- A Gandhi G.Nashville, TN1131Oct 25, 2018Updated review
Updating my review from 2 starts to 1 star per the business owner accusing my review as containing mistruths.
On 10/19/2019 Greg K. wrote: "As for the paint and repair... you yourself chose the paint color and approved the repair after it had been completed."
This is absolutely FALSE and I am happy to share the message string with the Trapper Jack employee that conducted the work to prove this. I did NOT chose the paint color as claimed. The Trapper Jack employee and I agreed to have the work conducted at 2:00 PM on July 30th, 2018. The Trapper jack employees arrived at my home before 11:00 AM - prior to my being home and started to conduct the repairs and painted the house (again, without my choosing the paint color). I was not even warned about their starting their work early - the only way I found out was because of my security camera alerts.
If Trapper Jack had waited for me to arrive or conducted the work at the agreed upon time (or even rescheduled) I would have happily given them the precise paint color that was used by our home builders. Additionally, I did NOT approve the repairs and upon pointing out the color NOT matching was told by the Trapper Jack employees that they were "not going to climb up that steep roof again".
To the business owner: I'm happy to discuss this further with you, but definitely do not appreciate my review being labeled as containing mistruths - in fact, your response is what contains mistruths.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I am truly sorry to hear and read this. However, the squirrels were not present during our initial inspection, nor were they ever reported as still being active during our trapping effort. Which is not an unusual scenario for the middle of July, being the hottest month of the year. As for the paint and repair... you yourself chose the paint color and approved the repair after it had been completed. And as far as a dead squirrel goes, this is the first I’m hearing of such a thing. Anyone that knows me and knows my business practices, knows I would never allow such a thing as you’re describing here. You may interpret that any way you like, but I really don’t appreciate the mistruths you’ve posted here.

Trapper Jack Wildlife SpecialistAug 30, 2018Previous reviewWe spent $750 with Trapper Jack to trap squirrels and fix potential entry points into our attic as we heard something running around upstairs. Trapper Jack did not trap a single squirrel and after a couple of weeks not catching anything they came back to patch the suspected entry points on our roof. The patching job was not done that great as the patches are clearly visible from the ground because a different paint color was used on the patches (they started and completed the work before I could get home and provide them with the correct paint...and did not agree to go back on the roof to correct this). Additionally, while they were patching the potential entry points they managed to damage one of our rain water gutter plates - it now looks as if has been bent back into shape.
The main reason for my bad review though is that even after the roof patching was conducted we found a dead squirrel in our attic today. And of course the carcass brought with it an awful smell that lasted a few days in addition to a mess of flies and roaches...and it has been less than a month since the patching was conducted. - Buster S.Nashville, TN012Apr 20, 2020
I paid a lot of money and I still have rats in my basement. Nice people but find someone else who will get the job done and not leave you with the same problem you paid them to solve in the first palace.

That just sounds terrible, Buster...problem is, I do not see any Buster's in our list of invoices... or estimates for that matter. Perhaps you got us mixed up with someone else. Perhaps Buster really isn't your name. Perhaps you didn't take our very detailed advice as to what you should do about your ongoing rat problem. You see, I don't know for sure, because the only person I've spoken with recently about an ongoing rat problem, seem to understand that we had done everything we could do without being given permission to take it a few steps further. That person praised our effort thus far and even agreed to pay more for the additional, very extensive steps necessary to try to figure out how the rats were getting into his crawlspace, seeing how we had already sealed everything we could get to. That person's crawlspace was encapsulated and he seem to understand, because the rats were chewing through the plastic material used to encapsulate, that the rats were entering from underneath the plastic and that the only way to locate the entry was to remove the flooring portion of the encapsulation. That person seemed to understand, but that person didn't agree to that necessary step. That person's home was built on top of a lot that had a previous home built on it and it was suggested that the rats could be entering through old piping. That person was going to try to get blueprints of the old property so that we could either one, try to determine where this pipe might be so we could avoid removing more of the encapsulation than necessary or two, eliminate that possibility all together. That person agreed we had done everything we were contracted to do. That person waited several months in between calls to report that rats were still finding their way in. That person was texting our technician after midnight many times, and waking his new born baby. That person dropped the ball, not us. But that person's name wasn't Buster. I'd actually be happy to give anyone that is reading this review, that persons phone number and address, so that person could confirm what I have written to be absolutely true or perhaps stop by and see for themselves, but again, that person's name isn't Buster.
Now, seeing how you're not that person and we have never serviced a Buster, I would assume you will be deleting your review, as to avoid a slander lawsuit. If it so happens that Buster is an alias and you are indeed that person, I would assume you'll be amending your review, to include the truth about the service and the advice you were given, as to avoid a slander lawsuit.

I cannot recommend calling Trappee Jack highly enough. We had a problem with racoon feces and Ben was able to care of the whole ordeal for $1,100. This same job was quote by another company for $10,000... In a field where i know nothing about, I appriciate honestly and transparency. Trapper Jack provided that.

Bats! We had 'em, now we don't. After trying two other wildlife removal companies and being massively disappointed in their lack of follow up, Drew was able to get rid of the bats in our attic in just a few days. Quick to estimate, affordable, and professional. While re-enacting the bat scene from Tommy Boy was quite the experience, I look forward to never, ever, never doing that again. Trapper Jack sent my bats a packing.

Ben was a badass! We had a mama squirrel and her three babies causing damage and annoyance to our car port. Within an hour, Ben came through and spent an hour catching them. It was quite the scene, considering the mama squirrel chased us. Ben was empathetic and made sure that he kept the babies in the same cage as their mother to help keep her calm. Additionally, we had a hard time finding the third baby. Ben was all packed up and filling out our paperwork, when I spotted the final baby. With that, he got his ladder right back out and kept at it until he got the whole family. He promised that he takes all of the animals he catches and sets them free at least 20 miles away. We were very impressed, had a few laughs and would recommend Ben and his company to anyone needing wildlife removal. He even gave us some tips on how to avoid the same thing happening in the future. Overall success! We all high-fived at the end, because we're cool like that. Thanks Ben!! We know you won't ever forget us and that (those) darn squirrel(s)!

Drew and this crew did an incredible professional job. Down to earth folks who know what they are doing. Great price and not over hyped like so many other companies. So thankful for a job well done

Not a fun situation to have going on in your home, but great guys to help you out. We had rats getting in and they got them all out and sealed the house up from further critters getting in! They really care and that shows in their persistence to get the problem dealt with for good! They also have a great warranty and great prices!

I am very happy to write my first Yelp review for Trapper Jack. We have had a groundhog and skunk issue under our house for almost 2 years. We spent close to $1,000 on another wildlife control company and they were never able to catch the animals or control their entry under our house. We finally reached our wit's end and called Trapper Jack when the groundhogs destroyed an HVAC line. Drew, a wildlife specialist, returned my call in a matter of hours and came out to assess the situation the next morning. He was extremely thorough in surveying the animal activity under the house and knowledgeable about their habits, and consequently, the best way to trap them. By that afternoon, he caught the skunk and then two groundhogs in the next two days. He was also diligent to follow up and make sure there was no further animal activity so we could be sure that our HVAC repairs would not be in vain. Trapper Jack guarantees results and gets them!
