Sooo freakin good. On my recent trip to Barcelona my best friend and I were really craving burgers so we randomly found this spot on a whim. Coming from California we assumed that we have had some pretty good burgers at home but we were mistaken. This place was better than any burger I have ever had in the United States period. You could taste the quality in the meat and it was cooked to perfection. The bun was great, the fries were great, even the ketchup tasted fantastic! This is absolutely a go to spot for a great lunch!

Great ingredients, definitely aome good healthy options here. I am a stake person and i shall say first time tried veggie burger at this place and i was not disappointed. Lentil patties were super tasty. Yes, patties in plural i end up with two of them. my girlfriend says beef burger is equally tasty. I like my beef by itself so i went with veggie option in case you wondered like she did. Lol. Totally recommend this place even after covid changes.

After reading the reviews we were excited & looking forward to having some excellent burgers.... very little flavor for me...
The patties are not cooked very much, so be mindful when ordering.
Great location & easy to get to.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 351325858463Dec 13, 2019
Yummm yumm yummm!!!! I was in Barcelona on my sisters birthday, she'd seen all of the tapas I'd been eating on ig stories and was wondering why I hadn't gone to eat at her one recommendation yet ;) Bacoa burger! I was trying to pace the eating situation but knew I needed to get here. I decided I'd better find out where the nearest location was and to my surprise, literally right around the corner from where I was staying. I quickly changed out of my robe, grabbed a quick shower and at 11p walked around the corner to try this joint. It was my sisters birthday back at home in the states and I ordered a Vegan burger in her honor. I'm fairly certain that's the single handed reason she'd find herself in any burger joint in any country on earth so I steered clear of any animal products and let me tell you... Bacoas vegan burger is SOOOOO good!!! It was probably one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had, and I adore vegan food. I had a side of the potatoes and those were good but I didn't get too far with them, you'll understand why when you see the size of the burgers. I should have only had half but it was so good I couldn't stop myself from eating each quarter piece I had sliced it into. The two side sauces are good too. The homemade ketchup is slightly watery but the hot sauce provides that nice kick that a girl that loves spice can really get behind, combine the two and you have a solid little dipping action going down.
You fill out your own order form at the front counter then proceed to the cashier. Menus may be found in English and their bottled water is very nicely priced, I ordered two bottles.
Service was fine enough. Seating was nice, you bus your own table upon finishing but all in all this place was WAY solid. I'd definitely eat here again and while I was trying to find every famous solid tapas bar in town my little birthday girl sister really knew where the vegan scene was solid at.
Good stuff! They also have a veggie option and of course meat, if that's your thing.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jul 29, 2018
By our third day in Barcelona we were ready for something besides Tapas (they were awesome but change is good you know...). We were having seafood overload so it was time for some beef.
Our search ended at Bacoa. Besides the reviews we were sold on the similarities (seasoned fresh ground beef, extensive toppings, etc) to the best burger joints back home.
The World Cup game was on at the time and we ended up getting takeaway but would have been fine eating there as the restaurant had a great atmosphere.
You can build your own burger or choose one of their compilations. We ordered the Manchega (semi-cured cheese and 5 hour caramelized onions-added bacon), Australiana (Grilled Beetroot, cheddar & Bacon& BBQ sauce), & La Bacoa (Bacon, Cheddar & Cheese).
We went with the Galician Beef which was excellent! The seasoning was perfect with a char grilled taste and they cook it a perfect medium. Perfect bun/beef ratio.
Also ordered the Bacoa French Fries and Rusticas (thicker potatoes). I would recommend the Rusticas.
They also have Chicken and Vegan options. Overall, Bacoa surpassed our expectations & I don't know if it's the best Burger in Barcelona but it is one of the best & tastiest burgers we've had!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We all wish to see you again in Bacoa as soon as possible! :) - Mauro M.Monterey Park, CA89117150Feb 2, 2019
If its your first time in Europe (like it was for me) you're going to realize they also have a lot of burger joints. Mickey Ds, the BK, etc. With that being said, I tried out Bacoa late at night and it was a great choice. Plenty of space for big groups or good for two. They have normal seating and stool seating with high tables. Nice interior decor as well-cinderblock walls hanging lights.
They have plenty of choices for burgers, different sauces for your patats (french fries) and some decent beers. They have a lime flavored ale which I'd recommend-it was on tap. I ithink in total for two beers, an order of fries, a sauce and two burgers... we probably spent around 30 euros? Overall, it wasn't expensive and a pretty cool spot to grab a burger and a beer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We hope you come back again soon! - Sara G.Barcelona, Spain8730104Dec 17, 2018
I was so impressed with the system they have for you to order a hamburguer! First of all, you pick one of the hamburguers given to you and write on a paper the hamburguer (I picked the "Manchega" one), the ingredients you want to take out and the ones you want to add to it, you can also pick from three different types of buns and then they serve it to you! Very cool, props for that.
The service was really nice and quick, and the restaurant is very modern and very nicely decorated!
Would I repeat?: YES!! YES YESS! Those fries were so yummy, I swear!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

I was totally floored by Bacoa's burger. I generally have lower expectations for a chain, but Bacoa blew them away.
When you enter this place, you grab a tiny pencil and a checklist. Use it to construct your personal burger masterpiece. Hand it to the cashier, then take your light-up coaster thing to a table. When your burger is ready, it is delivered to you.
I went with La Bacoa (8.50 €) - bacon, cheddar, manchego cheese, pickles and mustard. Because I glossed over the fact that it came with bacon, I selected extra bacon for 1.20 € more. Since I love bacon, this was merely a bonus.
The burger was incredible. Huge and packed with flavor. I loved it.
I subtract one star because my patatas rústicas were very dry. They tasted like potatoes that had been cooked two days before and were reheated. Considering how amazing the burger was, that was shocking.
If you're looking to slay your appetite, Bacoa is a great option, especially when you've grown tired of tapas.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Ben,
As I told you on TripAdvisor, thank you so much for your comments, which we take very seriously and help us to improve our services.
We are really happy to hear that you loved your burger so much, we do indeed put a lot of effort into them! As for the patatas rústicas, we are so sorry to hear that you were not convinced by their quality, since precisely the quality of our ingredients is our highest priority. We cut them by hand every day and never get frozen. Anyway, I would like you to know that I have shared your feedback with my kitchen colleagues in order to get to the bottom of the matter.
Thank you again, we hope to welcome you back soon :)
