They are closed this place no more Illy coffee at this place guys it was good place waiting for new owners

Was excited to try this spot out since if opened up!

The menu has something for everyone! Everything we had tasted amazing and I loved the presentation of all the plates. I had the lamb special and the meat was soft and fell off the bone.

There was also live music playing on a Friday night which was a fun addition to the night. Happy to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood

Food decent but as mentioned by most, service not inviting AT ALL.

I was in the area and wanted a quick bite. Decided to try them out as the establishment looked inviting.

I ordered hot chocolate and hummus to start. Asked the waiter to give me a few minutes to decide on my main.Went to the washroom and returned. My hot chocolate was served in a drinking glass with a straw. I found that perturbed but drank it anyway. Few minutes after, hummus and pita was delivered. Tasted good. Few minutes, a lady who wasn't my waiter, placed the bill on the table.
Who said I was finish ordering?
My waiter observed my demeanor and came over and asked if I needed something else. Yes. I'd like the grilled Branzino filet. Oh can you bring water, thanks.

I mean o had to ask for water. No checkin to see how things were. Lunch ran me about $60. Inflation? Idk. I will not return based on service alone. They need some training.

Food was good, service was not.

Had the avocado benedict and added lox. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the salad was great, and the roasted potatoes were good too. Also had a side of sweet potato fries which were my favorite part of the meal. The lobster benedict was not good. The lobster didn't taste fresh. Canned perhaps? Unsure. I didn't taste the crepes but I tried the jam it came with and it was super sweet, I liked it but it could be too sweet to some.

They brought food before drinks. I asked for an unsweetened iced tea. They brought sweetened hibiscus iced tea. I sent it back and they brought unsweetened hibiscus iced tea. I didn't argue it, it was actually good.

Very expensive for brunch. They automatically include gratuity as well.

I usually don't write bad reviews but this one is really worth writing so other people are aware.

They just recently opened and although I understand that they are still trying to figure it out - I'm shocked how bad the customer service is.

When I ordered Açaí ball - the server said "don't order that, it's to difficult for the cook to make it now". I couldn't believe my ears. She kept going "Don't you see how busy we are now?! It's better you order eggs - you won't be waiting for an hour to get your food. The cook will Kill me if you order açaí bawl. "
Seriously?! Please pinch me.

All food came out separately. I got my coffee after my meal. The server said "sorry I we have only one coffee person". Pinch me twice.

The cherry on top of the pie was when we got the check.. All items that we ordered had different prices from the menu we were given originally. I was shocked. When I asked for a menu - I saw completely different prices.

I asked to speak to the manager. Female server again said "the manager went for a walk". I was like whaaaaaat? For a walk? In the middle of busy Sunday brunch. In another 10-15 minutes manager still was not found.

The server came back and said "we charge %4 extra if you're paying with credit card". Can this get any worse?! I then asked "why did you give me the check with %4 extra if you don't know how I was paying". I couldn't believe this is happening, i swear.

The server finished this conversation with the words "this is the old menu. Our computer makes mistakes all The time and no one ever complained"

The table next to us was also very mad. We felt scammed. And even worse - not one person apologized for this inconvenience. Manager still was no where to be found.

Horrible.

Never order in this place! Came for an order pick up. According to Yelp Order was ready at 10:14 am. I came at 10:30 am. Lady in the front asked to wait 2 minutes. At 10:55 am, they told me that they don't have my order. I lost 30 minutes of working time waiting, and they didn't even process a refund!
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!

The Food:
The food was good. We ordered an avocado salad and a Bronzino fish. It took forever to bring the fish, about 1 hour. The food is fresh and the service was also good, but super slow.

The atmosphere:
The manager of the restaurant makes his presence known by personally telling you to have a pleasant appetite and discuss various personal business issues with his colleagues. For some people it could be a good thing, for us it was unnecessary. One would never experience that type of behavior in American restaurants where the owner is not present and the manager is only seen if there might be a problem to solve.
It almost made us feel like we were in his house which affected our feeling of privacy.
However, despite these minor things, we would recommend this place in terms of food and ambiance and this is why we gave it 4 stars.

Perfect local place for breakfast as well as for dinner.

Let me start off by great food and fair prices. The owner Oleg is amazing. A true gentleman and accommodating most needs. Very pleasant. That's where the good ends

The management is awful and rude. Many times simple mistakes are made on orders without apology. Also the wait time is too long for what it is. Sometimes you're waiting almost 30 minutes for brunch when it's not even busy

Lastly and more importantly they are always out of coffee. Regular brewed coffee is not existent. They never want to make more. Americano is not coffee. It's espresso. Can't be an illy brand and not offer coffee. Imagine going to Starbucks and then not having coffee.

I don't know why this cafe has such an unfairly low rating. I've been here 3 times now and have never been disappointed. Delicious food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend this cafe for spiritual gatherings with friends and family.
