Not a big farmers market, but more than enough vendors for the size. It's open Sundays 10am to 2pm in Historical Downtown Garden Grove. Parking is easy, you can park on any of the intersecting streets or the nearby parking lot.
They have a little something for everyone's enjoyment, whether you like salty nuts, sweet sweet ripe berries or fresh flowers.
Some vendors sell hot Mexican foods, and sweet goodies.
The prices are decent, and sometimes they have face painting for the kiddos. Watch out for the clowns! Serious, watch out for them. I hate clowns!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Hana K.Goodyear, AZ117167103Dec 3, 2006First to Review
** Update 2/18/07: It's strawberry season!! Just bought 3 baskets of ripe strawberries for $8. Not very cheap but fresher than the stuff you get at the supermarket. ***
Open every Sunday 10am-2pm. Located on the Historic Main Street right across from the CostCo on Garden Grove Blvd. They have a free parking lot next to Main Street.
I've visited better farmers markets. This one is small with maybe a dozen or so vendors. Still it's nice to have a farmers market in the area. Today I bought some organic fuji apples, apple vinegar, persimmons, celery, and a bag of green beans. You can't beat the prices. Except for the overly ripe persimmons, everything was fresh and tasty.
Other vendors include those selling beef jerky, an assortment of nuts, flowers, and home-made hummus. I only saw one food vendor, and he was selling chile rellenos. There is also a booth that offers face-painting for the kids. I saw the two clowns in the distance, and they freaked me out at first. Beware if you have clown-phobia.
The highlight of the trip - kettle corn! Only $2 for a small bag. I love the smell of kettle corn on a sunday morning.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Elaina T.San Francisco, CA1421Oct 6, 2008
Super good food in every flavor and from every culture imaginable!
Who woulda known that there was such an eclectic little market hidden within the main streets of the Grove? This place has stands of food and little picnic tables under the night sky with awnings.
I loved the atmosphere of a night market filled with the pervasive aroma of different styles of fresh-cooked food! For dinner, I tried the Sushi-A-Go-Go which had your average good-tasting fresh-rolled sushi and Udon, while my friends tried the brazilian BBQ, which I hear is the best thing there! Well, their platter did look pretty yummalicious and generous...I'll be sure to try that next time!
Only few disappointing things: the closing time and price. I was so excited to stroll around after dinner to look at some of the unique shops like the sticker store and the fudge & toffee shop, but was so sadly greeted only with store blinds being pulled down by 9pm.
Also, the cost of food is way overpriced here. The cheapest ice cream we could find was $4.50 for a root beer float...forget the soda fountains which can run up to $7! But hey, I guess it's the Grove...what do you expect?
But overall, very unique and eclectic mix of foods that you'll never get tired of!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Yuki M.Irvine, CA14814458162Aug 3, 2008
Uhm....did I miss something here? Come in too early? Come in too late?
I went here today looking forward to spending a nice hour or so walking around, looking at fresh produce and trying random samples of coffee, fruits, nuts, and whatever else there was.
In and out in 15 minutes.
I bought a bag of toffee peanuts, toffee sunflower seeds, and wasabi peas.
One dude selling tamales.
One flower bucket guy.
Some old man too large to get out of his chair yelling at passer byers to look at his questionable wares.
Three produce stands.
Three fruit stands.
I was just about ready to cry thinking that I was expecting something interesting and then....
BAM!!
I'm scared. Hold me.
Clowns. Yeah, clowns. Two of 'em sitting, motionless, faces fully painted, the real faces bland and dismal.
I didn't know that they were there until I looked to my left and pissed myself.
Never again. *sniffle*Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Sandy T.Garden Grove, CA22642834Apr 27, 2008
Not a big farmer's market, only a couple of produce vendors. But the selection and prices are pretty good.
Two food vendors, fresh nuts, various fruits and veggies, flowers, plants and some random stuff available.
Tried some of the nuts - 3 bags for $5. Yummy variations. Also got a bunch of produce and tried the strawberries already - 3 pack for $5. Juicy and sweet.
All in all i spent under $20 for a bag full of stuff. Wish they had more to choose from in produce.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Evan M.Santa Ana, CA336May 9, 2013
This is a small farmer's market, every Sunday until about 2pm, i get fresh berries, kale and other veggies there every week, it is very much still open! not closed I have been there for the past few weeks! they need more vendors and people to stop buy, it could be really awesome if more people came by.

This is a small and eclectic mix of great produce with crafters. A good coffee house, café with great breakfast food, and Costco are all on the street or right across.
Don't miss it, the small town atmosphere is still alive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca L.Garden Grove, CA01Jan 21, 2007
Went to the Garden Grove Farmers Market today and was pleasantly surprised. I bought some flowers, asian pears, blood oranges, spinach, nutty bread, kettle corn, aromatherapy candles and strawberries. Yay! Strawberries! The best part was lunch. The southern bbq was tempting (they have three bbq vendors) but I decided to go with the strawberry tamales.
I live not too far from Main Street and have been going about once every two months since they opened. Attendance dropped off for awhile during the holidays but seems to be really picking up. They now have about thirty vendors with an expanded layout with a walk down the middle of the street. Before the vendors were in the middle of the street. Kind of inconvenient...
Oh they had music too which was a nice touch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra A.Irvine, CA177101385Mar 7, 2011
Actually, I think this place is open again. It has been revived earlier this year. I love the kettle corn popcorn, it's made fresh and the aroma of sweet smelling popcorn, ... you can't beat it. They have good food and vegetatbles on sale. Walking down this street with the farmer's market and the quaint Main street shops and diners reminds me of "Gilmore Girls" and their small town atmosphere.
