Given the relatively early check out for the hotel, this was the perfect place for breakfast on our final day in Vegas, giving us an opportunity to take a little more time packing up and bidding the city farewell.
Unfortunately the food is uninspiring and the service a bit uneven. We stood in the doorway for a good three minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us and then we got to pick a place to sit, which was confusing; if we can seat ourselves, why is there a sign advising us to wait to be seated?
We went for breakfast and I had the french toast which looked far better than it tasted as it was nearly devoid of flavor. After having great meals at places like Grand Lux Cafe and Hash Hash, this was a bit of a sad final breakfast.
After the initial sluggishness, staff did rally in the second half of the visit and they weren't stingy with the coffee refills either, which I appreciated. Just a bummer that the food wasn't better tasting.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 20, 2023
This small restaurant/bar in on the grounds of the Holiday Inn Desert Club Resort. This is a resort hotel for members and guests in a gated community but I did verify with security that non-guests can enter the property to visit the restaurant. We were on the property as guests for four nights.
We dined in the restaurant for a late lunch as well as another evening for drinks and snacks. We carried out breakfast because it was easier to just carry it back to our room while still wearing jammies. Note that their breakfast menu is available till Noon.
The portions are more than generous. The Club Sandwich is huge. The Breakfast platters are enough for two people to fill up on. The Nachos. Oh, don't get me started on the Nachos. Just check my photos.
Ashley was our bartender/server and she was very nice. There are two or three screens on sports channels at the bar seating. Around 12 tables in the dining area which seemed to get full quickly in the standard breakfast and dinner hours but carryout is not a bad plan. They provide all the condiments, etc that you need!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 2023
So far we've dined here three times and the food and service has been great! Comfortable atmosphere and very convenient when you're vacationing on the property. Linguini with Meatballs, Fried Shrimp with cocktail sauce & fries, and the Steak & potatoes so delicious! We're definitely going to dinner again before we check out! Yes, I recommend dining at the Gold Mine Bar & Grill.

The Restaurant, the Bar, the Employees were top notch. Then comes some secret shopper, or maybe not even a secret shopper, and just a bored guest affiliate. Came reppin south Detroit corporate, asking to get her merlot shaken...to inspect cherry tomatoes, and the cleanliness of cups and such. Bragged about the riches, buzzed, etc, etc... killed the vibe. Less of that please.

Stay clear of thePhilly cheeseteak. Flavorless steakums on on crappy bun with a few peppers, didnt see onions. Plus half the size you would expect for the price. Prpbably one of . the worst cheesesteak I've ever head. CITY OF philadelphia should sue them to block them from calling it Philly.
Others had cranberry salad and omelettes were good.
Unless they are going to completely rehab their sandwich it should be removed from the menu. Or just post a picture and no one in their right mind would order it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bill C.Murrieta, CA251817Dec 5, 2023
Don't bother. 7-eleven has better food than this place. If you don't have anything in your vacation resort refrigerator, then I recommend going to the grocery store before eating here.

We were nervous about eating here after seeing reviews but we had a great experience. Our first night in town and we just needed some food before bed and were trapped with all the F1 construction. Gold Mine had totally decent foods at decent prices for in-house food in Las Vegas. It's not gourmet cooking but it's totally good food with BIG portions! Wouldn't have any issue recommending this to a family who just got into town or otherwise didn't want to get to the strip to eat.

Good Service the manager was great and the chef Darnell H. was very accommodating. I needed a vegan meal so he was able to make me a vegan philly sandwich with sautéed veggies, mushrooms, spinach, cabbage, peppers and onions.
