We found our new close Sunday morning breakfast spot.
The service was great, easy to find, older but very clean.
Rhe food was delicious the coffee was really good and was always being refilled. Plenty of room to dine in comfortably.
The bacon was cooked crispy which is how I love it. Do not skip the homemade strawberry jelly it was amazingHelpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2023
This is a great truckstop restaurant. It is convenient off of I-71 just about 40ish miles east of Cincinnati. The place is quite neat and clean. Staff is friendly and you are attended to promptly. They serve solid American comfort food in a humble, but tasty way.
I got the double smothered chicken breast with broccoli and country baked apples. Deliciously prepared and simple, every bit a delight!! The baked apples are not overly sweet like some places. It tastes more of the cinnamon flavor than a whole bunch of added sugar. Their iced tea is very good as well. I tried some ham and bean soup, and it was spot on and flavorful. Everything was served piping hot and fresh. I have to hand it to this restaurant, they do a good job.
The big bear got beef tips over a bed of noodles. And he also got salad and their chili. He did not leave a drop behind for mice to eat let alone anyone else! Even got some of my leftovers as I could not finish my plate. Did I mention they have very generous portions? The prices are also very reasonable - $35 for the two of us before tip. Quite simply, if you're looking for a place that serves decent food at a decent price Country Kitchen is your spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karen L L.DuBois, PA02May 15, 2024

Down home style diner.
Friendly staff.
My friend ordered the special of the day, but as we were eating late, they'd sold out. But the good natured humorous banter with our server was so delightful.
Side note: my 5 star rating is for quality and atmosphere. Don't confuse them with Michelin stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 18, 2023
It doesn't look like much on the outside and is a truckers restaurant but it is clean and friendly on the inside with old time country music playing. Breakfast all day. The meal I got included biscuits and gravy, 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns. I also got a side of apples. All was good but be sure to try the homemade strawberry jelly.

While out on a family outing my brother asked if I preferred Waffle House or Country Kitchen. Being that I had been to Waffle House and wanting to post a new yelp review I choose the latter. Ronda was friendly patient and kept coffee filled and table clear. I ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a nice runny yoke. The biscuits and gravy was served separately. This worked out to my advantage because they had Jelly on the table which I used on one biscuit I reserved for desert. The gravy was much too thin for my personal preference. I did like the nice light brown color as opposed to how some places serve it more white. I think they called it sausage gravy because it was prepared with sausage greese. I like more sausage bits in my gravy. One of the servers that was busy serving other guests scurried past me several times. They other servers had name badges or thier nane embroidered on thier shirt Ronda did. I asked her about it. She flashed a big beautiful smile and said, " I don't want people to know my name" in a really friendly voice. It's unlikely I'll ever return as I'm seldom in the area. If I do I hope I remember not to order biscuits and gravy, but to be sure to order eggs over easy.

Part of an old chain that's fading away in America. Absolutely nothing fancy, but clean, friendly, priced right with all American down home cooking. Nothing to complain about, honestly. I wish there were more of these still around when I'm on the road to anywhere!
