We stopped in for dinner. We were greeted abs seated quickly, but then the minutes ticked by an by and by. Workers sat at tables, chatted, Did whatever, but no one can to ask us what we wanted. We finally got up and drove to Applebee's at the Chesapeake Mall.​ The Suffolk Applebee's SUCKS the big Wanuga.

My daughter's strawberry shake.. it was gross to begin with and 30 minutes later it looked like this. We've came to place atleast 5 times and they have always disappointed

I have not visited nor dined at Applebee's in forever. Well since we are new to the area and not many dining in options are available, my husbae and I decided to eat good in the neighborhood.

We visited this location a few weeks ago on a Thursday night and sat at the bar.

We were greeted within a reasonable amount of time. The bartender was our waitress as well. I believe her name is Jay or something of that sort... short and sweet, like her! She was entertaining and pleasant throughout our dining experience.

She gave suggestions on what to order and made some tasty drinks!

I had the perfect margarita and it was indeed perfect! I will definitely come back for this.

I opted in the 2 for $20 or $24 deal... two meals that included two apps!

I figured I will have one now and one for tomorrow.

It worked out fine and the food was pretty good.

I had the fiesta lime chicken and the cheeseburger and wanted a larger salad.

On this particular day, the Caesar salad was not available, but the house salad was... I was pleased overall.

Not sure if this spot will do things for the upcoming Football season, but I think it's worth a shot to give them a try if you are in the area.

For a Thursday night, about 25 people were present.

Plenty of parking.

Place was filthy! Smell awful, like mold. Food was cold. Had to ask for my cole slaw. Saw a bug, but couldn't get my phone on quick enough.

We visit this location generally when we have family in town and this was no exception. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. Our server forgot our sampler platter and brought it after our main dishes were served. Then, the chicken items were not what we requested, they were buffalo. My medium rare steak was closer to medium well done.

Terrible service. The bartender had to wait for someone to show her how to make the margarita. My husband ordered bone in wings and told the server twice that that is what he wanted - they still placed the order as boneless. They did fix that and he got what he ordered. We didn't even know who our actual server was since 3 different people took out order.

The generous one star is for the timely delivery.
Both meals so nasty....
Freezer burnt Chicken-rubber with a side of stale mashed potato paste, delivered cold.
Chicken in southwest bowl the same Rubber chicken diced up with guacamole that had swirls of black oldness in it.
Had to trash both out of fear of stomach cramps and spending night on toilet.
Waste of $40 dollars. So disappointed how such a huge corporation could be so negligent.

Ordered a grilled chicken salad and it was delivered with no chicken. Asked about where's the chicken and waiter said wait a minute. Waiter came back 5 minutes later with a bowl of chicken. Then I said there's no salad dressing on salad. He said we are out of that dressing that goes with that particular salad. Had to get different dressing that doesn't even go with entree. Was terrible meal. Would had left restaurant way earlier but met up with old friend there and didn't want to start a scene. Will never go back for free for a year.

So we all know no one goes to Applebee's for great food, just a place to hang out grab some decent food and drinks. Well they didn't even live up to THAT! We walked in to a half empty restaurant and still had a 20 minute wait....why, who knows. We got seated at a table that needs to be either scrubbed or thrown out. None of our food came out hot, silverware was filthy, I asked for plastic silverware instead. The lettuce was turning brown and I am positive the cook saw that when they placed it on my burger. Then tried to cover it up with a squishy tomato. The server seemed very absent minded. Should have gone to McDonalds lol.

This place is a fine example of where to NEVER EAT. Had to ask for napkins, salads got served at the same time as the entrees, 35 minutes after we ordered. No silverware, had to use plastic utensils. Salad dressing was rancid. 100% do not recommend.
