WOMEN WITH HAIR LOSS --- CAUTION!!!!  READ THIS BEFORE YOU VISIT THIS SALON!!!  In March of 2021 I met with Trish Strucke, the owner of this salon.  She convinced me to sign a contract worth a minimum of $16,200 for hair replacement services.  After she charged the initial $1,800 and shaved the top of my head and installed a hairpiece I learned from her staff that she was having terrible supply chain issues and in some cases it was taking up to ONE YEAR to get additional hairpieces.  These hairpieces they glue to your head are only supposed to last 3 to 4 months.  Trish kept assuring me they would get pieces for me.  They had ALREADY SHAVED THE TOP OF MY HEAD.  Read that again... seriously!!!!  The first piece did match my length and curl pattern.  Nettie and Jen did a great job dying the piece and my hair to match.  When it was time to get a second piece installed the piece they had was on a different base which would not stay glued to my head because the base was not porous.  When I washed my hair, the water and soap that got under the piece could not all get out which eroded the glue and tape and caused the piece to lift.  I drove all the way back to the salon at least 2 times to have it reapplied.  Trish's team knew this was a bad piece and they even told me it was not meant to be a piece glued to a head as it was cut from a wig.  Wigs are meant to be removed at night not glued to your scalp!  After 4 weeks they finally told me they had another piece for me.  Trish behaved as though she was doing me a huge favor "allowing the piece to be replaced early at no cost to me".  Really???  The story gets much worse... the new piece was not shown to me before it was washed and ready to be prepared for attachment to my head.  Someone said they weren't sure if this piece was long enough for me. The piece was glued to my head and my own hair was trimmed about an inch and a half even though they knew I wanted to grow my hair.  They dried my hair with a diffuser and I looked like a poodle when they were done.  I wasn't crazy about it but I thought it was just the way they dried it.  The next day I realized what a terrible problem I had.  The piece they glued to my head was 3 or 4 inches shorter than my hair!!!  The curl was significantly tighter than my natural wave.  It was terrible.   I am very capable and knowledgeable about how to work with my hair and hair pieces. There was absolutely no way I could make this piece work with my hair.  It looked so terrible. Like a cheap fake wig.  Somebody actually asked me if I was "unwell".  They thought I had cancer because I was wearing a wig!!!  And I had already spent well over $3,000 at this salon.  I learned the reason for these issues is a supply chain issue Trish has with her suppliers in China due to the pandemic.   She was having this problem since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 - fully ONE YEAR BEFORE I MET WITH HER AND SHE CONVINCED ME TO HAVE MY HEAD SHAVED AND SPEND OVER $3,000!!!!  So Trish knew she couldn't fulfill the contract I signed and she charged me for.  I had to find another salon and spend many thousands more to get this fixed.  I am currently disputing $2,700 worth of these charges.  I will continue to fight this and will continue to share my experience with everyone I know and in every online forum and on all websites I interact with so that every woman or man who has hair loss knows to stay far away from this salon until I get satisfaction.  Trish is taking advantage of people with hair loss and cancer when they are at their most vulnerable.  Her website says "Hair Replacement & Integration - A solution to full head thinning encountered by many men and women. These comfortable alternative hair systems will be virtually undetectable with minimal restrictions while providing a completely natural look and feel."  Completely untrue.  STAY AWAY!!!!

Can you see how curly the hair on the top 2/3rds of my head is? Would you even for a minute think that matched my hair??? Awful.

I've been coming here for a while now and I always have a great experience. For the stylists and treatment provided I say it's well worth the money.

I've been coming here for about two years. I came because Alyssa, who has been doing my hair previously at another location. I have been very pleased with both Alyssa and Richard Kroll total image.
Is been very accommodating and nice to me. And Richard: shelters also pleasant. I have not experienced any of the issues some of the other reviewer's mentioned.
I recommend both the studio and Alyssa.

I was sick and tired of the substandard services received from big box beauty salons, so I decided to splurge for the holidays and made an appointment at Richard Kroll Total Image. When making the appointment I told the receptionist that I was interested in going from light blonde to a natural light brown, but I had a decent amount of regrowth. She informed me that this would not be a problem and she would schedule extra time for a consultation.

When I arrived at the salon I was pleasantly greeted by the staff and introduced to Nicole, the stylist who would be doing my hair. I immediately told her that I was concerned about going from light to dark and would not mind making the transition over the course of several appointments. Nicole confidently told me that it was not difficult to do this and that she could accomplish the job in one visit. Everything was going fine at this point. The atmosphere was nice and the salon was clean. They offered me a glass of water and made small talk while I waited for the color to process, however, my experience took a drastic turn for the worse.

