Corner Bakery Cafe

I vaguely remembered Corner Bakery being an okayish place to go, the other times and locations I visited and lately, I've had a hankerin' to find a good bakery. So, during my wandering travels one day, I decided to pit stop here and hope for the best with the soda fountain, figuring I could go with a nice solid sandwich at least. When I got in, though, I found a couple things of more immediate interest, one of which was a Berry Salad. It looked good enough to eat, so I ordered that and then got a side of their Calabrian chile spread to go with it, as I didn't remember that from last time, either.

This visit was definitely a lot more impressive than the times before and I think one of the things the pandy kind of did was to reset stuff, in that I have no idea what to expect after basically a 3 year layoff. Fast food has gotten worse, but that has never been the positioning of this particular chain, this is definitely not a pop-and-go, and I found their quality to be very nicely quite a lot better than I remembered, though neither of the menu items I got existed on my last visit to one of these, which I don't now recall the date of.

Anyway, the salad, though a touch pricey, was excellent and happily larger than expected. I really enjoyed the chile spread and now need to go back and try that on a sandwich. as I anticipate it being warmed up will add quite a tasty new dimension and dynamic to it. Overall, though, very good visit and staff were fantastic throughout.

First time ever eating at Corner Bakery. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Clean and not crowed so we were able to order almost immediately. Food was brought to the table with little wait time. Had the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combination and since it was a colder day, tried their tomato Italian soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Tomato soup is broth based; ok but not really to my liking. Flavor on the mild to bland side. But the grilled cheese with tomato was fabulous! Perfectly toasted grain bread with melted cheesy goodness - delicious. With tip, meal cost was just over $16 which seemed a bit steep but in keeping with most places currently.

I had a great lunch visit here the other day. It was my first time being back since it's under new management. Great service and the food was so tasty!

My favorite thing about our whole experience is the young man who took our order and brought our food. He had great manners, was friendly, and got our order right.

Hubby had the Prime Rib Provolone sandwich. He enjoyed it very much. I had the Harvest Salad, which was very good, except for a clump of lettuce in the bottom of the bowl that was funky looking; it actually looked like it had been frozen or something. I stopped eating when I hit that. It could just be old lettuce.

Anyway, everything else was good.

This place has some very good management, the service was great and the food was even tastier. Worth a try!

Why the heck would anyone go to Zupas when Corner Bakery is across the street!? So fresh and delicious, and it never makes me ill.

Fantastic food and service. Been many times within the last couple years and never had a negative experience. Also has pretty good gluten free options!

Great service and the tuna melt was really good but the potato tasted like they were mad the day before and avocado looks old and spoiled but the experience was good

Just came here today and found out that there's been a price hike, making a cafe charge high end restaurant prices. Café Zupas is cheaper and a much better option.

Corner Bakery has long been part of our culinary landscape. Having dined with them and their mother restaurant Maggiano's in Southern California, we cheered when they opened in Utah, particularly Utah County.

Their catering always puts a smile on the faces of those at a meeting or party. We used them countless times to great results.

They are also fantastic for a sit-down lunch or dinner with friends. Sit, enjoy your company, and good food in a warm and comforting atmosphere. The chopped salad is one you will enjoy to the last bite! I crave it. Really, you CAN crave a salad.

And their cream cake!! WARNING!! This is so good, you will become addicted. It is just the right consistency, moist, and flavorful. So good you are going to want to share it with everyone. We have lost count of how many we have gifted over the years.

So if you are ready for a lunch with friends or a meeting meal, Corner Bakery is the place.
