Our lunch was desserts first kind of varied and the staff were supportive of our party of four as we stayed on through salads topped with crab cakes and omelets with tea and coffee aplenty ending with something for everyone gelatos.
Tables enough but barely so.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 92178873Feb 10, 2024
I'm between two and three stars. The service is nice, friendly and helpful people. It is the food for me. Even though they have a huge menu and affordable prices, I don't think the quality is where I'd like for it to be. I was excited about their gyros but was somewhat disappointed after tasting it.
I guess this place is alright if you're around and not looking for something especial.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 2460406May 20, 2023
Came in for a quick bite, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and coziness of this cafe.
I got the Torino Panini, and it had delicious, juicy chunks of chicken sandwiched between gooey cheese and pickled red peppers. A perfect sandwich! I was also surprised by the great wine deals inside. A lot of the other patrons were drinking and catching up inside.
A unique cafe with a selection of alcohol for purchase, alcohol to drink inside, a diner for food, homemade gelato, and snacks available!
Service was fast and efficient. I will continue to support businesses like this, thanks Lilit Cafe!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa N.Bethesda, MD017Apr 8, 2024
Very friendly restaurant with many gluten free options. We have been twice and really liked all the food that we ordered. The portions are very large. There is also an assortment of gluten free frozen foods that you can purchase. They also have Kinnikinnick mixes which are the best and hard to find elsewhere.

Pre-ordered two sets from their three course menu. There were many free street parking nearby. Arrived after half hours and our dinners were ready. They were great for two people! House Salad and Caesar Salad were in good quantities. Teriyaki Salmon was very juicy. Lemon Chicken was quite tender. Both Gulab Jamun and Flourless Chocolate Cake were delicious to finish the dinner.

Although the portion of the teriyaki salmon was smaller than expected, but it was tasty and juicy, and served with rice and broccoli. The lamb chops were very tender, and served with bean rice and grilled vegetables. After the entrees, there was a side variety of cupcakes to choose from. The coconut cupcake was very good. We also chose a cup of gelato, and two chocolate chip cookies!

We were staying at a nearby hotel and looked up gluten free restaurants in the area. We found this place and I'll have to say the service AND the food was 10 outta 10. They had tons of gluten free options and a few vegan options too. Food was very flavorful and accommodating to our preferences. We ordered a Margarita Pizza with extra basil GF, Baked Goat Cheese on Toast Grilled Vegetable, Balsamic Glaze GF, Brie Melt also GF anddddd 3 cupcakes all GF. We got the Peanut butter, coconut and carrot cake cupcakes. My fav was coconut! They're not too sweet and the frosting to cake ratio is perfect!
The service was also amazing, they checked on us multiple times and brought over everything that we needed, quickly.
They did have a lot of wine and champagne options, but we didn't indulge this time around. We were excited to find a place with amazing gluten free options and look forward to coming back!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 45926Aug 8, 2023
Great independent lunch spot, with everything from sandwiches and breakfast to ice cream and cupcakes! Plenty of seating inside and the service was pretty prompt. The sandwich portions are HUGE!

Looking for a gluten free restaurant that serves tasty food? Today, my younger granddaughter and I discovered Lilit Cafe. Located on Old Georgetown Road, in the heart of Bethesda, it is easy to find.
If anyone in your family has a gluten allergy or illness, you can count on one hand the restaurants that fill their menus with gluten free options. And, truthfully, many of those lack in taste or flavor.
Not Lilit Cafe, we throughly enjoyed our cheese pizza. The pizza is hot from the oven. It was topped with loads of ooey gooey cheese and a delicious red sauce. The crust was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. My granddaughter ate three large pieces.
I got the Greek salad topped with Italian meats. It was fresh, crisp, full of flavorful meats, tomatoes, Greek olives, lettuce, and peppers. The dressing was really tasty too. It was a large bowl, but I couldn't stop eating it.
Service was great. The people who worked there kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. In speaking to the owner, I was not surprised to hear that the inspiration for Lilit Cafe was a close family member who could not tolerate gluten.
I am so happy, that they decided to turn a hardship into a dream come true for people with gluten intolerance. Kudos to them! Insert applause!
They have a large wine and beer selection. All of the drinks are bottled, but they have a huge wall of assorted drinks to choose from.
We finished our lunch off with a cookies and cream cupcake. Lilit Cafe had 12 different flavors of Gluten Free cupcakes. That is unheard of!! We had a hard time picking out our favorite. It was really good!
We were disappointed in the condition of the bathroom. There is one bathroom for both men and women and it needed some attention.
There are tables to sit and enjoy your lunch or a thriving take out service. For us, this was a dream come true, we could go to a restaurant without the fear of getting ill and knowing we had a variety of choices to order and they all tasted great! We will definitely be back.Helpful 20Thanks 1Love this 17Oh no 1 - Jun 5, 2022
A quaint restaurant that had a diverse regular and gluten-free menu. They had an impressive gelato station at the entrance and various wine and beverage racks in the back.
We were able to nab street parking alongside the restaurant and were greeted warmly upon entering. We were given menus and told to place our order near at the back register when we were ready. Unfortunately they don't offer the three course meal special anymore but wines were provided at a reduced cost if purchased with an entree. We didn't have to pay when ordering but we needed to return to the register afterwards to complete the bill.

Besides wine, bottled drinks common in convenience stores were up for grabs.
*Meat Lasagna: included a side of Caesars salad. Huge slice of lasagna and could be easily shared between two people. Predominantly ground beef smothered in tomato sauce with bits of pasta sheets and cheese. Had good flavor but I wished the pasta wasn't as soggy so the lasagna could have had more structural integrity. Salad was average with thick dressing.
*Chicken Tikka Masala: included basmati rice and a side salad. Rice was fluffy and went well with the salty curry sauce. Had lots of tender chicken and the salad cut through with cream and spices. The salad would have benefited from the vegetables being cut a bit finer as the bell pepper and onion slices were on the thicker side.
Both dishes were incredibly large and affordable. I wouldn't say that either dish was extraordinary but the value was undeniable. Service was polite and efficient despite the strange ordering system. A family friendly establishment that served filling dishes that were a portion of the prices offered anywhere else.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - 160612412Dec 5, 2022
Wanted to love it...This place has an old school
charm about it, because it's a restaurant inside a mom n' pop corner store. I came here based on the stellar reviews. After dining here I have to be honest and say that I love my food flavorful and delicious, and that is exactly what I expected based on the reviews...
Service was fast, but my kebab, rice, and salad combo left a lot to be desired. The kebab was missing so much authentic flavor, and I was confused by the marinara the kebab were nestled in. The white rice also fell pretty flat. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the balsamic vinegar dressing.
The dairy and gluten-free cupcakes surprised us, because we honestly aren't used to having so ma y options. The peanut butter cupcake was solid, but the cookies and cream cupcake was missing so much flavor.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