Nicole finished my hair cut and then asked another stylist to blow dry and style. When she was finished drying and styling my hair, I noticed that there were horizontal, multicolored stripes across both sides of my head. Furthermore, I noticed that the cut was uneven and poorly layered. At this point, two more stylist get involved and try to fix the cut. Finally, Nicole comes over and apologizes. She explained that she had another client come in for an up-doo. Nicole accessed my zebra stripped hair and told me that the color bled.

Finally the owner, Richard, got involved and tried to fix the so called "bleeding." Richard's attempt to fix the problem helped a little, but I was still left with zebra stripes across my head and a bad cut. Richard informed me that all of their services have a two week guarantee. He also said that he did not want to over process my hair and I should come back if the stripes did not wash out in a couple of days. I left the salon feeling bamboozled after paying two-hundred and fifty dollars for such terrible services.

As luck would have it, my zebra stripes did not wash out and I had to go back into the salon for a redo. Nicole assured me there would be no charge and explained how bad she felt for my experience. Interestingly, the redo went very well. Nicole did a great job fixing the color and even perfected the cut. I was feeling really good at this point. In fact, I was thinking about writing a great review about how Richard Kroll and his staff professional worked together as a team to solve problems, while maintaing a high level of client service.

Unfortunately, my perception instantly changed when Richard and his wife tried to charge me another fee after. Richard's wife explained that I was being charged a blow dry and styling fee, even though I was told to come in and have it fixed at no additional charge. At this point I decided to stand up for my self and put an end to Richard's unethical extortion. I firmly told Richard's wife that I would not be paying any
additional money for their mistakes and left the salon feeling puzzled over Richard's dishonest business practices. At a glance, Richard comes across as a savvy business man who understands the importance of customer centricity and a good reputation, however, trying to extort additional money from a client who already had a bad experience is not an ethical way to run a business. Moreover, I would not recommend Richard Kroll Total Image salon to anyone and would never go back.

I was in Allentown for my son's wedding. I asked for a recommendation for wedding make up and I was given this name. They were AMAZING!!!They made me look beautiful (and I'm almost 60)I had my hair blown out and my make up done and also some fake eyelashes too! They even let me get dressed in my gown there after everything was finished. It was very relaxing.

I was very happy with everything. My make up lasted all evening and the pictures look great!

      Updated review

I had gone to Richard Kroll for 6+ years and have recently changed salons in the past few months. I typically do not like to write reviews about businesses but I feel I should added to the previous post by Kelly A. I too had a similar experience. I was in to have my hair colored to hide all of the gray hair coming in at my roots. Being 25 and having gray hair isn't exactly something you want others noticing. After spending $140 ( with $20 tip) I noticed a few days later my gray hair could still be seen, pretty badly. Knowing that they have a "two week guarantee" I called in to have my hair fixed. I left a message with which ever receptionist at the time and they said they'd get back to me as to when they could schedule me to have my hair corrected. When Christine finally got back to me she told me that I would have to pay to have it corrected. After mentioning the "guarantee" she no longer wanted to speak with me to told me she would have my stylist call me back. To make an even longer story short, they corrected my color for free but wanted me to pay to have my hair blown out. So I decided to leave the salon with a wet head. It is just crazy to me that after the loyalty I showed this salon they couldn't take care of their long time client. Since I have left, I have found a new salon that has taken great care of me even only going there twice. I do not recommend going to Richard Kroll, spend your money else where. You'll probably save money as well.

I've been going to Richard Kroll Total Image for a little over a year. The only time I could get in for appointments is Saturday mornings. However a lot of the my job would call me in for Saturday hours and I would inevitably have to re-schedule my appointment. I would like to point out I ALWAYS gave over 24 hours notice each time I did. I had an appointment set for this morning and was informed by my job I would have the opportunity to work today I took it. That was on Thursday 7/3/14...needless to say with holiday activities I totally forgot to call and reschedule my appointment. When I called this morning I apologized profusely for the last minute cancellation and said I'd call back at a future date to re-schedule. This is when I was informed that because i had highlights scheduled to be done, before my next appointment I would have to put a deposit down before my next appointment to ensure that I would not cancel again within 24 hours. I told them therewas NO WAY I was going place a deposit down prior to my next appointment as there wouldn't be a next appointment as I would be finding another salon to do my hair in the future. I understand that they have to book out the stylist's time in order to fill their days but to tell a customer that they will need to put $$$$ prior to their next appointment is just bad and sloppy customer service.
