Very disappointing. Unprofessional office staff (Tricia and Leslie). They are rude and condescending and treat other staff horribly. One of the lawyers, Joel K, is rude and condescending as well. I would not trust my company or personal legal issues with this group. They clearly laugh and smirk behind their clients backs and feel they are above the people who are paying them. I have no doubt they would be a talented group of lawyers, but am glad I did not get to the point where I shared my legal issue with any of them.

I reached out their office regarding setting up a small estate to settle some unclaimed funds. Scott C was helpful and knowledgeable about the process so I decided to use his services after discussing the potential cost. I did all the leg work in tracking down and obtaining phone numbers and addresses for the additional heirs and once all was completed including the county recording fee the total was a little over $800. This was acceptable to me as they did do a fair amount of work and I didn't have to take time off work to do anything. Then the check was received from the state lands department and I called Scott to discuss again how I needed to endorse the check and how to distribute funds. He told me I could do it myself or he would be happy to let me make it out to them so they could withhold their fees and also make the distribution letter so it was more official (which they did). All is well up to this point, or so I thought... (here comes the 2 star reason). They charged us an additional $500 to cut six checks and write a partial page letter that broke down the amount for each recipient. My frustration is that while they did help me through the process, to charge $500 for such a simple task (keep in mind he did zero research to find heirs and charged $800 for that) when discussing the options for disbursing funds he never once mentioned that it would cost an extra $500 to cut the checks. I felt we had established a rapport and trusted that he would've at least given me the cost (or an eso I could make a fully informed decision.
