Q:
What should I wear if I was going to a company diner here?
A:
It's a very old school family place with a small, usually crowded bar area. Definitely no need to dress up but for an office holiday party a jacket (no tie) would not be out of place! Hope this helps.
David G.Â1 year agoQ:
Do they fry their meatballs?
A:
Hi, Kyle - thanks for the question! Our scratch meatballs are not fried, they are baked fresh in-house.

Update for 2024!
Mostly empty this evening.
The waitress was super and pleasant.
The prices are much higher and the buy one take one home is still there and also priced higher.
The food tasted different to both of us. Not bad, different, though she didn't seem to like her lasagna nearly as much.
The chopped salads are still amazing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Mar 30, 2017Previous reviewUpdate!
New menu and it is full of great stuff. Still love the meatballs. The two for one is still the best deal in town. You can't even eat at McDonalds for the money.
The Long Island ice teas are awesome 99% of the time. The wait is much shorter these days which is nice. The competition is getting very fierce in KOP.
I still think it is the best of the chains.Nov 20, 2016Previous reviewIt's a chain but a great chain restaurant.
Maggiano's is a family-style Italian restaurant. The portions are huge the energy is high and the food is so good. One of the best parts about Maggiano's menu is that you can order an entrée for that evening and then take an entrée home for the next day and it's all for $15 or so.
Some of the waiters and waitresses have been there for a decade and I've never had a bad experience here. The wine list is fair the appetizers are awesome and the spaghetti meat ball is very Italian.
Again I'm not much of a chain restaurant person but if you're looking for a high-energy lots of food on your plate Italian restaurant that's very consistent this is it. Order a bottle of wine grab a dozen friends go have some fun.
I strongly recommend you grab reservations or your wait will be hours and hours long. They have valet parking in the valets are always attentive and polite. I recommend you use the valet parking; for a five dollar tip you don't have to worry about finding a spot in the parking lot and they keep an eye on your car. - Dec 15, 2023
This was my first time at this location and I would definitely come back. When I walked in, I didn't expect this place to be so huge, but it is! Every seat and table was filled, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Our waitress, Ana was very pleasant. She recommended a great wine to go with our pasta. Although she was busy, she still made sure to check in on us.
The only reason why I knocked off a star was because of the Fettuccini Alfredo. It tasted very bland and I didn't even want to take it home (that says a lot). Other than that, it was a very nice time!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2024Updated review6 check-ins
Always a good experience here. Tonight it was packed so we chose to sit at the bar--we still enjoyed our dinner and our server is awesome by taking care of everyone in the bar area. Maggiano's is just a solid place that you want to come back again and again.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jul 5, 2023Previous reviewLast night, we initially planned to eat at Cheesecake Factory, but they tried to seat us at three dirty tables .I lost my appetite and came to Maggiano's.
I would say Maggiano's is one of the few restaurants that never let me down. The food and service are always decent. Price is reasonable too. Last night we were sat at the back room, and there seemed to be some confusion about who would be our sever, but someone stepped in and served us after noticing us sit there.
I love Maggiano's "two can dine" option. I always pay an extra $5 to have chicken Marsala. Maggiano's chicken Marsala is very good, but I wish it's a tad less salty--it might just be my personal preference.Jan 21, 2023Previous reviewWe came here for late lunch on Chinese New Year's Even 2023. Everything is just perfect. I have absolutely no complaints, only good things to say about this place. The value of two-person combo is unbeatable against the backdrop of today's inflation (I did add $5 to have chicken Marsala).
Maggiano's chicken Marsala is one of the best I've had in recent years! The sauce is rich but not overpowering--leaving a pleasant aftertaste of Marsala wine.
The service is attentive like a high end restaurant without actually costing you an arm and a leg. The welcoming vibrant vibe of the restaurant makes it an ideal spot for any celebration, small or big.Dec 27, 2021Previous reviewCame back for lunch today. The experience is as pleasant as our first-time dinner experience. Their lunch combo is very affordable--even cheaper than Panera bread pick 2.
I had soup of the day and flat bread. They are delicious and you feel fulfilled afterwards. My husband had salad and meatball sandwich that comes with French fries. He enjoyed his meal very much as well.
I didn't realize the corner bakery is part of the establishment, which has its own lunch menu. I will definitely try that in the future.Sep 18, 2021Previous reviewOne of the biggest Italian restaurants I've ever been too. The grand entrance is majestic. It can host hundreds of people at one shot. The vibe is superb.
The staff are efficient and friendly. This is our first time and the server did a good job of introducing the dishes. We ended up with lasagna and chicken Marsala. Both came out great. It's definitely better than any other regular franchised Italian restaurant.
Since the portion is generous, we didn't order dessert afterwords. But I'm curious to try in the future when we move back to Philly. - Dec 8, 2023
This Maggiano is perfect for hosting a small corporate party. My company came here for Christmas luncheon. There were 50 of us. They arranged 5 round tables with a candle as centerpiece. They put a big Christmas wreath at the back wall. Each seat has a nicely folded napkin, a salad plate on top of a dinner plate. The waiter and waitresses were very respectful and responsive to each request and quickly brought out refills of every dish that was depleted.
Appetizer: Caesar salad: salad dressing was well mixed. Fried calamari: lightly breaded and the breading didn't fall apart. It was served with marinara. Nicely cooked.
Bruschetta: it's ok. I was hoping for more tomato.
Chicken parm was perfectly cooked, the chicken wasn't dry, topped with mozzarella.
Salmon was nicely seasoned with herb and basil. The first batch was slightly overcooked but the second one was perfect.
Dessert: apple crostata with ice cream. The apple filling wasn't overly sweet. It was a delightful ending for a big meal.
Downstairs you can have after party at the bar. Quite spacious for hanging out.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 1 - Feb 11, 2024
We have lived in the area and been going to this place for over 15 years now, one thing I can tell you is that the services is always top notch, the food is consistent and come out fast. We never really have any issues other than few mistakes that happen over the course of years we been there and that's ok. The Italy food here is amazing, the meal for two is a good deal to split for two or even 4 people. The place always looks clean and neat and ready for customers. I highly recommend this location, I haven't been to the one in Philly but I am assuming it will be the same quality

Every dish was delicious. Large portions and tastes just like southern Italy and not American Italian food.

I have never tried maggianos but I decided to make a reservation for KOP restaurant week. Our waitress was nice and the food was really good. For starters we ordered the mussels which were cooked in a mild spicy sauce. The mussels were fresh and the sauce added a great flavor to them. I enjoyed being offered the bread to dip into the sauce. The next round was the salad. The veggies were fresh and the croutons were not soggy. Also the dressing wasn't too overwhelming. For entrees I opted for the salmon which was soft and paired with spinach. For dessert I got the tiramisu and it was one of the best ones I've had. I really enjoyed my visit to maggianos. I can't wait to come back and try their normal menu !

In my few times here and all the different entrees I've had they've all been stellar! I've tried the salmon and shrimp entree, shrimp scampi, chicken francese, and they've all been enjoyable which led me to try something else this visit. The seared branzino Fresca with crab imperial. This place just hits everytime! The fish was cooked tender with a light sear topped with a layer of what felt like a flat mask of crab cake which both sat on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and lobster cream sauce. The bite was as delicate and flavorful as it sounds! Mozz and marinara is always a must here. The service was attentive and everybody enjoyed their meal. This place is great for families or a date night as well. Already looking forward to my next visit!
