I've had a mediocre experience receiving treatment here for over the course of a year, and I attribute some of the lack of proper treatment due to Mindful Health Solutions losing my test results for 3+ months.

I originally pursued psychiatric services here because my therapist recommended me to get tested for ADHD. I was with my initial psychiatrist for a few months but I feel like I lacked in-depth care, and she didn't seem to take it seriously to warn me about side effects and combinations of medication. I eventually had a panic attack after being on a combination of medications, and it wasn't until meeting with my second psychiatrist where he explained that people with anxiety are predisposed to having panic attacks.. he changed my treatment of medications, which I felt better about afterwards.

I enjoyed the medication management and care that I received with my second psychiatrist, however he was unable to reach a conclusion for whether or not to diagnose me with ADHD. Part of it was due to MHS losing/misplacing (???) my records for a few months. The second reason is because I have comorbid symptoms with a few possible diagnoses. The third reason is because my psychiatrist left this practice. He said he couldn't provide me a recommendation for another provider in MHS because MHS didn't respond to his request to receive more information about providers.

I guess it's not bad if you just need prescriptions and minimal support, but I question trusting MHS due to waiting to receive a diagnosis for over a year.

As someone who has struggled with mental health issues, finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. Thankfully, I came across Sahab Yaqubi in Oakland and I can confidently say he has been a lifesaver.
From the moment I walked into his office, Yaqubi made me feel comfortable and at ease. He has a calming presence and a genuine interest in helping his clients. His approach is both empathetic and practical, and he has a wealth of knowledge and experience in various mental health issues. Yaqubi is a great listener and always provides insightful and thought-provoking responses. He has a unique ability to pinpoint the root causes of my struggles and guide me towards finding solutions. With his guidance, I have been able to overcome some of my deepest fears and insecurities. One of the things I appreciate most about Yaqubi is his flexibility and availability. He is always willing to work around my schedule and accommodate my needs. This level of dedication and commitment is hard to find in the therapy world.
Overall, I cannot recommend Sahab Yaqubi enough. He is a compassionate and competent therapist who has truly made a positive impact on my life. I am grateful to have him as my therapist and I know anyone who seeks his help will feel the same.

I moved out of my house as a result of the extreme stress. Sahab Yaqubi of Mindful Health Solutions has been my go-to resource for assistance in Oakland. I feel less alone in all of this thanks to Sahab and the Oakland MHS staff, who are incredibly understanding.
We discuss the serious things, like my reasons for leaving. It feels a little bit easier because they have these neat tools and strategies for handling things. Talking isn't enough; you also need to figure out how to deal with the mess.
Sahab Yaqubi and Mindful Health Solutions are the real deal for anyone my age going through a difficult time. They understand, and they are here to guide you through the difficult times and towards better feelings.

Certainly! Being an introvert means that I tend to recharge by spending time alone or in quiet environments, and I may feel drained after socializing for extended periods. This can sometimes lead to difficulties in social situations, as I may feel shy or uncomfortable in large groups or when meeting new people. During my sessions with Sahab Yaqubi, we discussed these challenges and explored ways to manage them. Yaqubi helped me recognize the value in being introverted and offered strategies to navigate social interactions more comfortably, such as setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and finding activities that align with my preferences. Overall, working with Yaqubi has empowered me to embrace my introverted nature and develop the confidence to navigate social situations more effectively.

I found comfort at MHS in the busy city of Oakland, where my therapist, Sahab Yaqubi, became my mentor. Sahab's kind manner was quite helpful to me when I was depressed and anxious because it got me through the dark times. With the help of therapy and individualized techniques, he gave me the courage to face my inner demons. I was able to come out of the shadows and regain my strength and resilience with Sahab's resolute support. I'm thankful to Sahab and Oakland MHS now for guiding me through my darkest moments and helping me find healing and hope.

I wanted to explore TMS as an option for ongoing depression and anxiety. 'Doctor' Alvin Lau was very unprofessional. Mind you this is a conversation about applying electro magnetic pulses to your brain and I felt like I was talking to a 14 year old stoner. This group is absolutely inept in almost every way from billing, to care provided, requests for medical records have gone unanswered and then when they are sent they are incomplete. They are unresponsive and over charged me, their system is buggy and doesn't work. Save your mental health and go elsewhere!

I waited 6 weeks for an appointment and they canceled my appointment a day before without any explanation other than "scheduling issues". If I had done the same thing, they would've charged me $175. And then they tell me the next available appointment would be in another 6 weeks at a much farther location, which does not provide the same types of therapy that I told them I was looking for in my intake call. This is just evidence of being completely disorganized and having poor and untimely communication between practitioners, admin, and patients.

Had my official first treatment today and it went great! Ever since my first consultation, the staff and doctors have been so helpful and kind. I've had the pleasure of having Iris as my medical tech and she is AMAZING! Made me feel so safe and comfortable. I really enjoyed her positive vibe and energy! Looking forward to this journey!

I would not recommend using Mindful Health Solutions to anybody. I was consistantly shocked by how bad their admin teams were, how complicated it was to get my medication sent to the pharmacy, and the lack of notice about anything going on with my appointments, prescriptions, or provider.

At some point during my ~2yr using MHS as a provider, they changed their policy or something so now they required me to manually reach out to get my presciptions refilled every single time... monthly. This despite being actively treated for a mental health condition that makes keeping track of this definitionally difficult. On top of this, I was occasionally assured my presciption had been sent when the pharmacy hadn't received anything from MHS. At one point I reached out to refill my medication and was asked "what medication". I have only ever been prescribed one medication with the same dose for now multiple years by this provider. And besides, they are the ones with my medical records and extensive chat history that primarily consists of me asking them monthly for this medication to be refilled.

I had to reach out back in Feb after seeing that my appointment had been cancelled without any notice. I was told I would be contacted to set up another appointment. I was never contacted.

Luckily, this time they sent enough medication to cover the time between then and now (I don't understand why they couldn't have been sending me this amount of medication the entire time).

Now I'm getting down to my last doses and I reach out to see if I could get an appointment or a refill. This is when I am told that my provider is leaving the company. My doctor I have been seeing for ~2yrs is leaving and I had to find out by trying to schedule an appointment with them to receive more of the medication that I need. Nobody from MHS contacted me at any point to let me know this was happening or to set me up with a new provider. Nobody contacted me to tell me anything. And nobody contacted me to set up any appointments after my previous appointment was cancelled without notice.

The mental healthcare system in the US is an unconscionable mess but Mindful Health Solutions took that as a challenge to make it worse. Please save your time and mental energy.
