when there was 7 kids and we did not make a reservation. I was happy that they seated us considering that there was no reservation. However, do not let this distract you from the fact that it took 15 minutes for menus, and 20 minutes after we sat down we finally got our order in. T An hour and 45 minutes later, we decided to leave. Too late it was. They made guarantees to when the food was going to come out, multiple times. And yet they failed, multiple times. Only then did they plead for the team to sit back down again. We had enough at that point. They were then begging for us to sit down. We weren't going to wait any longer, we stated that and we were out the doors. Until everyone in the kitchen started to raise their voices. My teammates were calm knowing that it would look childish to get into an argument with these ignorant, absent minded individuals. One of the women in the kitchen screamed, which quieted the restaurant down, by saying that the team were "idiots," and that they "expected the food like it's McDonald's." It's a stereotype that they tried to pull off on the kids by saying that teenagers need everything at the snap of their fingers. They sat us down, and from that point forward it was their responsibility to get the food out in a timely matter. If they didn't think they could manage that, they could've denied us a seat and we would've been on our way. They got the last word in by "kicking us out." Half of us were already out the door so it's a little too late to kick us out. The adults were acting like children and my team acted like adults. We waved them a goodbye and that was the end of it. It was clearly evident that they tried to take advantage of us because we are young and they thought that they could use their age as a way to make us feel guilty.
It was a one and done. First time at Sapori's and definitely the last. Absolutely appalling behavior by people that called themselves restaurant managers, or even owners. I also challenge any person who witnessed this from Sapori's to refute anything I said, because everything I've said is true. If anyone from Sapori's wants to respond, go for it, and we'll all see if your the liars that we think you are. If you've read this far into this review and we're thinking about going here, I hope you've made up your mind. Make the right decision, and go elsewhere.
1 hour, and 45 minutes. That is all folks.
Never again, ever. - William F.East Syracuse, NY6181398Mar 15, 2021Updated review

One of the best hidden gems in Central New York. Some of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time I found at Sapori by Antonio. Probably some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with customer service wise always pleasant and Tonio doesn't let me tip when he brings my order out to the curb during the quarantine just genuinely a great guy that shows his love through his food. I highly recommend this place to everybody Central New York. Keep up the great work Antonio and family.
