Honestly loved this place so much! Came here at around 3:30 for there lunch special that costs $15 for all you can eat. It ends at 4pm so we were cutting it close but they were super friendly and welcoming .
When it hit 4pm they began to clean up the buffet area and reminded us to get another plate if we'd like! Staff was so friendly and sweet . Honestly a really good lunch deal I was stuffed
As good the food, everything was delicious . Flavors were amazing and has a variety of different things from different kinds of vegetables , a salad selection , rice , and curries!
Ambiance - very homey feel to it , everything looked clean and welcomingHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 26, 2024
I've had two experiences with delivery from Namaste.
1. A couple years ago we had an outstanding order that was delicious and hot and exactly what I wanted when I ordered Indian food. I remember thinking to myself, "This is going to be our go-to Indian delivery from now on." Five stars. And then we went on an Indian food hiatus that I can't explain, but 100% blame on my wife.
2. Last week, that same wife decided she was craving Indian food because it smelled like Indian food in our hallway, and I remembered Namaste.
So we ordered a few staples like chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, and added on some gobhi manchurian and a tandoori chicken salad because I was feeling saucy.
The staples were all solid, although a bit under-seasoned and under-spiced (easily fixed because I keep salt and a large collection of hot sauce around). Manchurian cauliflower in the best of situations is crispy and for lack of a better comparison, tastes like General Tso's cauliflower. Unfortunately, this version tasted like old, hard cauliflower in a gloopy ketchup-like sauce. More egregious was the tandoor chicken salad, which I thought was a great deal at $8. Sadly, the chicken was nearly inedible. It was dry and unrecognizable as chicken. Three stars overall.
I'm going to hope that this was a one-off bad experience, and average the two experiences at four stars. Hopefully next time will be better.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Marco L.Brooklyn, NY2591Dec 24, 2023
Excellent food with service to match.
The buffet offers a good variety and the menu is expensive with many great options.
I'll be back.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mary S.San Francisco, CA04May 19, 2024
I've been dining here for years and have never been disappointed. I just had Chana Masala, Shrimp Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, along with their breads Aloo Paratha and Poori. Everything listed was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff is always friendly,
courteous and most importantly, efficient. I recommend very highly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Manuel G.CA, CA0203May 9, 2024
Mango Lassi insanely good! Must try! It comes in a smallish sized glass so it's like a small treat when you need a quick victory sweet! The place is clean and the orange lighting is balanced perfectly to create a moody atmosphere!

Staff is super nice and friendly. Came here on a Friday at 5 for dinner - food came quick. Butter chicken and their garlic naan is a must here! Chicken Samosa was ok here, wouldn't get it again. Fair prices for neighborhood!

Thank you so much for amazing review Payel. Please comeback soon !
Jan 31, 2023Previous reviewThis days I feel like GOOGLE is my best friend. So my birthday is coming up & this year I have decided to actually celebrate it from my heart. First time for everything
I was in queens when I googled it to see if there any halal place which is cozy and not too big & crowded. This small cute place came to my screen I wanted to come & see.
I lovee to try different foods but not a big eater. So I ordered chicken lolypop, fried cauliflower , goat curry & naan. All of it was actually preety good, lovee the cauliflower and the different taste of the lolypop was refreshing!
Considering the taste of the food, I can live with the price. Hope the rest of the menu are great as well.
The restaurant is very clean & unique You gotta come to see. The restroom is pretty big & clean. Thank god for that.
Stuff were very nice & well informed! They know their food .
I am giving 5 star because all together this halal restaurant definitely deserves it - Apr 3, 2023
I visited Namaste on Sunday before a Nets game and I'm not disappointed.
It's a good few blocks from the arena, so don't get too tempted on your walk because there is sooo much to eat on 5th Ave alone. If you did get distracted and eat somewhere else, that's ok. Namaste is a good place to eat and move on.
The resturant itself is clean and cozy enough. Staff is friendly and attentive. We arrived around noon, we're immediately seated and offered the buffet or a menu to choose from. They weren't rushing us at all, but they weren't busy either.
We went with the buffet cause it looked clean and had everything we wanted and gave us the opportunity to try some new stuff.
Naan was extra and worth it, the Chicken Tikka Masala was ok (If you order it from the menu, you can apparently order white or dark meat directly for an extra dollar, wish I did that cause the white meat gets a little dry.)
The chili chicken was the only thing they had spice to it. , Veggies where kinda delicious.
Absolutely nothing negative about this place, a solid 3.5 (so giving them a 4) and a good lunch stop.
I'm not unhappy that I ate here, can't say I would return because there are so many other options.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Feb 25, 2023
On a search for Indian food and saw this spot in Park Slope offers daily all you can eat lunch buffets (hard to find in this economical climate). Buffet is from 11am-4pm and $16 per person. Came here on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't busy at all -- only one other person dining but 3 more tables came after us.
It's self serve and food is inside buffet style trays and kept warm with sternos. However, I felt like the sternos didn't keep the food hot enough. I like my food hot, not warm, so a star off for that. All dishes are labeled. There were lots of vegetarian options and chicken for protein, such as chicken tikka masala, daals, chana saag, variety of sauces, and salad. I wish there were more protein options -- it was only chicken. I have been to Indian buffets where they have chicken, lamb and fish options. Rice is also unlimited and kept warm in the cooker.
We were asked if we want naan but didn't realized it's not included with the lunch buffet. It's $4.50 for garlic naan but it's made to order and came fresh and hot.
The servers were very attentive and were constantly refilling our water.
Overall, it was so good to enjoy a variety of Indian staple dishes with the lunch buffet. The price is unbeatable but I do wish they have better options. I have better Indian lunch buffets where they serve a better variety than this spot for comparable price but overall, this place is a steal. Try it out.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
