Romano's Macaroni Grill

We had an excellent meal. The wait staff was very nice, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant.
Our drinks were served promptly as was a delicious loaf of rosemary bread.
We ordered a Caesar salad to split, a sausage pizza, lasagna Bolognese, and Pomodoro tortellacci. One of the best traditional Italian meals I've ever eaten. The sauces were delicious, and the pasta was fresh. The pizza crust was excellent, too.
We will for sure return soon!

Food used to be really delicious and good quality and quantity but it is now very high prices mediocre food that doesn't fill you up. Bread isn't nearly as soft and flavorful as it once was. It was hard and tasteless.
Diane was our server and she was great. That's is why this gets two rather than one star. Ugh
My bleu and Bibb salad was not very tasty and it wasn't that fresh. The spaghetti portion was like a kids size and also quite tasteless.
Restaurant looks rather tired inside.

What an attitude; the menu looked interesting. We tried to call for a reservation and no answer, no online reservation either.

We showed up and hostess was not impressed. She was not impressive, either. "Do you have a reservation?" No, we tried but no one answered. Too bad.

It goin' be 45 mins.

Tables empty. No line. No help. We decided to go to Waikoloa Cinema where service and food is always great. Bye bye Macaroni grill!

Worst meal I've had anywhere. Chicken piccata cold sauce out a jar taste , thick and tasteless

Friendly staff. Great food. Pasta, pizza, egg plant parm. Yum. Coloring while you waitclean beautiful atmosphere.

We wanted balsamic vinegar to add to the oil for dipping our bread. We were told they don't have vinegar... my friend commented at the one in CA has. He was told this is HI, not CA... rude. I have never heard of an Italian restaurant that didn't have vinegar.

Have been living here for 12 years on island and this restaurant is still a go to every month or so for dinner (we eat in the bar where service is more consistent). Food is actually pretty good with nice portions, reasonably priced and ambiance is ok.
Many people write this place off because it is a chain restaurant, but we enjoy it!

Saw the 2 1/2 star rating, they were not busy but had a great meal and great service. Waitstaff was outstanding.

We made reservations for 8 pm to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When we arrived the two boys at the front said it would be a 25 minute wait. We went back in 30 minutes later because no one came to us. Upon being seated, no one said this is the specials, these are the dishes we are famous for. Menu's were just given. The waitress messed up on our order a few times, and only tended to our drinks once. The inside is bright and wine bottles is used to part between the front section and dining area. These are the food we ordered.

Took my mom and daughter for lunch last weekend and I believe the manager on duty was also our server. They seemed to be a little tight on staff but he was very accommodating. My mom ordered the Lobster bisque and some extra bread. The bread took a little longer so he brought her fresh soup once it was done. He took good care of us. I hope the staffing will improve as we have been hearing we are still in weird economic times.
