life in ucla includes a parking permit and a meal card...enjoying the freshman 15 life...up the stairs from charles e. young...wedged between carnesale and sproul...newer sproul residential restaurant...told sproul is the "healthy" dining option....typical american dormitory buffet...finding the omelette line too long in the mornings...made to order egg white or standard egg omelette with variety of toppings...taking the basic scramble, bacon and potato plate under the warming lamp instead...grabbing tater tots to pack in the extra calories...waffles?..sure...will take one too...add sweet fruity syrup and cream too...waffles were spongy and bad...potato cubes were dry, but can't go wrong with fried tater tots...another morning and unable to look at the food...taking a muffin, cereal and cottage cheese...next, trying the breakfast sandwich..the english muffin sandwich was good...reminded me of an egg mcmuffin...lunches were crowded...the always available pizza, bruin burger and grilled cheese...edible is best word to describe....the salad bar is pretty basic, but grilled vegetables were a favorite...what's healthy about sproul?...no sodas...all machines containing milk or fruit juices...no coke or pepsi...soups are decent...sandwich bar provides basic cold cuts...wake up and breakfast buffet...class and lunch buffet...freshman 15 life...
