Amber Steakhouse

Food and service were outstanding. I was not expecting as much food within the portions, but we took plenty home. We went for lunch. It was pretty empty during this hour. We ordered the calamari to share and my mom had the French onion soup.

For our mains, I had the half rack of lamb and my mom had a seafood platter in a tomato broth. That seafood platter is huge!!! The lamb chops were tender. I left nothing on the bones. It was served in a wine sauce wish I mixed the mashed potatoes in to. The mushroom mix we ordered as a side as well and it was all delicious. Again, we took much of this home because it was a lot, but those lamb chops didn't make it. We ordered dessert to go which was a slice of cheesecake and carrot cake (both as you figured were delicious)

Highly recommend making a reservation and you will not be disappointed! Can't wait to go back to try to the steak and shrimp in a scamp sauce

I'm not sure why people say this place is mediocre at best. It's pretty good and the service is great too.The wait staff was very attentive, funny, on point and patient. The place was filled on a Saturday night even when it was close to closing. I suggest making reservations, or you might be turned away if you walk in.

For the food, it was great. I enjoyed it and it was so delicious. Ordered the burrata, which was delicious since it had this green pesto sauce on it. I've never had a burrata taste like that before. Ordered the rib eye with bone, and it's good for two people. If you want steak sauce, that comes on the side. The steak sandwich that comes with either salad or fries was tasty, too. I asked for a sweet red wine, and the waiter suggested one for me, which wasn't too sweet but still tasty. I don't like dry wines. Had to make room for dessert too. Ordered the cheesecake, which topped the entire meal off for me. Had to make room. I would like to go back one of these days again.

Hubby has always wanted to try this steakhouse and finally got around to do so over the Xmas weekend.

We enjoyed our dinner, the Fried Calamari was crispy outside and flavorful. Sea Scallops were huge with delicious mashed avocado Truffle Sauce. The 24oz Bone-in Ribeye was perfectly cooked to our liking and we added Foie Gras with it. Our server recommended Sautéed Spinach & Mushroom as side dish which was tasty.
We finished off with Carrot Cake and Hazelnut Ice-cream.
We will come back again.

I visited Amber Steakhouse for the first time two weeks ago. I returned with Ashley P for my second visit. We were both hungry, thirsty, and in the mood for a fabulous meal. We ordered two 8oz Filet Mignon's, and two side's of vegetables. The Filet's were absolutely delicious. They were tender, tasty, and the Bordelais sauce was delectable. We shared a Creme Brulee for dessert, and it was a very tasty. Two glasses of Pinot Noir enhanced the experience. The bill was a bit steep, but most definitely worth it. We will back sooner than later.

Absolutely fantastic experience. From the beginning, this was as amazing. I was celebrating my partners 30th Birthday, starting with the Grilled Bacon and the Scallops, two fantastic choices. After washing them down with margarita's, he opted for the Chilean Sea Bass and I for the 20 oz Ribeye with Gnocchi, paired expertly with a glass of White and Red, respectively. Two phenomenal choices! We capped the evening off with the Crème Brûlée and a Cheesecake and it could not have been better. I would recommend this location to ANYONE who wants a nice night out with great service and even better food!

I'm not sure why someone compared this spot to Peter Lugers when it's soooo much better! I dinned here for Valentine's Day and I couldn't have chosen a better location. This Brooklyn steakhouse had top tier service, cooked to perfection steak, fresh sea food and fresh vegetables. My waiter was so accommodating, catering and caring to me. He was knowledgeable of the menu and helped up make the perfect selection. The bar is fully stocked. The ambience is beautiful. I must return to try other menu options. I highly recommend this outstanding steakhouse!

Premium steakhouse in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn offering up quality seafood, sandwiches and steaks including full bar with fantastic cocktails. Professional service every step of our dining service and definitely would recommend.

First time there. Place is nice, a little stuffy. Parking extremely difficult. Service was good. There is no bar area. Food was good. Had the porterhouse for 2 I like it a little more cooked. Appetizers were good.

A meal for the occasion. White table clothed steakhouse putting the FINE in fine dining. Classic ambiance with comfortable service.

We ordered the following for 5 people:

Appetizers: scallops, steak tartare, burrata, and calamari. The scallops would recommend.

Main: porterhouse, you could smell the salivating butter, and ribeye steaks with a crispy char, which paired well with the asparagus, spinach, and mashed potato sides.

Enjoyed the special night out with friends.
