Service is pretty good, food is great, though the space is a little awkward.
I've gotten two different dishes with the gluten free pasta substitute, and both were great. Sauce is rich, meat is well-cooked and portion size is appropriate. No complaints on the food.
They also occasionally throw in some freebies during the meal, like small appetizers and free dessert.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mari C.San Francisco Bay Area, CA33337163May 6, 2024
The address took me to the spot that says Bella outside but it's actually the one with the Osteria Bella sign.
We had a reservation and it was pretty empty on a saturday afternoon so we were immediately sat down. They brought over complimentary bread with what seemed like sundried tomatoes in oil. Bread was so soft and maybe had butter by the taste of it. The oil was delicious and unique as most places just give you balsamic vinegar or oil.
Suppli Napoletana: 10/10
THESE WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD! Great recommendation by our waiter. Very crispy and flavorful.
Gnocchi (unsure of exact name but not on the menu) 10/10
Pasta tasted very fresh that it was soft and easy to eat. The cream wasn't too heavy and lots of shrimp.
My bf absolutely loved his pasta but did mention the pasta was a bit uncooked and hard.
Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Definitely one of the best service we got in the area.
Can't wait to come back and try other things!!

We love Bella. Used to come regularly when we lived in the neighborhood. Came tonight to celebrate April 15.
Restaurant Week menu is wonderful. We both had the prosciutto and melons with aged balsamico. My husband had chicken Parm that was crisp and topped with lovely spinach; my halibut had capers, kalamatas and grape tomatoes. I opted for spinach instead of potatoes as I ate too much of their wonderful bread dipped in sundried tomatoes and oil.
This place is awesome. Friendly staff, great menu, awesome bar. I'm looking forward to exploring their vast selection of AmarosHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 22, 2020Previous reviewWe're regulars for the last 8-9 years. My friend literally threw up after eating here lol.
Not sure if it was something we ate but we both got gnocchi which is what we were told they're known for. I got the Gorgonzola and she got the sorrentina. Mine was good, overpoweringly creamy though so I couldn't finish it all. The waiters were attentive but I felt like it was clear for at least one of them that the nice-ness was fake. Nice decor inside, would probably do well for a date night. I just won't be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 5, 2024
We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and were lucky that the private room was available and we were able to be seated there which was great for a group of 10 people.
To start, we got complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato spread. The spread was great and packed with flavor but I wish the bread was warm and less dense. For apps we got a variety of plates to share including the bone marrow, fried risotto balls, spinach salad and roasted brussel sprouts/cauliflower. The bone marrow and vegetable dishes were great but the risotto balls were a bit too heavy and rice with more cheese than rice. I also wish it came with a tomato based sauce rather than garlic aioli.
For our mains we got the sausage spinach pappardelle and and toasted trout to share. Both were great and the fish was surprisingly really good with crispy skin and really tender meat. I also appreciated the side of spinach considering all the other dishes were pretty heavy.
Our dinner ended with complimentary panna cotta for dessert and since we were there for a birthday, we also got a slice of tiramisu with a candle to celebrate. The panna cotta was delicious and the perfect way to end the meal.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2024
Love their complimentary house bread and sundried tomato evoo dip. The ambiance is really nice but the tables are pretty small and the restaurant is pretty congested. I also am really curious about their layout since they seem to have 3 completely separate dining areas, one of which includes a bar and pool table.
The last time I came here I absolutely fell in love with their Gnocchi, which is supposed to be one of their handmade specialities. I was slightly disappointed this time though. The Gnocchi was reaalllyyy soft, I would almost describe it as mushy. The lasagna was good, not the best. Did enjoy and do recommend their Arancini appetizer, it's not too overpowering with a heavy cheese fill but nice and balanced.
I never have room for dessert left when I come here but on almost all occasions they've offered a complimentary plate, and it turns out being the best part of the meal. Their panna cotta was delicious.
I would love to come here for happy hour instead of dinner and just binge my favorite apps and desserts with a glass of wine.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 9, 2024
Food is quite expensive for what you get. We made a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes on a Monday night.
Service doesn't really acknowledge you as much as they should. FYI the menu on the QR code is the most updated and the ones they have on paper don't reflect the most recent changes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 1, 2024
We came for the New years Eve three course menu and it did not disappoint! Not only was the price point reasonable and extremely fair the portions and flavors were absolutely on point. It's hard to find a New Year's dinner where you don't feel ripped off! The service here was warm and so friendly our waitress was kind and took time to recommend what she enjoyed. The owner I believe came around and took a fun Polaroid picture we got to take home, I thought it was so cute! The ambiance is intimate and just loud enough with the nice upbeat lounge music.
The steak was medium rare and the lobster raviolis had a sauce that you'd wanna just swim in. Everything was great, I cannot recommend it more! Bring your appetite and leave smiling! Happy New Year friends!!!!Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2024Updated review

First of all, the service was good and the server was attentive and friendly. She gets 5 stars but the food gets zero. My wife and I agree that it was the worst Italian food we have ever had at a restaurant. Her Gnocci and butternut squash was under cooked and overly sweet and watery. It was like raw dough balls in maple syrup. My carbonara pasta was very greasy and bland but thankfully the portion was small. The bread was fresh but tasteless and what's with the strange tomato dipping sauce that also had no flavor? The deserts were ok and wine also was fine.
