I needed a demand letter for an estate problem with a sibling. Attorney Dialessi-Lafley listened attentively, reflected back what I had told her to check for understanding, outlined a path forward, was very professional, accepting, and respectful. Worked like a charm and got the result I needed. Her legal staff, Jennifer and Felicia, were also exceptional. Best money I ever spent.

I consulted with her regarding a custody/jurisdiction case involving my daughter. She said she knew the attorneys involved and would be happy to help. The night before the hearing she sent a copy of her retainer agreement indicating that she was representing the other side. After having a detailed conversation with me about the case. She is a disgusting human being. Does not care about what's right.

The initial consultations with Attorney Dialessi-Lafley were encouraging. She seemed to have a clear understanding of the complicated and heartbreaking situation I was trying to navigate and what my disadvantages were and why I needed her help. She said she was sure my intentions were "pure" which they have been all along.
Suddenly, she exhibited an about-face, Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde response to my situation which involved financial, domestic, moral, and psychological abuses by a perpetrator with a long history of abuses. After acting upon her recommendations which ultimately backfired on me, she abruptly turned the tables on me and slammed the door in my face.
Though she first seemed efficient, understanding, and compassionate, the only reason I write this review is to spare others her ruthless hypocrisy. I feel that she acted not in my best interest, but in her own, ruthlessly exploiting not only my legal rights, but also the extremely vulnerable position she knew I was in.
Though I may be mistaken, given our broken judicial system, as to what the law encompasses, the violation of the clearly delineated legal rights of myself as her client, hardly seem like something an attorney should willfully throw under the bus, regardless of a client's financial circumstances and her own interests. Her closing argument was ruthless, cruel, and remarkably biased toward the perpetrator, not the victim of the perpetrations. Her abrupt response was shocking.
The issue, in a nutshell, is ethics, and most of all, TRUST. I learned the hard way that I could not trust Attorney Dialessi-Lafley. In my last conversation with her I felt as though somewhere along the line she had literally "sold out." She went from zero-to-sixty from someone who was initially understanding, compassionate, and encouraging to someone who turned into a cold, calculating, if not abusive shark.
Perhaps someday she will realize what the golden rule means. That is, to do unto others. My hope for her is that someday she finds herself exactly in the same shoes as mine.
May God bless her. To follow the advice of Jiminy Cricket, "Always let your conscience be your guide."Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
