When I first met Talya I was 25 with a history of binge eating as far back as I can remember. As a result of this and the emotional barricades upholding it I'd been running myself arid with anxiety and bouts of depression. That was over a year ago and I truly feel like a changed person.
Talya has been a cooling balm from the moment I met her. Her teachings showed me how to take responsibility for my health and ultimately how to mature as an individual. Not only is Talya incredibly wise and intelligent she is outstandingly sweet and warm. She is a rare treasure indeed. You will leave her office feeling like you'd been with a mystic healer. Talya has cultivated her craft of helping other people and everyone can benefit both physically and mentally from her advice. That is so long as people are ready to accept the healing journey.
Talya offers classes online and in-person sessions for one-on-one advice. I highly recommend having a session with her first and then taking her classes. Although I don't think it is necessary, it makes the classes much more personalized. Her classes are wonderfully detailed and thorough and offer much healing information. By having a session with her first you can take her classes knowing yourself better and apply the advice that is personal to you.
Sending healing vibes your way.
Hare Krishna!

Just completed the 7-Day Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse with Talya. It was wonderful! She provided AWEsome support including a prep day meeting one week prior, a guide and manual, which had wonderful recipes, and online support. I would highly recommend working with her and will back for the fall cleanse.

A friend of mine in Santa Cruz got the flu and I wish I could have brought them some Chicken Soup, but since I live in SF I couldn't do that. So Talya made her delicious and health (healing) chicken soup and delivered it for me to my friend. She even took a picture of the jars that she left on my friend's door step (love that, what a sweet and caring touch)
I so appreciate Talya's amazing cooking and the care with which she delivered the food and left a little note for my friend on my behalf. Ordering the food and email communication with her was very easy.
My friend loved the soup and is on the mend.
Thank you for your love, support and amazing healing food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Colleen C.San Francisco, CA16253Dec 17, 2012First to Review
Over the years I began noticing that I would get very sluggish during the winter months. I tried different things, exercise, acupuncture, etc but nothing helped. I figured it was just something I had to cope with. Then I went to Talya and received her awesome Ayurvedic pulse reading (she's an Ayurvedic doctor) and that began a real change in my health. I discovered that as the seasons change my body type needed different foods to feel grounded but not weighted down.
Basically after you learn about your body type then Talya prepares custom yummy food that supports your system and leaves you feeling more vibrant. She has classes that teach you how to cook in a way that works for your body too. What a wonderful experience!
Since then I've done her cleanses, taken cooking classes, and LOVE her cookbook. I have the first one she wrote and look forward to checking out her newest one.
I highly recommend all that Talya has to offer. She is funny, bright, and a pleasure to be around. It's no secret that I'm a fan, if you try out her offerings I am sure you will be too.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daisy A.Los Angeles, CA15010013Apr 7, 2013
Talya's food is AMAZING. Her recipes are full of seasonal veggies, nuts, seeds, spices, and fresh herbs. Her food never fails and is so healthy! I love her new cookbook, The Ayurvedic Vegan. She is also a great cooking instructor. I highly recommend her cooking classes too!

I just finished a 7-day Spring food cleanse with Talya and thought it was fantastic. We started with an orientation session (1.5 to 2 hours). Talya gave us a very well put together, substantial manual filled with cleanse & food information, what we were going to do on the cleanse, how to prepare for it and delicious recipes to make on the cleanse with accompanying information on how some of the recipes healed the body. She went over the manual in detail and also brought products that we could purchase to help with the cleanse, but there was no pressure at all to buy anything. It was great that the orientation was scheduled 3 days before the start of the cleanse so we had a little time to plan, shop and prepare. Each day of the cleanse, we received a group morning email with instructions or tips, and we were encouraged to chime in with what we were eating, experiencing and ask questions. As the week progressed, hearing what different people were going through, what they were eating and some of the challenges or issues they were having was very, very helpful. Some applied to me and some did not, but it was all very educational and it helped me to keep going. It was so much easier (and delightful I must add) than I thought it would be.
From the orientation to the daily emails, Talya was upbeat, encouraging, respectful, responsive, knowledgeable and very caring. I learned a lot and felt very supported.
As a result of the cleanse, I feel more in my body and there is a feeling of clarity that I did not have before the cleanse. I will be adding some of the practices to my daily life, and was also delighted to try the delicious recipes in the manual, many of which will be part of my everyday diet. I plan on extending the cleanse on my own for another 2 weeks with the intent of losing more weight, feeling a lightness in my body and whatever other benefits that will come up as a result of further detoxing my liver, tonifying my blood and releasing me from any previous food addictions or cravings. I was a daily 1-2 glass a day wine drinker and have found that I don't "need" it or crave it anymore. I do like the taste of wine so in the future, I can choose to drink it, a big difference. I have also learned to stop eating when I am half full, and only eat when I am hungry.
I would highly recommend this Spring cleanse. I am also aware that there is a Fall cleanse, which I will most likely do when it is offered. It's great to do a cleanse, and really smart to do it with Talya.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
