Sportsman's Warehouse

I moved to Ivins, Utah, from Reno, NV., about 3 1/2 years ago. I did quite a bit of shopping at the Reno Sportsman's and now shop at the St George Sportsman's. One of the biggest things about this business is that they consistently have good people working for them and very good customer service. Their entire store is a grownup toy store for the outdoor enthusiast. Prices are fair, the quality of the merchandise is very good, and the store is always neat, clean, and well organized with plenty of merchandise to choose from. And it's not just a guy store. My wife also enjoys going there, shopping for clothing mainly, and others do dads. There are items in there for the kids as well. So check it out. You'll enjoy it. My wife and I highly recommend this business.

This is an outstanding place for anybody who is outdoorsy.

My first impression after walking in the store was the extremely well done display of various game animals in the area, all with appropriate identification labels. You just don't see that very often.

My interest was over in the gun department. As a Californian, subject to the inane and ineffective gun control laws passed by liberal legislators, I must say it is a pleasure to at least see actual firearms on display that only pictures of are allowed in CA.

And whoa, ammo prices are great ! I got what I needed and ambled out to my car thinking how nice it is not to be treated like a potential criminal, like I am in CA. In CA to purchase ammo, you need to show ID, prove you have previously purchased a firearm, pay $1 fee, be subject to verification via computer and often, a lengthy wait for approval. This prevents crime? Of course not.

Sportsman's Warehouse in St. George is a great place, thanks for a glimpse of rationality. And great ammo prices !

Still waiting on an order. Placed it, confirmed it, they said it shipped. Gave me a tracking number that has nothing to track. UPS never got the package. Sportsman's Warehouse won't refund me. They say I need to reject the delivery....I can't, there is no delivery! And, they won't listen to me.

I'm from San Diego, and found myself in Cedar city Utah for a few hours. I saw a large sign that said "Sportsman's Warehouse" and decided to see if I can find any deals. The two ladies at the front greeted me. When I walked into the apparel section I met a very cool guy named Darrell. Darrell is very knowledgeable about a lot of things. He is really big on merchandising and logistics. Once you get him talking about fishing though, you'd better pack a lunch. Ha! So lucky to have people like this that work in the service industry. Darrell explained so much about the store. He explained where I could find various items, the history of some taxidermic animals mounted on the walls, and other locations of Sportsman's warehouse is located throughout the country.

That's A+ customer service. I would go back just to solicit Darrells expertise on outdoor gear and deals.

Just leaving this store, the young man at the gun counter told me as a non-resident that I would not be able to purchase a firearm from them. Seems silly for such a big store to not be able to ship to an FFL in my state. Disappointed that I waited in line for the deal I had seen in the paper, only to be told that "it's been a thing since the 70's" that a non-resident can't purchase a handgun. 1-star if the store in fact can't ship to an FFL. Or 1-star for poorly trained staff who don't know the laws.

​​ the worst customer service in southern Utah . I made an appointment to have a used gun evaluated . I drive 18 miles get there on time for the appointment and there's nobody available to evaluate it . It would have been nice if they told me that when I made the appointment . Big waste of time and money for gas there and back thanks for nothing.

If you can get over the dead animals, Sportsman is a great place to purchase casual outdoor clothing. Found a few pieces on sale for my Spring safari trip. My husband buys Columbia shirts on sale at Sportsman.

Had just the ammo in quantities I needed, including hard to find 38 Special.

Worst sportsmans warehouse I've ever been to. I stood at the gun counter for 30 minutes with my son and was ignored repeatedly by employees. I tried another time to order online, they said what I wanted was in stock and available to pick up same day so I ordered online. It was never available same day. I had to wait a week then it was cancelled and they said "Customer changed their mind". I never changed my mind, I only ordered because they said I could pick it up same day but that was not true

Knowledgeable and helpful sales people.
