Wildly expensive for such poor quality food. The lasagna was gross, it was 75% mozzarella. The penne vodka tasted nothing like penne vodka, flavorless and pasty. Chicken Caesar salad was edible, but nothing special or worth getting again. Almost $50 for this. Shameful.

There are numerous great pizza restaurants in the vicinity, and Avellini is yet another worthy choice. It offers delicious food, a pleasant ambiance, and is located in a nice area. The pizzas are impressively large, approximately the size of my torso, and their taste is equally satisfying. While their specialty pizza options are somewhat limited, they do provide a decent variety. The crust is noteworthy, delivering a burst of flavors and a delightful palate. I tried the Sicilian (my least favorite but always worth a try), Margherita, a chicken pizza, and a veggie pizza - all of them were scrumptious. Although it may not be my absolute favorite in the area, it's undeniably a very good option- and the service is attentive. I recommend

Good food and good value. Pizza is above average. I normally don't eat those gimmick slices but I decided to try the chicken casesar slice. I decided to eat it cold because I didn't want the lettuce to wilt and get warm. I loved it. I wouldn't order an entire pie of it but getting it as a slice at room temp or cold is a definite. Staff seems friendly and overall a place I would definitely go back to!

Pretty busy location. BYOB was nice. No large portions. We had an eggplant dish which was Ho hum and an antipasto - Have to go again to try the menu.

Absolutely the worst meal I have ever purchased. I ordered stuffed shells which were pasty, tough and tasteless. The only good thing was the mozzarella they lathered it with, perhaps to give it taste. I would have given it a half star if I could have. I won't waste my time or money here again.

I've been coming here a couple times a year now with my fiancé. We always enjoyed our food it's not the best but has always been good and filling and never crowded, like a diner atmosphere for Italian and you can get a beer.
This weekend was no difference. We enjoyed our Veal Parmesan and garlic bread, the sauce was better on the meat than the pasta. But the reason for the low stars was when they were bringing out the " silverware " from the back. The guy dropped the whole tray. They picked up every piece off the floor and didn't try to even pretend to bring in the back to rinse off...they just put it in the area to be dispensed to customers... ugh. That's not even a question of ...oh I prefer my fork clean ...or maybe a bit of floor might add a nuance of sidewalk to my meal. It's just not sanitary and I'm sure the board of health would agree. ..so no stars for that grossness. The food would have been a 4 . So maybe bring your own plastic disposable knife and fork...otherwise think of the fact that I know where my feet have been ...and it's a dog park.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jb R.Dunellen, NJ04898Mar 24, 2019
We ordered chicken Caesar salads for delivery.
The portion was generous, so you get a lot for your money. Dressing came on the side which was nice. The chicken was really good and cut appropriately for the salad.
You can't pay with your card over the phone, but you can pay with your card when they come to the door. It was very easy. The delivery person was friendly also.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael C.Springfield Township, NJ481134May 11, 2020
GREAT PIZZA AND FOOD. Mario the Owner is amazing! they also have a bar which is great for sports and happy hour! Very family orientated. They have a bartender Michelle who is sweet as pie and a great staff working for them, highly recommend!

Avellinos is a local staple for all things Italian!!! There are great deals on weekly specials and both takeout and dining are always on par. I must've done takeout from there every week during quarantine and have been continuing to just make it a weekly thing. Plus the yummy garlic bread that comes with your order is bomb. Staff are always pleasant and efficient In processing orders and accurately quote pickup times.
PS their wings are easily the best in central JerseyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kyle P.Piscataway, NJ126Aug 24, 2020
Really enjoy this pizza. Like a crispier crust which they do very well. The toppings are never short. Also their chicken fingers are very good IMO. Have ordered multiple times and only once was I mildly disappointed (chicken fingers and fries were cold). Other than that I think it's an underrated option!
