Great well drink happy hour! Friendly bar tenders and the locals as well. Looking forward to trying their burger as it is rare to find an 8oz patty in Seattle, so fingers crossed we can get it med-rare.

Sonja's Bar and Grill delivers an elevated dive bar experience with a fantastic versatile back bar/event space offering breathtaking views of Elliott Bay. Enjoy comfortable seating and large windows in a setting that's simultaneously unpretentious and upscale. The staff is friendly, and the nightly menu boasts fantastic food, including the town's best-fried chicken sandwich! With a former Metropolitan Grill chef at the helm, the culinary excellence shines. Whether it's a first date, a post work drink, or a formal company event--Sonja's has you covered!

Nice bar with great food! The staff are friendly and helpful. The chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection and the curly fries made it perfect. The chicken wraps were crispy and delicious. End up ordering some hand cut fries and they were great as well.
There are a variety of drinks available and my favorite was a dirty gin martini. All the drinks were crafted beautifully.
I enjoyed this place. It's low key and had a friendly atmosphere downtown. I will be back!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 297270Oct 6, 2022
Dropped in here for a afternoon cocktail. Relaxed bar with a comfy back seating area overlooking the water.
It was a pretty quiet little retreat when we stepped in. Came back later for a late night snack. Pretty simple menu Just got some fries and a BLT but it hit the spot.

DANI was the best bartender ever and turned on the College football game for us!! She made the best drinks and also kicked it with us and sparked hilarious conversation! This place was awesome!!! Highly recommend!!!

I have never left a 1 star review in my life, but the experience I had at Sonya's was honestly so bad. I know downtown Seattle can be a frustrating place to be in the service industry with all the tourists, but I cannot believe how incredibly rude the bartender was. I am not of the opinion that all service industry folks need to be "on" and over the top all the time-and I've bartended and barista-ed for year, but I do think employees should treat customers with basic human decency, especially when the customers are in no way rude or even demanding!

Came in to meet a friend to watch the husky championship game. Was immediately kicked out because the bartender "had a bad feeling." Not sure what happened, but made me feel pretty bad.

Walking in after the Seahawks game looking for a night cap- Sonya's seemed like a good idea. Sadly the surly bartender made our one experience quite uncomfortable. Rude, curt and otherwise unpleasant.
Wish I would have gotten his name so no one else gets blamed for this crappy review.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
