Great place to go early with toddler. Very accommodating and great food. The owner gave our 2 year old a meatball and she loved it (as did we). We split the Sicilian pasta (delicious, creamy and spicy) and the grandma pie with pepperoni (crunchy and flavorful). Red sauce is on point!

Unfortunately, bad pizza and even worse customer service. Offered 15% off when our pizza arrived and looked like it went through war. Do not recommend delivery.

Had a great meal here over the weekend! The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza was DELICIOUS! It was very crispy and crunchy and TASTY! It was cooked to perfection! I also enjoyed the Vodka Sauce Chicken Parmigana! Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

First time there last night. Great food and very nice atmosphere. If you sit inside, just beware the noise factor - it was a little hard to hear. I liked the clever neon sign. Wait staff was good, proactive on the water refills. As for appetizers, Arancini di riso (aka rice balls) was pretty mid but the burrata was very good. Chicken parm with vodka sauce over spaghetti was very good (slices of garlic was welcomed). Regarding the pizza... two pies (1) 14" plain was really good - nice crust and no flop. (2) 14" hot honey pepperoni was excellent. That pie alone is worth a visit.
Overall, highly recommend and would go back.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 2, 2022
I saw this place on Hoboken Girls page. Someone said they had the best penne vodka so I knew I had to try it.
I was in town for work, I ordered the penne vodka and wow it was amazing. So flavorful and had chunks of tomatoes in it. A huge portion too! I was able to take some for lunch the next day.
I also got a Caesar salad and the dressing was in the top 5 I've ever had. Really flavorful and garlicky but not over powering!
Service was great! Very friendly and helpfulHelpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michelle B.Union City, NJ11152Sep 5, 2023
I wanted to like it, i really did but as soon as I ordered the ricotta bruschetta my heart broke. It's almost disrespectful to have a slice of bread slathered in ricotta and a few diced tomatoes and call it bruschetta. For that, I couldve done it myself at home and called it a struggle snack. I already anticipated the rest of the experience to be subpar. The pasta entrees were salty so perhaps this is more of a pizza place than anything else?

The service, ambiance, and location were amazing, but the food was just okay. I was salivating looking at photos of the pizza on Yelp so maybe this pizza lovers expectations were too high, but it just missed the mark. We started with the Marinated Mushroom salad and complementary bread and butter - both were subpar. We ordered the square pie with mushrooms, olives and onions. IMO - the mushrooms were too raw for a pizza topping. Although the pie was twice baked, some bites still felt soggy on the bottom. Finally, we were between the tiramisu and cannoli for dinner. We opt for the tiramisu because it was homemade. I didn't take a photo because presentation wasn't great and unfortunately the dessert wasn't my favorite either.

Haven't been to Johnny Pep's in many years. Stopped in for dinner and I am so glad I did! The place is family friendly and warm and inviting. Sat down and we were immediately given delicious bread/butter and a bottle of water. Had the Arancini for appetizer and they were so good, cheesy and crispy on a bed of chunky marinara. Entrees were baked cavatappi with sausage and the Salmon w fresh spinach both were delicious and good sized. The service was friendly and prompt. Looking forward to returning to try more entrees and the pizza! It's BYO too!!

Unlimited bread... need I say more! Amazing spot have been living in Hoboken for years and finally made my way over. Shared the hot honey pepperoni pie special and it did not disappoint. At $27 it was a bit pricy was perfect for sharing with a friend though. It is also a great spot for BYO which is really nice and hard to find in the area. I would go back and would love to try more of their pies/pasta.

Finally able to try Johnny Pepperoni's. Friendly staff. Had a minor issue with seating in the beginning but the issue was quickly resolved. Nice selection of items on their menu but we opted to try the pizza. Ordered the 14 inch round pie and added pepperoni. It came out within a reasonable time and piping hot. Loved that it was thin crust. Thought it was good but a little salty with the pepperonis added and could use a more even distribution of the fresh mozzarella. Overall yes the pizza was good but it wasn't anything special to rave about. Loved the aesthetics/decor of the restaurant. Perfect for a summer date night or outdoor dining.
