What a lovely tea house! Afternoon tea service was high-quality and affordable. It was only about $25 per person. My friends and I started off with hibiscus flowers stuffed with goat cheese (a unique and delectable appetizer), and I was impressed that our tea service included a first course of chicken salad and croissant! The classic tea service itself had scones, pastries/desserts, and finger sandwiches. And of course the tea was delightful! They also refill your pot of tea for free. Since it was my friend's and my birthday, they also brought out little chocolate covered cherries with candles for us, which was a sweet end to our tea time. When you're done with your afternoon tea, check out their gift shop too! At the gift shop, I found some snake jewelry from a local artist. The gift shop also has plenty of teapots and tea-related gifts and books.

This is one of the best tea rooms in the south. I've been going here with family and friends for years, and from the warm hospitality to the delicious high tea lunch menus and tea varieties, it always impresses -- try the masala chai and the strawberry cream flavors!

I absolutely can't say enough about this place. It was the absolute BEST time I think i have ever had. We went for tea at 11 a.m., which was the perfect time. The lunch crowd there is off the chain.
Be sure and make reservations and you can even order ahead of time. Also, if you have food alergies, be sure to tell them.
The food was spectacular. The tea was...indescribable. I think they said it was jasmine with hints of lemon and white chocolate. The kids didn't like the tea so they were given hot chocolate. They catered to all our special needs.
They even had dress up clothes if you so choose. Simply perfect experience. Laurel was the perfect server. Great class.
It was especially sweet to me as it was like i was having a tea party with my grandmother againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rachel P.Savannah, GA156121135Nov 5, 2019
Really enjoy bringing my cousins here and they love dressing up in the fun hats, drinking their tea, and enjoying their treats. However, it is very overpriced for what the amount of food you get. Definitely eat before you come or your little kiddos might be mad at you which definitely happened to me.
I have been here plenty of times before but I had a horrible experience with our server. However, I will say the manager came around multiple times and was beyond sweet to us but I had to tell her multiple things that were wrong.
For my complaints: it took forever for us to get our order even though I had called ahead. They completely forgot one of my kids drink even after being reminded. We were charged for extra items which was corrected before leaving, but overall I was disappointed in service. I rarely dock restaurants and am able to give them grace when I think it is just a small issue but I was extremely disappointed to receive this amount of service when my bill was very large since it was a bigger group and I had the cutest little ones with me that were completely forgotten.
I went here growing up and loved it but won't be taking back my cousins because it was overpriced and not worth the experience at the end of the day.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jacqueline D.Douglasville, GA05Jun 20, 2021
Absolutely Wonderful! I visited this lovely location a week ago. I have to say, the negative reviews are quite surprising and undeserving . This was my very first visit to a tea house for afternoon tea. It was everything that I expected. The environment was wonderful. The food was fresh and homemade. No "gas station" food anywhere to be found. The quality of the food from the flavorful scones, finger sandwiches with the freshest, softest bread, and mouthwatering mini desserts was exceptional. I had the snowflake tea, that contained hints of coconut and almond that was just the right temperature. The pricing was quite reasonable and the team was friendly and obviously hard working. I don't think the "non-tea" people really understand what all is involved in the running of this type of establishment.
There was a gift shop full of lovely teapots and an assortment of items to purchase. My first afternoon tea experience left a lasting impression. So much so, that I have decided to visit a tea house for afternoon tea at least two Fridays per month, if not EVERY Friday if I can.
I am currently visiting other tea houses, and will definitely add Tea Leaves and Thyme into my rotation! Thanks for the great experience and keep up the great work!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Antonia F.Woodstock, GA107173298Jul 25, 2019
Really cute tea house. I was disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food, though. I have been to many tea places and most have the same selections but I found this one to be priced quite high considering the small portions. That 3 tier tray was my lunch, my daughters' lunch as well as an extra order of scones. Neither of daughters ate much except the fruit. I know that you are mostly paying for the experience but I had to make lunch for my girls when we got home because they didn't like the food there (which was a first). The tea was good and staff was friendly but not sure if I'd be back for our next mother daughter tea.

