I have been going to this nail salon for the past 2 years and it's never disappointed me!!! This salon is one of the best salon that I have ever been to. The best customer service. Everyone here makes you feel like home AND they are very professional!! Especially, Anna or Anh!! She always knows what I want. She pays attention on details on my manicure and pedicure. She also follows all the new trend of nail polishes so she can give me good advice on what color would look good on my nails! My nails always look AMAZING!!!!
ALSO, easy to park and they accept debit, credit and cash!!!
What are you waiting for? This is the place I would recommend to everyone and of course, this would be a place that I'll go for the new following YEARS!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2014
We had an large group (20) and I was worried about finding a place that would be able to accommodate us all. Hoa was the second place that I contacted, the first salon just kept repeating "No" to me no matter what alternatives I offered up. Hoa on the other hand stated right away that they could help make this work for and and even close down the salon for us, and no deposit required! We had the entire front two rooms of the salon all to ourselves and they even chilled our wine for us. They run a smooth operation with extremely friendly customer service. It was very refreshing!
Thanks for helping us make this day fun, relaxing and enjoyable. It was a great way to welcome our new sister-in-law, her family and her friends.
We also went to a great French bisto right across the street that was amazing as well.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 23, 2012Updated review
I came back here on a whim one weekend afternoon because my "go to shop" was all booked up!
I'm glad I had the opportunity to have another experience at Hoa. Despite the bustling inside, I was quickly greeted and taken back to another hidden area of this old quaint house... viola!... a whole private room equipped with a few more pedi chairs with a private bath! How fun, hmmmm.... a great private spot to have a party with your friends =D
The hostess or receptionist greeted me kindly, offered me a beverage, and checked in one me during my session. Really felt like a hostess more than a receptionist. I like that kind of service!
A plus, 15% off of my service due to the Asian Lunar New Year special!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jun 1, 2009Previous reviewI found the eyebrow waxing a pleasant experience (as pleasant as waxing can be!). The staff were very attentive, and the atmosphere was clean and cute. Usually I go on a late wkend so parking is easily found in the neighboorhood.

They give an extremely long leg/foot massage during your pedicure... that alone earns Hoa Salon 5 stars!
It doesn't hurt that they are clean, easy to park at, and they take reservations and credit cards. The staff here are always professional (they won't be gabbing with each other in a foreign language the whole time they are doing your nails) and friendly. They also offer a wide selection of colours as well as Shellac (the special polish that won't chip for 2 weeks).
Come to Hoa! You will not be disappointed.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Me H.Seattle, WA1319251017Jan 26, 2008
I really hate to review this place but it's for selfish reasons, I don't want others to invade it and make it impossible for me to get my toes done.
Hoa Salon provides great nail services. It's a cute little salon in Madison Park that gives pretty pedicures at inexpensive prices. A full spa pedicure in a massaging spa chair with a calf massage is only $30. And the chairs are awesome the first one ever that massaged my ass, yes I said ass, at first it was a little odd feeling but after a few circles around it no longer felt odd, not only do you get a back and neck massage in their chairs but you get a nice butt rub too. Oh and how could I forget about the hot towels they used on me after my calf massage, such a wonderful thing.
Everyone who work here is super sweet and nice and the hot tea they serve is delicious with hits of ginger which helps in the relaxing process of getting the pedicure. So if you're ever looking for a good but inexpensive pedicure go to Hoa!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 23, 2009
I love their pedicures and have been going for a couple of years thanks to a Seattle magazine article that had rated their salon as best for inexpensive spa pedicures.
I've never been disappointed! My dry heels are always silky smooth after the pedicure, the atmosphere is spa like with it's wooden floors and light interior, the service is good, and the price is affordable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Menina Do R.Seattle, WA010Apr 3, 2017
This is a wonderful place! If I could choose a single word to describe them, I would choose Professionalism.
They are very understanding of change in schedule and they do anything to make us feel special and relaxed. Even thought I get my nails done, every week, I feel like going to get my nails done is the highlight of my week.
Thanks for your services !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Myra O.Seattle, WA9162Sep 8, 2015
I've worked for 5 yrs at a 5-star salon and spa so I feel like I notice certain things that your average goer wouldn't. Actually, i think anyone would notice. Where do i begin... When i first got to the salon, the place does look a bit run down, like it was the "it" place at one time and I could smell something that i believe was coming from the bathroom? The front desk gal was very nice and did greet us. My cousin booked the spa room for our party and there was probably 10 of us. We were very grateful that we were allowed to bring some drinks and wine. That part really was wonderful. :) Now, the spa party room is a bit small and got crowded quick, and there isn't enough seats for half the party to sit and wait while the other half is getting their services done first. When one of our member was done with her pedi, she got up from the massage chairs to walk over to another area for her nails... I couldn't help but notice that you had to be very careful not to accidentally bump into someone painting nails.
Again, the receptionist was very nice and went around the room to see what everybody wanted to get and she passed the word to the nail technicians (there seemed to be a bit of a language barrier). She came by TWICE and i told her what i wanted. Anyway, long story short. My nail technician apparently didn't get the memo, even after i told her the very very first time i met her, what i wanted. She thought i wanted my finger nails pink and my toe nails white (was supposed to be gel french tip). She swear I didn't tell her, but i'm pretty sure i did. I didn't' want to argue with her further so I just thanked her for what she's done so far. A member of our party got french tips, but hers were white tips glued on and gel'ed over and another member had french tips as well, but gel only.. I'm still a little annoyed that i didn't get the french tips that i wanted and still cannot figure out what happened.... A member wanted a small nail design with a 'swirl' or 'flower' and her technician said they didn't do that.... (even though it's clearly stated on their menu). She's not requesting an airbrush design, just use a toothpick and make a flower type of design.
I paid for a gel "SPA" pedi and gel mani, when really the service that i actually got was a regular gel mani and gel pedi. I didn't quite get the spa part of the pedi. No callus scrub, no hot towels for calves, no massage. My technician did try to give me a back massage, but really it was a bit awkward and didn't feel that great. Just some karate chop movements... But kudos for trying. ^_^. Perhaps that was the "spa" to my pedicure that I was charged for. Looking over my nails, the quality of work is OK, but for the price i paid, i expected much better quality. (see picture). I'm not sure if there was too much going on that there was a miscommunication with some technicians or if there are new technicians. I also wanna add, thought i'm not a huge germophobe, i do fear getting infections. I would suggest this salon start using liners for their foot soaking tubs. Massage chairs were broken, didn't "massage". Maybe that's why i got the karate chops. haha... regardless of all this, my group and us had a really good time together. We just felt like we didn't get the quality service that we paid for... I didn't get exactly what i asked for, but i still tipped my nail tech because she still did provide a service to me. Btw, they don't give you the break down in pricing or receipt. So you should ask. I wanted to put in my email for a receipt but the receptionist tapped on the skip button before i could request. Great place if you just want your basic mani and pedi. For larger groups, or for mani/pedis on the "spa" side, mediocre 'massages' on the legs (according to some members in my group)--your experience might not be what it should be, expecially for these prices.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa H.Renton, WA719443Dec 11, 2015
I asked for stiletto (pointed, acrylic) and got oval with a slightly narrower tip. No matter how many times I'd say "pointier" she would just make them slightly less rounded. Went back a few months later for the nail tech to do a take-off and new nails. This time she made them so thin and fragile four of the nails cracked after a week. I went to a nail salon randomly in Lynnwood near my job to have the cracks fixed and she made them thin, flat, strong and super pointy like stilettos should be the first time I saw her. Won't be back to Hoa.
