Booking too tight to be able to do activities. Not able to contact them by e-mail. They basicly take your money and wash their hands of their customers.

TLDR: yes, you get legitimate free gifts for attending, you sign a contract to get them, so if it's past 3 hours that you're at the presentation, you are entitled to leave. If you intend on purchasing, wait until the very end and state that you are interested and can't afford it until the very last part when the manager comes over to conclude the presentation. They will then offer the "employee discount," which can still be higher than your peers depending on who you're with. Wait it out until you see the lowest they offer. 1/3.2 people will make a purchase, even though virtually everyone attends with the intention of saying, "No," and getting the free stuff.

My review of their marketing practices:
Grandview works with a lot of vendors that work on the strip and bribe couples to attend a presentation. These vendors are located inside of casinos and along the sidewalk as you walk from casino to casino. The vendors are paid when you sign up to attend the presentation, and they honestly don't care if you buy the time share or not. Vendors will pretty much say anything to get you there, with the most common bribe an offer for discounted show tickets, gambling credits, food vouchers, and so on. Note: you must attend the time share presentation at Grandview to receive your "gifts."

As you sign up, you're required to initial things and disclose information such as your income, if you and your partner live together, etc. to ensure you're a viable candidate. You may even be required to put down a deposit. This is a contract. I put down $50 for two shows, two dinners, a ride on the high roller, $100 gaming credit at Casino Royale (on promotional machines that don't let you cash out unless you hit the jackpot), $25 to use at select Ceasar's Palace casinos, and 2 nights in a Ceasar's Palace hotel. Seemed like a good deal for a couple hours of your time, right?

The following morning, we were told to meet at Ceasar's Palace to get shuttled to the Grandview. We were promised breakfast, so we signed up for the 9:15 departure slot. When we arrived at the vendor's booth, they asked to see my credit card just to verify I had a method of payment in the event I wanted to make a purchase. I was told to just hold it up and cover my number. It was never taken from me, but I did have to show them my I.D.

We left around 9:30 and arrived at approximately 9:45 to the resort itself. Located miles up the strip in a seemingly desolate area was the Grandview. The parking lot was tightly packed. When we arrived, we were seated in a waiting area until our personal sales person came and fetched us at 10:00 a.m. This person is with you the whole time. The first 30 minutes, our rep lead us to our breakfast, which were small pastries. They will spend that time sitting with you trying to build rapport.

After the rapport building, they get started. The building you're in for the presentation is literally dedicated for sales. They will show you all of the resorts owned by RCI, and they will ask you rhetorical questions to get you saying, "Yes." For example, "Do you like vacations? Do you think quality time with your partner will make your relationship last longer?"

After the first floor introduction to RCI resorts, you'll walk by photos on the wall of Nevada attractions such as beaches and water parks. Then you take the escalator upstairs and you're on the floor you'll spend the majority of your time on. It's approximately 11:00 a.m. at this point- one hour in. The sales person will assure you they aren't doing hard sales and just want to show you how you could benefit from a time share. I can't remember what terminology our sales guy said, but he called it something like "vacation sharing."

There's more literature on the wall, a map to show all the resorts in the world, and you'll get more rhetorical questions such as, "Wouldn't you like to travel anywhere in the world and not waste your money on hotels?"

The whole time you're on this floor, you'll probably spend about an hour listening to them talk about whatever is on the wall and how Grandview is a gold crown and Vegas is a top destination. They try to create urgency by saying they will sell out soon and allude to a massive discount if we purchase today. Then they take you to a table and walk through more crap to try to show that you'll spend over $100k on hotels over the next 30 years.

After the painful presentation, you'll tour the property, see the pools, and interior of rooms. The last step is showing you the prices. They will start with showing you the price if you come back another day and then will pull out their price sheet. It's been over 3 hours at this point, and I have insisted we had a hard stop at 1. The sales person flat out disrespected my time. I later learned that I could have left since I only signed up for 2-3 hours, even though he told me that I needed to complete the whole presentation before receiving my gifts.