"I'm having a tea party. What do you think's going on?" -- The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 | Episode 15
Oh how I want to give this place more stars...because they did so many things well. But the things they failed on are glaring. Let's start with the positives.
My mom, sister-in-law, niece and I have an annual tradition of high tea at Thanksgiving or Christmas. We've done most of the places in San Francisco so we decided to take a break and do some Atlanta area places before we do more in SF. So from recommendations from friends and Yelp, we picked TLT this year. I called and left a message and made my reservation (more on that later).
We showed up on the Friday before Christmas for our 11am appointment and were seated in the window. I had told them on the phone of my tree nut allergy and it was denoted on the placard on the table and the server was also aware. Perfect. I had also explained that my niece was 15 and would be having hot chocolate (too old for a princess tea, too young to have any interest in hot tea). All great so far.
Our server took our orders for which tea we each wanted and which speciality lunch item we wanted (chicken salad, chicken salad on croissant, tomato tart). She did explain they could accommodate the chicken salad on croissant without almonds for me. She then brought out little cups of lemon curd and amaretto cream. She explained the cream had amaretto, so I couldn't have it. I asked if she could bring lemon curd without the cream... "sure, it'll be $1." Really? You brought two tiny cups of lemon curd...why were you not thoughtful enough to bring one withOUT the cream that will KILL me? Instead you'll bring me one for an extra $1. Okay, fine, sure. I'll pay to not die.
Anyway, the beautiful tiered tray came out with all the food on it and she explained what everything was - pretty much everything had tree nuts in it. Never once did she say I was getting something separate. A few minutes later, they brought me my own little platter with everything tree nut free. Very thoughtful and awesome. Also, a lemon curd without cream... for $1. Our teas also came... and she couldn't remember which was mine and which was my mom's. By the way, my mom's would kill me because it was infused with tree nuts. Really? I will say, she was young. We had to pour them both and smell them to figure out which was which.
The food was pretty good. There were pimento cheese sandwiches on a dark bread, ham sandwiches, cucumber and mint sandwiches and a pineapple and cream cheese on raisin bread. There were a couple of different mini scones - vanilla, cranberry and something with nuts. Apple and orange slices, lemon squares (which were a bit sweet and not tart enough for my taste), chocolate and raspberry squares, a brownie I couldn't eat, and mini muffins with amaretto cream (my niece said that she didn't find nuts in the muffin, just the cream, yet none of these were on my plate). I did enjoy the chicken salad (with grapes) on the croissant - it needed a bit of salt.
My tea was good, an orange infused black tea. I was not offered a refill, but my table mates were, thankfully. I think they were anxious to turn over our table as our server asked if she could box up the rest of our food 3 times while my mom still was actively eating. At $16.50 per person, I would have expected to be able to have the table for more than 60 minutes with the rushing to begin. Overall it was a good, not great experience. I appreciate the attention to the allergies, albeit the server needing to be a bit better trained on handling. I had zero issues and for that I thank TLT immensely.
Other small things - after spelling my name on the voicemail I left twice and detailing 4 people including a 15 year old. When I was called back, she tried to book me for 2 people and didn't know anything about having a teen. Also, my reservation (and the placard) said Wendy. Small things, but good things to confirm if you will only deal with people via telephone.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Christi M.TX, TX215743May 28, 2020
I came here with my husband and best friend. It's a perfect tea room. The coconut tea is outstanding and the little plates of appetizers and soups really helps to create the ambiance. When you come in, they even offer you an opportunity to dress up. Very cute. I'll come back if I'm ever in Woodstock again!

Our small office has come here twice now for our annual Christmas lunch. It's always such a quaint and cute place to visit. The tomato soup was really good as was the hibiscus appetizer. Love shopping in the little gift shop too!
