I booked a massage here after seeing less than stellar reviews since I was desperate for a last minute massage, and every spa in town was booked. I am happy to report that I was more than pleasantly surprised! It was one of the best massages I've had, and an add on of "dry brush" for exfoliation and increasing lymphatic flow (yes, I'm cynical too) was incredibly relaxing. I definitely spent more money than I planned, but the quality of the services -- including really kind staff and a spectacular masseuse, named Jennifer-- was worth the treat. My only complaint is that the dressing room and showers are far too small, the products were seemingly low end, and they only had one hairdryer and tiny combs. It didn't go with the opulence of the rest of the experience.

The spa itself is absolutely gorgeous, but the customer service really sold us on the experience. We were warmly welcomed in by Hayden, who offered us a complimentary beverage while we waited for our couples massage. Our therapists James and Lucky were wonderful! Cannot recommend them enough! This was easily the best part of our visit, and is likely to become a traditional spa vacation we do every year now. Thank you guys so much for taking care of us!

This beautiful Spa is located in Hotel California. Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly gentleman by the name of Jorge. I really enjoyed the Spas Eucalyptus steam room and the delicious teas. Best of all, I loved my custom facial with Adelia. I will definitely be back to this Spa, it was cozy, clean and had excellent customer service. Thank you for making my vacation extra relaxing!

I'm giving this a 2 star for the pretty tiles and the massage therapists sweet demeanor.

However, I would not recommend spending nearly $300 dollars for a sub par massage. I went with my mom and sister to celebrate a birthday, excited for the whole hype of Hotel Californian to be pretty let down.

As a former aesthetician who has been in the spa industry the customer service from the front staff fell short. As we were their first clients for the day the women's locker room was not even stocked up. No hand towels to dry hands, no big towels to dry off after shower, no body soap in the shower. Before receiving our massage we were excited to use the steam room. Come to find out it's broken and as I informed the front desk, they seemed to completely care less. No apologie , simply replied with "thank for you letting me know" they truly didn't care if their paying customers were happy or not.

This spa was located inside the hotel California. It was enjoyable and the staff was amazing. My wife and I got couples massages, but our massages were done in different rooms. The only place where we could hang out and relax together before and after our appointments was in the waiting area which wasn't as relaxing as some places we have been. The had steam rooms located in both the men's and woman's locker rooms, and that was the only additional amenity they offer with your service. They have tea, fruit, and nuts while you wait. My wife forgot her curling iron and they let her take one back up to our room which she said was a life savor.

Glad we did it but probably would not recommend for the price.

I'm going to start with the reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1, but I'm rather disappointed. The place was beautiful, everyone was super friendly and the environment was extremely relaxing. With that being said, never in my life would I image a simple pedicure costing 108 dollars!! The nail tech did a sugar scrub and about 5 minute massage on each foot/leg. I wasn't there for more than 40 minutes. Not to mention the flip flops broke on me 3 steps out of the front door as I was trying to walk to my car so I ended up having to walk barefoot down Main Street. Ew. The lights also flickered bright to dim to bright randomly and the chairs weren't great either. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I could have had a full massage almost any other place for the price of getting my toes painted.

This is a beautiful spa. The decor is breathtaking. The treatments offered are very unique and customized. They only use tthe highest quality organic products. I highly recommend visiting this spa whenever you are in Santa Barbara. Amazing facials and massages.

Paid $580 for a 60 min couples massage and 30 min pre soak tub in the couples room with a $78 bottle of Prosecco. Was told when booking we could order food and champagne. I asked the gal upon check in about ordering champagne (she never said a price and I didn't Ask, my mistake) and what they would serve in the couples room. She said fruit, nuts, dried fruit and chocolates. She offered a menu to order from but I said that was fine. I ordered the Prosecco which she said was cheaper than the champagne (and same price as rose). She left to get that started while we waited in the lounge. A different gal (one of the massage therapists) came to get us From the lounge almost immediately and I said we were waiting for champagne and she said that was ok, they would just knock. She brought us into the room and the couples "tub" (which i paid $40 to presoak) was smaller than my tub at home for me and my husband. And my Prosecco wasn't there, just some nuts and chocolate. So he soaked while I waited 15 min. And then all that came was Prosecco from the massage therapist. So I had to go back out to the front desk to ask for the fresh and dried fruit and they acted liked we didn't just have this conversation in the locker room. I get my "trail mix" and fold myself into a pretzel for my "pre soak". They mentioned when they knocked we would get 5 min to get out of tub and on to our massage tables. We got about 2 min, so they had to come back. I booked deep tissue massages for the both of us (which they had to make calls to therapists to make sure they could accommodate) and we both had to tell them more pressure. Massage was ok, we were greeted with water at the end and we used the locker room and steam rooms. I sat in the lounge for 10 min waiting for my husband till I saw the gal that checked me in come out of the men's locker room and realized he must be outside. Sure enough he paid and checked out, telling them to let me know so I didn't wait in the lounge and she said nothing. Awesome. Turned out the Prosecco was $78 and they automatically added the tip (bullshit). I've paid less at a ritz Carlton with better service and nicer amenities.

For starters I will say the massages themselves have been great! I have had 2 and both were fantastic. However, everything else pertaining to and around these massages is why I give only 3 stars. For a spa that charges so much for their services, everything about the experience should be buttoned up and perfect, and it's not. For starters it's very hard to get someone on the phone there, sometimes you have to call a few times or leave a message. While the steam room is nice, the spa changing area is extremely small and only has one shower, again this is crazy when you think about what all comes with a $228 60 minute massage. Watch out they don't disclose that the $190 price does not include a service fee and the 20% tip, you just find this out at the end when they charge you. They have tea and water in the waiting room, but both times I have been the "snacks" have been gone or nearly empty, its just some dried fruit and chocolates but still. Water was running low as well. The first time I went I added a magnesium soak pre massage and when I was brought back into the room the tub was empty, so I basically just stood there while my time was eaten up waiting for the tub to refill - time and money wasted because my experience was cut short. The second time I went I asked to book with Brenda, however upon arrival I had Adriana. Both great massages but its things like this that should not happen at a "5 star" expensive spa. Lastly, both times I went they could not run my gift card. I had a large sum on it and was eating away it via different services but it seems like know one at the front desk knows how to apply the gift card. It was a debacle each time which ended up in my credit card being charged, me having to try to get someone on the phone about it and just over all annoyance. I have been to many great spas, all over the country and world and Majorelle is seriously lacking in terms of the over all experience. There are better options in SB, and for less money. The best part about this place is the decor and actual massage therapist, which are just being brought down by terrible administrative staff and the over looking fine details.
