I have lost faith in this company. While performing a Fall furnace check, I was told I needed a new part which would cost approx. $250. Technicians have always mentioned I would need a complete new system in the next 12-18 months, despite the fact my house is only 8 years old.
I mentioned the above to a friend who told me her SIL owned a HVAC company, and would I like a second opinion. He checked my furnace & told me the part I needed costs less than $20, and the rust damage they always mention is because a couple of screws on a pipe have never been tightened, causing moisture to in fact drip inside & cause rust!
He told me that Bryant and A+Derr technicians receive a commission on parts and new installs. I find this practice unethical and disgusting. I'm a 71 year old single woman on a fixed income and that $230 difference in price goes a long way toward my basic needs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christian G.Yucaipa, CA344Jun 6, 2023
Paid $6,000 for a brand new unit last year after ours went out. New unit wouldn't turn on today. Called Bryant and they said my warranty expired 5 days ago and I'll have to pay for any labor to find out what's wrong with it. So in short $6,000 gets you one summer of air conditioning if you're a Bryant customer apparently.
