Tada Sushi Studio

My new favorite sushi spot in all of Portland! I ordered my staples, salmon nigiri - excellent! Aji - fantastic! but the O choro tuna nigiri was the coup de grace... best tasting, most buttery tuna nigiri I've ever had! Butter fish nigiri was exceptional and the owner whipped up a striped bass maki (off the menu) Also, Just phenomenal. Family owned. Friendly. Date night ambience. This place is a gem! My new favorite sushi spot in town. I'll be back.

This place is absolutely magical. First of all, it's not too full so the staff actually gives you excellent service. The ambiance is peaceful and calming, and the food is out of this world.
- if you like pork, you NEED to order the tada ramen. I feel like if I had cov1d, dengue fever and malaria all at the same time, this ramen would cure everything. It feels like it is warming you up from the inside. Absolutely amazing.
- If you like sushi, definitely try the shrimp tempura roll. It is amazing. No further explanation needed.
They also have spicy options, actual entree dishes, and various drinks to try.

Good food, cute interior, but the worst service I have ever experienced. They do not honor reservations.

I made a reservation days in advance via phone for my boyfriend's birthday (party of 2 for 630). When we arrived a few minutes early, they had no record of our reservation, even after I politely reminded them twice. Despite this, they offered us measly seats at the sushi bar/take out space with barely any space to eat instead of a table. I had to be firm and insist on our reservation. This was very upsetting because I would have chosen another restaurant if I knew they treated reservations this way.

Once we were finally seated, we were given menus and waters but then ignored for 20-25 minutes. I noticed that the table beside us had a plaque indicating a reservation for a party of five at 5:45, so they clearly honor some reservations, just not others. Also we witnessed many larger groups and parties with children without reservations getting greeted at their tables at a much faster pace.

When we tried to order drinks, the server told us they were out of the first two beers I requested. I finally asked for a third option, assuming it would be the same size, but the server brought a smaller size, which is more expensive per ounce. This normally wouldn't be a large issue, but given all the other issues with the night, it compounded my disappointment.

The food came out without any sense of urgency. Other tables were automatically set with wasabi and ginger, but I had to ask for it when our sushi came out. Given the high prices, I expected better service. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

It was my boyfriend's birthday, which I mentioned to them at the start of the evening, making the experience particularly disappointing. We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to our local friends who are avid sushi lovers. We would only consider coming back if we were guaranteed that the service had significantly improved.

Loves out first dinner here with the family. Everything was delicious and you can see how much care goes into their menu, presentation and the dining area is so warm and welcoming. We will be back!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in town. Drinks and food are delicious, servers are really sweet, and there's a cozy private room option. Highly recommend the Spicy tuna rice cake appetizer, but you will need to get 2 orders so no one has to fight over the last piece.

Ok peeps - sushi is good. For sure. Happy Hour is nice they have one.

HOWEVER - suggest take out!! The inside is run like a poor grocery store or something. Linens cleaning supplies extra glassware grqces the bar area, literally the covering on the booth where i sat was PEELING off. Everything about decor was in a state of disrepair!! It was definitely not the "nice" experience i went for and on top of that, tool a client there. Wish I hadnt!

Again, their sushi is good. However, i will never eat inside again. It felt dirty and basically uncared for!

I was encouraged by the adorable interior of the place, but was immediately concerned with the service. When our group of four walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation because they were "very busy". Wouldn't have been concerning, except when you looked around the restaurant, and the entire time we were there, about half the tables were totally empty. We were sat immediately, but sort of treated like an inconvenience. She did, however, bring out our water and some edamame to begin rather quickly.
My husband and I ordered the Afro Eskimo roll and a Baked Salmon roll and I got the Matcha Martini. The martini was supposed to taste like a green tea latte with rum, vodka and Bailey's, but really only tasted like Bailey's. I like Bailey's, but I specifically ordered the drink for the novelty of a matcha-flavored martini and that's not what I got.
As far as the rolls, they weren't as flavorful as I would've liked and they were definitely more expensive than I'm used to paying for sushi of this caliber. We only ordered two rolls and a drink and paid about as much as we typically pay at our go-to sushi spot for 4 or 5 rolls. I wouldn't have minded if this sushi was particularly better than my usual.
The main flavor of the Afro Eskimo roll was the fried onions. The roll itself was fairly bland and not spicy at all, for supposedly being full of spicy tuna. The baked salmon roll was better, but nothing to write home about.
Overall, I wouldn't come back. This was a place we tried on a whim and I wasn't super disappointed with it, but I know I can get better sushi and better service elsewhere for less money.

Great restaurant! The fish was fresh and cut just right! The appetizers and side dishes are excellent! The staff were very friendly providing excellent service! Thank you Ploy and Delena for your hospitality! Tada is a must try!

My fist time here. Very lovely ambiance. The service was good and the dishes creative with lovely platings.
The Waikiki salad was god but a bit spicier then I imagined. The bento box has several options to choose from. The unicorn roll was my favorite from this experience. Marked down 1 star as the fish was room temperature and could have been fresher.

Great chill ambiance, delicious rolls, friendly service, nice beverage selection, reasonably priced. Skip the wait at Bamboo across the street and enjoy this spot.
