Village Lawn Service

Can't really review this company as they did not cut our yard. They however did get back to us in a timely manner. They were full for the summer. 5 stars for quick response

We hired VLS to take care of our lawn over the summer as we were in the process of listing and selling our home, since we couldn't take care of the yard ourselves due to the ongoing move and our vacation plans. They did an excellent job keeping the lawn mowed and tidy (despite the steep slope in the backyard!), and their weed control abated crabgrass that had started to sprout. Communication and punctuality were also great!

Village mowed my lawn and removed the snow for the last 10 years. We have now moved to Arizona where we only have to blow the sand back into the desert.

In all those years I always had a driveway and sidewalk free of snow early before I left for work.

I looked for temporary lawn care this spring when I had surgery, but I'm so pleased with the VLS service over the summer that I recently got rid of my mower; I intend to keep them. The guys at VLS are reliable, conscientious, and pleasant to work with. And they take it upon themselves to do little extra things that make the lawn look nice.

They do in about 20 minutes what takes me an afternoon to do, -- and without my having to haul around my mower, edger, blower, electrical cords and rake. It's nice also to be free of such things as maintenance of the mower, getting gas for it, etc.

No matter how much you enjoy your home, maintaining a house is a lot of work. For me, after all these years it's good to be free of mowing and to know it will be done well.

We hired VLS when we bought our new house. The previous owners had neglected the landscape for quite some time. The grass was dead in spots, bushes and trees were overgrown and the weeds had taken over. When Dan came out for the estimate, I told him I was looking for someone to do it all, including removing a few bushes that blocked the sidewalk and killed adjacent bushes, trim everything else and get rid of the weeds. We agreed on pricing and he said he'd start that next Tuesday. Monday, I cleaned up the dog mess. Tuesday, nothing. Dan came Wednesday and mowed the lawn. I was disappointed he didn't do anything else, but thought he might come back another day to do the other things. A month later, and we still had overgrown everything! The lawn was mowed and sometimes the edging was done, but not every time. Our lawn service was never done on Tuesday as first stated. I texted Dan to ask about the other services we discussed and he said he would do them over the next couple of weeks. He finally came with a few guys and they removed the bushes and trimmed up the others. No weeds were done. He mentioned removing the bushes killed by the now removed overgrown bushes. I agreed and said I would like anything dead to be removed as well. He said he'd be back for weeding. Almost another month later and the dead bushes hadn't been removed and no weeding had been done. I decided I could take care of the lawn and landscaping myself.

We have had Village Lawn service mow our lawn for the last 20 years. Ron and Dan and the rest of the family are just great. They came every week no matter the weather and did a perfect job. They were extremely reasonable. A pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend them. The Heides.

Very thorough, cleaned up after themselves and closed gates when they were finished. When I called their office, they were professional and answered every question. Very customer service orienteda rare find.
