Not worth renting car. Sable has indoor parking. The bus system is very good. Get the 24 hr pass for $5 and ride all day

Staying at the Sable Hotel on Navy Pier was a unique experience. It's named after a ship stationed at Navy Pier during WW2. The views of Chicago's skyline and Lake Michigan are some of the best in the city.

This spot is a little touristy for me so it might not be for everyone. Protip: stay between Nov and April to avoid the tourist tornado.

The hotel itself is lovely, paying homage to the area's history with its name and offering comfortable accommodations. It's definitely a prime spot for those looking to explore some of the city's attractions.

Omg! STAY HERE! Every room has gorgeous Lake Michigan views. Fantastic Offshore Rooftop bar with unbelievable ambiance and bar. The onsite restaurant is FANTASTIC. Navy Pier is just a fun and lively place to be, and The Sable is the only hotel on the pier. It's really an awesome place! Would definitely stay again.

My first experience of Sable at Navy Pier offers a positive and seamless from the start, with valet parking providing a convenient and pleasant entrance. The reception staff is commendable, offering good service and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the well-appointed seating area. The well-maintained lifts contribute to the overall satisfaction with the facilities. The room impresses with its views, featuring both the serene lake and the dynamic Chicago skyline. Additionally, the breakfast at Lirica meets expectations, providing a satisfying culinary experience. Overall, Sable at Navy Pier seems to deliver a well-rounded stay, combining attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and delightful dining options, making it a recommendable choice for visitors looking for a positive hotel experience in the heart of Chicago.

Overall, a great stay! The staff was lovely and attentive. The room was clean and well furnished and to add to it, we had a corner room so we got a fantastic view of the pier and loved it.
I usually dont like valet parking (i like getting things in and out of my car) but it really made sense to park while staying here and we enjoyed interacting with the valet staff, they were lovely!
My one criticism during the stay is the coffee in the room - it was an abomination of a coffee. Honestly not having this machine and the pods might have been a better position than trying to drink whatever that was.

Thank you so much to the men and women working at the Sable Hotel for making our stay so special and comfortable! We stayed here for our wedding, and everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had extra towels, cups for drinks, chairs, etc. when we were getting our make up done!

We had a very spacious room (1 King Bed) and a nice view overlooking the lake! It was a tight squeeze when my 5 bridesmaids and I were getting ready, but everyone seemed to enjoy the little lounge chair by the window, overlooking the lake.

The hotel room was clean. There's no pool, but there is a fitness center available for guests.

I appreciate the extra safety precaution where you need a hotel key to access the elevator to your room!

I'm typing this from the penthouse corner King facing the water (I'm so lucky ). So yeah, I'm pretty much in my zone.

I cannot say ENOUGH about The service I received from the sharply-dressed Dreion, and the Front desk manger Nicole have been top notch.

Admittedly, this experience was a 6/10 at best my first night. But Nicole, with her pleasant disposition and customer satisfaction centered attitude turned it around, and I am thrilled to report I am over the moon and extended my stay an extra two nights.

Earplug alert! The a/c unit is pretty loud, and the air blows directly onto your face. So if you love white noise, and a brisk breeze, this will work well for you. For those of us who prefer quiet sounds, and lighter air, just turn it off . The temp will be a pleasant 72 or so either way.

Each unit comes with a fridge, which is a nice touch, and some rooms (like mine), come with a microwave.

Every room faces Lake Michigan (score), so whichever room you land in will give you relaxing nautical vibes, fave thing about this property).

My second favorite thing about this hotel is the shower (you'll see). My third? The lotion. It isn't watery like most and actually hydrates brown skin for over 5 minutes! #winning

Heads up! Hilton Honors silver/gold/platinum members who book directly with the hotel get extra perks.

Amex members who book two consecutive or more also receive additional perks.

The view is fantastic. Customer support are excellent. The building is on the pier and you can use their outside walk way to go into the center. Very lovely walk to the park.

Note: the drop off point is inside a tunnel so you wont see the entrance on google map.

i would give the hotel itself a 5 star review, and the service a 3 star review, hence the 4 star overall.

this hotel is newly constructed in 2019 and has spectacular views of the chicago skyline in every room. it is in a great location on the pier and has so much to do just there. i highly recommend looking into the cruises that depart at the pier. the room was clean and looked very modern and was overall really comfy.

now the service. it all went downhill when we had requested to have housekeeping on the saturday of our stay TWICE, but they did not come. we went downstairs to ask for more towels and cups to refill our things. we weren't too bothered by that but we did keep that in mind. when we were walking along the bays on the last day, we noticed almost all rooms had a lounge in the alcove called the chaise lounge. we didn't have one so we figured that it might be a mistake so we went to speak with them. we had already checked out at this point.

the first lady at the front desk wasn't very helpful but grabbed her manager. the manager keep INSISTING that the chaise lounge was only for the rooms that were higher in cost. but i kept showing them the pictures and descriptions of the two queen bed rooms and they were listed there. he kept fighting back, basically telling me that i was wrong and that i just need to book the corner room. we weren't talking about the corner couch which is only in corner rooms, but the chaise lounge that should be in all.

after a little back and forth, another manager stepped in and told us that we were right and that our room was missing the lounge. he offered a complimentary upgrade for our next stay, but by that time, my parents were already pretty disappointed in the interaction we had with the other manager.

honestly, love the hotel but the service can be hit or miss. some of the staff are just amazing and professional while others feel like they need to be retrained

One thing about me: I'm going to seek out the Curio Collection hotels. They are superior in my opinion and Sable is no exception. Even in the winter months, this is a great place to stay in Chicago! Beautiful view, clean comfortable room, I felt very taken care of and safe. Not too far from the hustle and bustle of the tourist sites, but far enough out of the way that you get a nice respite. If you are ubering somewhere, I recommend walking to the start of the pier to save some extra dollars and time. The drive down the pier is understandably slow as it is filled with stop signs. Bundle up in the cold though, it's windy out there on the pier!

I would definitely stay here again. Love the added touch of being able to text questions to the staff. I was super pleased that I was able to check in at noon since my room was ready and check out isn't until noon, which is amazing for hotels these days. Getting a full 48 hours out of my stay definitely made me feel like I got my money's worth. I can only imagine how fun it is to stay here in the summer when the boats are cruising around.

16 floors up and an amazing view. This place is located in the most perfect part of the city and has such a super cool staff I couldn't resist giving a 5 star review. The restaurant, room service and amenities made every moment of the stay amazing!

Valet parking was included in the stay and I was even able to table home an oil diffuser as a souvenir.
