Q:
Is there parking?
A:
there is paid street parking nearby as well as several parking garages. I suggest reserving a nearby garage spot through spothero if you are going during peak dining hours.

This place was amazing! Cute and quaint restaurant with very elevated decor. My friends got the vodka pizza and the classic pizza, and I got the Alfredo. Everything was delicious. We are still talking about how amazing the food is. Would highly recommend!

This place is so intimate and gives me beauty and the beast vibe. I love their candles! It was super packed, so make sure to do reservations beforehand. The bar outside and inside is first come
First serve.
The service was amazing. The waiters and host were always checking in on us. Filling our water. I recommend sitting at the bar because we got to see them make the pizza and everything in the kitchen. We got the drunken love pizza. It's was so good with the vodka combination and basil. It was recommended by hypefoodies! This is a great place for dates. Highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 17, 20241 check-in
I was torn between giving this place a 1 or 2 stars. Here's why I gave it two.
Ambiance: for a $100 dinner per person, I am expecting way more in ambiance. We wanted to be seated inside, and even made reservations in advance and were told there would be inside seating so we chose this place over another in DuPont. When we came we were sat at a high top on the patio. The weather was dreary it just finished raining and was in the 40s. I was not expecting to eat outside at a hightop that had hardly enough room for all our food. In fact they didn't. We had to combine plates for our appetizers. The seats were uncomfortable and the table was not level. Also, for a nighttime reservation where you seating people outside and the temperature is in the 40s you would expect them to have heat lamps. However, the inside looked like it was pretty. So solid two stars for what the inside appeared to look like.
Food: Honestly, it tasted like bad fast casual. The calamari was too salty and greasy, and tasted stale. The Burata, while tasty was served with soup drenched croutons, which just seemed cheap. The Cesar salad entrees were the size of a side salad, and were not as pictured. For a restaurant that is supposed to be more upscale, it was very disappointing. The pizza tasted like plastic and smelled strange too. It was like the pizza you would get in the school cafeteria in the 90s but with a 200% mark up. Also, all the dishes that we wanted to order that we saw on Yelp were no longer on the menu. Actually their menu for being multiple pages was severely lacking. The had no soup options for their dinner menu which was really odd and their meat dish options were lacking too.
Non-alcoholic Beverages: Their options were very limited. They served zero hot beverages, no coffee, no tea, no hot toddy's.
Cocktails: Ok their frozen cocktails were good, maybe not worth the price though.
Wine: Atrocious selection, and for $16-$20 per glass for a less than $20 bottle not ok. They label themselves as an Italian restaurant but their selection was below par wine, maybe a rating of 79 below? And their mark up was insane. Italy is known for their vineyards and selections of great reds, whites, and Prosecco's, it was just not it there.
My friend I went with was awesome, so I had a great time nonetheless, my other friend said she went the next day and her experience was better but that her experience the first time was also a one star 2 star at best.
The place is hit or miss I guess. Would only be willing to try again on a HEAVY DISCOUNT.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 5, 20241 check-in
Grazie Nonna!! thanks Grandma :)
The food is spectacular!! Everything tasted home made and fresh..down to the pickled artichokes and banana peppers.
We left feeling full and satisfied, but not uncomfortably stuffed...which I feel reflects on the quality of ingredients.
Seating can be a bit tight, and reservations are definitely a must, but the ambiance and service are top notch.
We were seated only when our entire party arrived, but then we had to wait an additional 30/40 mins to be served due to some staff confusion. The only reason I bring this up is because our server went above and beyond to make up for our delayed service, and we were given a complimentary nonna platter. Nice touch!
Also, there is hallway that leads to Grazie Millie (the speakeasy next door), so you do the have to walk outside.
Highly recommend!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - 18108243May 17, 2024
My second time here and it had not disappointed! Some of the best pizza I've had and that's saying a lot as I consider myself a pizza snob! Everything was delicious. The calamari was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My pizza was absolutely delectable! The lemicello was to DIE for! I can't wait for my next visit!

wow what a GEM!
in town for the police unity tour and quickly checked help to help me find somewhere great for us to eat and celebrate a little mother's day away from home.
the atmosphere in here is chic, i love the melted wax candles all over and chandeliers
the food selection is just enough i wish i took a picture of the il grecco salad but i ate it so fast! i'm still thinking about it!!
our server was knowledgeable although i couldn't hear him clearly when he said his name!! ugh, maybe Kevin? Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 173233646May 11, 20241 check-in
This was such a delicious experience! I highly recommend their vodka sauce, the pasta is delicious, and I love the unique shape, and the actual sauce was loved by everyone in our table. Our service was a little bit slow, but it was a busy night so it is possible they were overwhelmed. The actual restaurant was very cute, and everything was very aesthetically pleasing! I also loved that they had indoor and outdoor seating.

Overpriced and overrated. I'm not a fan of the inside of the restaurant. While it's somewhat spacious and has nice big windows, the location doesn't get a lot of natural light or have anything interesting to look at outside of these windows. Half of the bar is right in front of the pizza making station with flour everywhere. With that said, if you plan to come here, I recommend making a reservation in advanced.
The elderflower spritz was ok, but I wouldn't get it again. I prefer an Aperol spritz. The Vodka Sauce with Shrimp was good but not worth the price. There wasn't anything memorable about the dish and there were only 4 small pieces of shrimp in my pasta.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mar 27, 20241 check-in
Grazie Nonna is an intimate dining experience in Midtown to savor all of your Italian favorites!
The restaurant is gorgeous and decorated with ornate chandeliers, family photos, and candles at each table. I really loved being able to see the chefs crafting the pizzas and pastas right in front of us. The aroma of the dishes were divine and got me excited for the meal!
My friend and I got dinner on a cloudy, cold Tuesday evening in need of some tasty drinks to pair with our pasta.
I started off with an Aperol Spritz - a strong flavor of Aperol, more than I have had in the past. Regardless, the wine was smooth and the slightly bitter flavor accompanied by the ice was refreshing.
For my entree, I went with the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp. I really loved this dish! From the thick, fresh noodles to the garlicky sauce, the flavors of the dish were delicious and cheesy. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and paired exceptionally well with the pasta / spicy red peppers topped on the dish. Tasted so fresh and well-made - 10/10!
The place was packed, so be sure to make reservations ahead of time! The staff were very friendly and very accommodating with our seating on such a busy Tuesday evening.
So excited I finally got to try this popular DC spot! Excited to come back in the Spring/Summer. I would definitely recommend everyone pay Nonna a visit :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