Poor experience (4.5 hours), sketchy practice

Scammers! I was walking to my rental and some sales person scammed me into checking out a timeshare. I was asked if I was legally single, was over 28 and for my income. I was told to mark the exact same things when filling out any information. I was promised 2 $100 gambling vouchers, 2 tickets to zumanity and refund of our $50 deposit. Sat through a 2 hour presentation, then was offer e a sales pitch. Was judged above and. Whine in my answers. It wasn't until the end when I happened to mentioned my boyfriend, who I live with, and hey automatically disqualified me for everything. What the fuck?!! You ask if I'm legally single. Yes I am. So why all of a sudden because I am living with someone who is not going to pay for this time abre and has no say on this I know get disqualified. Get the heck out. I will report you to the BBB for bait and switch practices. The manager Tracy, or whatever his name is is such a rude and condescending person who offered no assistance. I don't care if the marketing company who baits people didn't do their job correctly. YOU are supposed to do hour job and ask the right goddamn questions.
Good thing I didn't sign up for this bullshit timeshare.

They called to tell me that I did not win the car I had entered a contest for. Instead I won 3 free nights and days at the Luxor or Excalibur hotel. Course the catcher? I'd have to give them $124 on my credit card as a sign of good faith. No thanks.

Also I'd be required to do a tour of their resort, where they'd lure me into buying a time share. Me thinks not.

I'm kinda annoyed that me entering a contest to win a car at the Luxor meant that they would take my info and call and try to lure me into a time share. Its not a scam its just annoying. You have to say no. Repeatedly. Damn you Luxor! Damn you Cris Angel!

So this is a shout out to anyone looking to buy a timeshare.... DON'T!!!!!! I hate these people with a passion. You can't give no stars so one is generous.
Let's start with the fact that we bought one. I will say it paid for Hawaii. We only came out of pocket 199.00 for a week in a condo in the beach. That's all the nice that I can say. All of there sales people are liars. They promise things that aren't true and we got that from an exit interview. They constantly try to update you.
I have one leave me alone. Don't make me sit down for brunch with one of your sales people. And for real why we got to have a closer. Enough is enough. To add to the injury every time I call to book a room I'm told everything is booked.
Let's not even talk about the hotel exchange. Just tried to exchange points for a hotel. The hotel was a nightmare. I looked on line and it got a 2 star. If I could turn back the hands of time and not buy this I would . Caveat emptor.
      Let the buyer beware.
I hope this helps someone out there. Please read as many reviews as you can.

My GF and I were just at the Excalibur this past week. We had a 9am on Monday 12/28/2020 reservation for the tour. We arrive at the presentation for the tour and was told it starts at 1pm. We then get a call from the woman who booked the appt and said the time was changed. I was not happy and requested my deposit money back. The woman was rude and unprofessional. This company is a SCAM. They are LIARS and MISLEADING they will tell you anything to make the deal. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND TROUBLE AND DO NOT DO THE TOUR. Just tell them you are leaving town when they approach you.

The property looks amazing. The south pointe hotel across the street is enormous. HOWEVER!! They have you agree to this tour and presentation for "2-3 hours" when in all actuality we were there for 5 hours! The tour is actually 2 properties (they don't tell you that until you're already walking out the door to the second property and it was raining the day of our tour [4/30/16] so I wasn't pleased with the idea of the tour at all).

As soon as you think the tour is over they want to show you all this other stuff like the movie theater and bowling alley and "convenience store" and spa and barber shop blah blah blah. There were kids all over the place. Personally I go to Vegas for a vacation from my kids. Don't wanna be surrounded by hundreds of other people's kids.

I guess if you don't have plans for half of your day and want some free stuff, take the tour just be prepared to pitched on EVERYTHING.

This was probably the worst experience ever! We were given a free 3 night stay in the Luxor in exchange for attending a "2-3" hour time share presentation at Grandview Resort and it was NOT worth it. We were asked to be ready to go at 10am and we didn't finish with the presentation until 2! Our sales person Dave started out pretty friendly but because super rude and aggressive after we told him we weren't interested in the timeshare 10 times. He brought in his manager to try to sell it to us, and then after we told him no, we had to tell another 2 people no before we were able to go. Then, we waited another 40 mins for the shuttle to take us back to our hotel. I left in tears with the way i was treated. I will never do another time share presentation again!!

If I ever want to remember the feeling of how the devil almost got me, I think back about the time I attended this timeshare presentation.

I will not go into detail about my experience since it has already been spelt out by many of the negative reviews.

One thing I will say is, their sales rep kept saying '5 star accommodation.' Common, get a hold of yourselves, Grandview is really not that nice to begin with.
