Im not sure if I've ever been to this place to sit and eat. I've taken food to go from the habatchi grill.
My friend and I ordered sushi and hot food. I didn't want to over do it and opted for something light.
I ordered the clear soup and a roll of shrimp tempura.
A ordered a side of lo mein noodles and the Jimmy hot roll. She asked for eel sauce on the side.
No drink specials. We ordered wine instead $7-8.
Food was fast and fresh. Server was kind. Christmas decorations made the location comfortable and Merry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 17, 2023Updated review
I've visited Kaika several times since my first visit. The hibachi is always delicious. They've since made changes to their menu. One being the option of soup or salad. They used to offer soup and salad during lunch or dinner. They also took scallops off the lunch menu. I used to order shrimp and scallops or scallops and steak for lunch. Now that option is only available for dinner.
My most recent visit was for my sister's birthday dinner. They allowed us to bring in balloons and gifts. The hibachi area is dimly lit and the tables have warm light. I ordered scallops and steak. Everything was delicious. I love their noodles. I didn't take pictures of the food on this occasionHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 19, 2022Previous reviewThis was our first visit and they did not disappoint. The food and service was great. My server was Jonathan and Hibachi Chef was Jason. They both did an excellent job. I had the scallop and steak lunch combo and an order of shumai. Everything was delicious.

This is such a good spot in a fun location with tons nearby! There are a bunch of restaurants to choose from but we were craving some hibachi. We opted to sit at the table by the bar vs at a hibachi table but it was still fun to see the chefs cooking it up to the groups at hibachi. The food was sooooo good!! The noodles & yum yum sauce are always my favorite. Our waitress was really on top of things always refilling our drinks and checking in on our table. I will definitely be back! Will need to try their sushi next time when I'm not pregnant!

We stopped in here because my cousin swears by this place. It's right around the corner from the museum. It wasn't busy when we came in but, it did take a while for a server to come. We did sit at the bar so I ended up ordering the Lady blossom. It's kinda like a lemon drop but with lavender and I must say the lavender is a nice touch. It's a decent size place with a handful of hibachi tables. I only ended up ordering some sushi rolls because we had just ate a few hrs before coming. So the one I got was the Jimmy buffet. It was a good roll it came with smoked salmon, cream cheese, krab, and I added asparagus. They don't offer any real crab I wish they did because I would have substituted the imitation stuff out. I would love to try the hibachi so I would stop in again.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Kaika. It was lunchtime, we were hungry and we wanted Teppanyaki. I'm so glad we found this restaurant on YELP. The photos had me sold. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Steak, chicken, vegetables, fried rice, soup and salad were superb. The chef had a great sense of humor and a great seasoning hand, garlic and all. We arrived early, had the opportunity to enjoy our own personal chef. Intimate ambiance while we were there... great place to visit. Full bar, with a creative bartender and nice drink menu. I'm going, going, back, back, to Kaika.

The food was delicious. Each one of my friends order different items. The drinks were amazing. The Mojitos are made with fresh, mint and margaritas are tasty as well. try the crab meat,rangoon's/wontons. They are very delicious but pretty pricey for 6 small folds.I wish the portion size of the wontons was much larger. That shrimp sauce was good. Soy sauce was not so tasty so I plan to bring my own when I return. I will definitely be returning.

Teppanyaki for Friday night date night, yes please! Hubby and I arrived after 7 and only waited about 15 minutes for a group large enough for a table.
Once seated, we ordered some krab rangoons since we were starving. These were delicious! Fried well, creamy inside, not heavy on the krab. The sweet & sour dipping sauce was very good. The ginger salad was refreshing. I also really enjoyed the clear onion soup.
For our main course, we both ordered the filet mignon. I love when a place gives you rice and noodles instead of making you choose. The fried rice was simple and very tasty but my favorite were the noodles! Our steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Of course, the ginger sauce compliments the steak very well. And you can't forget about the veggies! There's just something about teppanyaki veggies - grilled, flavorful, garlicky. Especially dipped in the yum yum sauce.
Our chef was great! Funny and talented. He did an awesome job of entertaining everyone.
Great meal and entertainment at Kaika Teppanyaki.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Apr 19, 2022
Great sushi spot in riverside area. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings. Service was super fast for us even though we had a large party and sat outside in the patio. Parking was a challenge because it was a Friday evening but that was expected.
I had the dragon roll, tasted amazing, small portion though, definitely not enough for one person as a entree.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2022
This used to be one of my favorite places to come and get hibachi and sushi. The last couple times, I've been disappointed. With the current climate were in , everything is more expensive...but this place literally took that and ran with it. And to top it off..the quality of food isn't the same as it used to be.
3 premium sushi rolls gonna cost you anywhere between $43-$56. That's not even including the $28- $31 you're gonna spend on hibachi... $17 if you want veggie hibachi.
The drinks from the bar... watered down. Hmm, what makes you think that? I'm glad you asked. Whiskey and ginger is the one drink that I get 100% of the time I go out and there's whiskey available. I even overheard another patron at the bar say "this Jameson doesn't taste like the Jameson I have at home"
The customer service was indeed decent. For the day that we went; there were 2 servers working in the hibachi area. For the guy to be tending to the many families that made up the 6 full hibachi stations...he did well.
I won't say I'll never be back...but I'd definitely consider other options and maybe even going without before i return.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Jun 25, 2023
Over the river and through the woods to Riverside we go. Our stop was at Kaika restaurant or some hibachi grilling and my dynamite role. This is much different than the hibachi grill in the town center. No reservation needed and seating was right way. The waitress and hibachi chef were amazing! My first time tasting sake. The soup was divine. Can someone say family outing. Kaiku has it all. For a nice time and a chance to visit Riverside and all it has to offer come to Kaiku and then walk it off at the near by park.
