i have shopped at Jackson's Greenhouse for years. Yearly I purchased the 4-step Ferti-Lomé lawn treatment. I am a Garden Member which gets me a 10% discount on all my purchases. Yesterday I was in to pickup grass seed and a starter fertilizer. I forgot to tell them I was a Garden Club member so I didn't get my discount which would have been a $23 savings. I called back when I realized I didn't get the discount and was told it was too late and it's my responsibility to let them know I am a club member. I called today and talked to their manager and I didn't make any headway with her either. The new owners do not work well with their customers. I feel they could have offered me a credit towards my next purchase in November. I had just spent nearly $400 in the store in a week. There is a greenhouse just down the road that will get my business.

Incredibly knowledgeable staff and they clearly care so much about plants. I love their selection and usually spend about an hour or two just looking at the variety. They even offer a re-potting service. My neighbor brought in his aloe plant here that was getting so big and we were so happy with the results. They really took their time to make it right. I have purchased many lovely plants and have been pleased with what I have in my garden.

Many very run down diseased unhealthy plants that have been there for a long time and way overpriced, you can find the same thing in better condition for half the price sometimes at Lowes or Home depot. I go in and browse but rarely buy anything.

I've shopped Jackson's a lot and they are super friendly and helpful. The garden show this year was different. I picked five small 1" pot cacti from an a large tray full of all 1" pots in various types as they were marked 1.99 very clearly on the tray. When I went to pay he said those are 5.99. I pointed out the entire try was marked 1.99. Plus the 5.99 ones were in larger pots and marked 5.99. He said no those are also 5.99. I walked out without any cacti. He didn't apologize or even make any attempt to make it right by removing the sticker.

Never had a bad experience here. You can tell everyone there is passionate about what they do, and all the staff are extremely knowledgeable and polite. A little pricier than places like Lowe's or Home Depot, but has a really good selection of plants/ products.

I've only been here a few times to buy plants for my wife. Jill takes her time to find the right plant and planter for your needs. I couldn't be happier with the customer service provided!

My wife and I dropped by here today, and there was a friendly young lady behind the counter who was very helpful. We had seen something about praying mantis eggs on WIBW TV, so we wanted to give it a try on our patio. My wife is having a great time locating our purchase in the right position on our patio. We are keeping our fingers crossed....for fun times ahead !

My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to lift our spirits and shop for some flora...we had thought we might go to Skinner's Garden Center but instead opted to try Jacksons.

I am GLAD we did! We pulled into the parking lot and we were greeted by cart loads of pansies, onions, baby lettuce...it was looking good already!

We went inside and were transported to a mecca of garden ornaments and doo dads! My dear friend came along with us as well and she was delighted at the selection they had! Handblown glass gazing balls, fountains, darling ornaments, and wonderful wrought iron hose gaurds! The front of the shop is CHOCK full! There is so much to see to see, and the variety and quality of their wares are remarkable!

We strolled back into the greenhouse itself and WOW. Just an FYI it is mid March (the ides to be exact) and at this time of year greenhouses are pretty bare....but not Jackson's! They had wonderful tanks full of koi arranged by size, and isle after isle of cactus, and tropicals...exotic houseplants...herbs.

They also have growing systems and planters that are so unusual you will not see them anywhere else.

The otherside of the green house seems to be devoted to annuals and vegetables, which are already sprouted and waiting to go outside when the time is right!

OH....and do not forget to say hi to Frank the cat. He is black and white....chubby and a lovely friendly boy who will follow you wherever you go. I gave him some cat mint from one of the tables..shhhh do not tell!

If you are feeling the winter ho hums...I advise you to get a dose of spring time. It reminds you that spring is just around the corner and the folks at Jacksons know how to present all the possibilities!

Jackson's Greenhouse has been around for a long, long time. Its your standard garden store, selling garden supplies, bedding plants, perennials, trees, and garden plants. Prices on plants are consistent with what other places charge. Tree prices and accessories tend to be higher. I mainly go here to get seeds in Feb and plants in May. Their plants are good quality and are grown in the greenhouse. Main plants I get are the peppers, which I have a hard time starting. For seeds, the prices are about the same, but they carry varieties of tomatoes which other places don't seem to carry. Useful for the dedicated tomato gardener.

Overall, a good place to get extra plants for the extra room I occasionally have after planting all my starters.
