Round the Clock Diner East

We took a drive to York, PA from Baltimore. We decided to stop
for lunch at the Round The Clock Diner because of its good ratings. Wow, we were so welcomed by the hostess and then by Liz, our server. Liz was upbeat, happy and friendly. The diner has an extensive menu and the prices are very reasonable. Liz gave us the time to look over the menu and offered great advice as to what to order. My husband decided on the Baked Meat Loaf, which had two very nice-size pieces of meat loaf for $12.99. He chose Cole slaw and a fresh garden salad as his sides. I could not resist the Pork Schnitzel that also had two generous size portions of schnitzel for $11.99. I had a baked potato and pickled beets for my sides. The portions were so large, we each decided to take one piece of my schnitzel and one piece of my husband's meat loaf home for lunch the next day. Liz continued to check on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything. We were very pleased with our choice of the Round The Clock Diner and look forward to coming back the next time we are in York. Thank you for a delicious meal and great service!

Frustrating I usually have a good experience however today my bill was just incorrect and after I paid the bill and they ran my credit card I noticed it was incorrect and I was charged the wrong price and I asked the girl to fix it and she was the assistant manager and said she could not fix it and It would have to wait till the manager can fix it tomorrow ...
what's the point of an assistant manager if she can't adjust an incorrect bill. Then, after I said, that sounded kind of crazy, strange ridiculous she said well I could take the cash out of the drawer and I said well, that would've been my suggestion to offer in the first place.- because I kept pursuing the mistake ...

I said I probably won't be back. She said have a nice day. I mean really can you believe this it was a simple request. I was friendly about it and nice at first but when she said she really couldn't do anything about it then I got agitated because that's what an assistant manager should be there for so she took the time to re-ring it back up to see what the price should've been and let me know what it should've been, but yet she wasn't willing to fix it! It was like I had to beg her to fix it ! By then I just said forget about it - I was so frustrated over what should have been a simple fix .

As far as food it's ok. My other half had the eggs Benedict and said it was good. My issue is this diner is NOT clean. Either the coating of the tables is old and makes it look dirty or just not cleaned. I did not realize when I first sat in the booth the there was food and crumbs all over the seat next to me until I looked down. Just gross. There are other fantastic diners in York, go to Hellamshire!!

Food wise the diner has a good variety and most of the waitresses are polite but this one lady Paula, who says is a manager, is the nastiest person I have ever encountered. She does not know how to treat customers!!

Always prompt an courteous service all around good food. Staff is welcoming and polite this is East York location!!

If you are looking for a fine dining experience without the price tag, look no further! Hot & delicious food, the coffee was fresh, hot and never an empty cup! The service was top notch...friendly & efficient staff, our food was on the table 5 minutes after ordering! Come see these fine folks...

We stopped here for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. The service was okay and a bit slow. The diner was empty but, we had to flag the server down because they were all standing around talking with each other. They gave us burnt toast without including butter or jam. The eggs we ordered was okay, on par for other diner foods.

I have been meeting friends here weekly for the past three months. We arrive around 8 o'clock and we like to stay and chat after eating. Apparently the servers get off no later than 9 o'clock. We continue to be there and no one will even refresh our coffee. I realize they go down to one person serving but the server walks right by you can't even acknowledge the fact that you may want to refill in your coffee? They have some really good servers here and this one has a real chip on her shoulder.

Food was just ok. Service was also not great but I was only halfway neglected so I guess that's ok too. I got the round the clock omelette and specifically asked for the onions and peppers well done but they didn't listen. Nothing was seasoned at all and some of the home fries were so hard it hurt my teeth and stabbed at my gums. Very odd experience and hard to rate. I would just go to Alice's in Lancaster but now that we're in York we were trying to find a new diner spot. We'll need to keep looking I think sadly.

My mother ordered though grub hub for around the clock east York the food was the wrong order and everything was soggy so she called around the clock waited for 20 minutes to speak with a manager she think her name was amber manager was very rude and said what do you want me to do about it and tried to blame grub hub my mother a said did they come in and make the order and mark the boxes wrong . The manager said whatever and hung up on my mother all she wanted was them to make it right or refund she told manager before she hung up on her earlier in conversation amber told her that wasn't happening so my mother called grub hub they apologized and refunded her money we appreciated that but think around the clock should have taken care of it , thank you grub hub for being an out standing outfit
