Can't find their hibachi options on their menu, does anyone know if they offer lobster?

Q:
Anyone who has been to Benihana, would this place compare as far as the hibachi meals? Thanks!
A:
Not like Benihana at all. No hibachi with flaming onion volcanoes. Really good sushi.

This is the same place as Aka Habachi. Same location, same servers, same chefs...different owners from my understanding.
Every time we come to Corpus from San Antonio, we must stop here for lunch or dinner. The food is savory and filling, and I am so very glad they did not close!
The chicken and steak are my favorite things on this menu. See pics for the whole menu. The menu has not changed much with the change. The salad is my favorite side. The ginger garlic dressing is savory and the most taste bud popping item on the menu to me.
I do not personally eat sushi. However, my children and husband do, and they love it when we come here.
My favorite Chef is Johnny Walker. He is fabulous! He takes the extra mile to make the food amazing, and he is very entertaining. The steaks are always cooked to specific twmps and have the most fabulous taste you do not even need the yum yum sauce provided to dip them in! I end up pouring the sauce on my fried rice.
When told of an allergy to shrimp, Johnny made sure to cook it away from the rest of my meal. He is a rock star!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 14, 2023
This place had excellent service. I was promptly greeted and seated even though the place was full. I was excited to see Hamachi Kama on the menu, which are fish cheeks. I was so happy that I scarfed those down. My chef's sushi plate came with a variety of nigiri and a roll of my choice. The ambiance is pretty relaxed with a small, nice water feature inside. Overall, it's a great deal with pretty good food.

We came here on our vacation, and planned on coming to this restaurant since before we got into town. Needless to say, we were very excited. We were greeted with great service that made us feel right at home. We were checked up on a lot, our drinks never empty, and they were so helpful about any questions we had. We ordered the Bulgogi and the Salmon Teriyaki. Both were so juicy and flavorful. The vegetables and fried rice are perfectly cooked to perfection. Johnny our hibachi cook was so kind and kept us giggling the whole time. There was quite a bit of a wait time, but the delicious food really did make up for it.

My family has had a LOT of hibachi in our time from all over the country, but we have never had any so bad as this. Had the pan fried gyoza and that was the best thing, except it came with what I believe was Tabasco sauce as the dip. Also had garlic edamame and I don't know how you mess that up but the garlic was STUCK on and you couldn't help but get it stuck in your teeth. Ok. We each had the Miso Soup. It was, literally, consommé. Like straight up out of the can consommé. The people at the table across from us were drinking it but we knew better. Gross. That's an ingredient, not a dish.
Son and I had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. We keep looking at each other while we watched the shrimp die a slow, painful death. Meanwhile, husband had the chicken and steak and the steak was rare. Go figure. The chicken...just quite inedible it was so over cooked. The rice had a strange hint of something chemically I couldn't put my finger on. First and last time there unfortunately. The chef was nice enough and tried to put on somewhat of a show for our grandson but it too was just meh.
I am something of a self proclaimed food critic and I know I am harsh but, my son also couldn't believe just how bad it was. Such a shame this town has no good hibachi.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Severo G.Central City, Corpus Christi, TX061Jan 12, 2024

I came here with my family for an omakase reservation. We got full faster than we wanted because the chef kept handing us plate after plate of fresh sushi and delicious small plates. I would recommend coming at a less busy time, so you get the great experience of having the chef's full attention. Food and service are some of the best in Corpus!

So I frequent the area on business and I am very picky when it comes to eating sushi. This place has done well for me. The quality of the sushi is very good and the service has always been on point. Before I leave a review I like to make sure I try a place at least 3-5 times to make sure there's consistency. The picture you see is (2) Tuna Nigiri (2) Salmon Nigiri and the Texas Thunder Roll.....sushi

We came to Corpus Christi for vacay and wanted a good place to eat that would make all 7 of us happy... this was it! Service was pleasant and Johnnie Walker was amazing! Even after a long day, he was more than happy to take a quick pick with the boys! Thank you all for the memories!

I eat here more than I should , a few times a month, but it's so good! I've had sushi literally everywhere in town and I keep coming back here for a reason. The service is always so friendly. From the time I walk in to out, smiling faces. The sushi chefs too. They always greet me and thank me for coming. Drinks refilled promptly. Food on the table in a sushi timely manner. Hibachi chefs I've had have been awesome. And it's super affordable! Last week I ordered 7 rolls for takeout for my family and it was less than a hundo before taxes. Word to the wise, careful with the super spicy rolls. I LOVE spicy food, so much I probably don't have a stomach lining anymore, and even I have to pace myself with those rolls. But that's to be expected from an item with 4 peppers next to its name.

The service here is incredible. The servers are personable and professional. Lauren was super diligent about refilling our drinks, asking if we needed anything else & made thoughtful recommendations when we asked. She was super pleasant! The chefs greeted us and all of their regulars when they/we walked in. The food is exceptional. Their spicy edamame was the best I've had, my fiancé agreed. The sushi was incredible & consistent and their prices are really fair. The chefs and various wait staff all said goodbye to us and thanked us for coming. Their service really stood out to us, especially in comparison to other restaurants we've been to here. We'll definitely be back! This will be a regular spot for us. This place is very exceptional!
