It's always difficult rating an entire company based on your experience with just one advisor. In the financial industry, it seems that a few rotten apples can spoil the whole bunch.
My experience with my AXA Advisor has always been great! Very friendly and professional.
Anyone should consider doing business with this great team.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jack C.San Francisco, CA169May 9, 2012
The sales rep for my "product" was fired almost before the ink was dry.
The "fees" were about twice my earnings, so I lost $11,000.00 in 2 years.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Abby S.Pacifica, CA06Mar 19, 2013
This company wasted my time and the financial adviser that we used was THE MOST unprofessional person and company I have every dealt with in any financial transaction. Just to let you knwo that I am in the financial industry (loan acquisitions and investment for over 10 years) so I have some idea on how this stuff should play out as well as customer service in the investment arena.
The long and the short of it is that the adviser (that wore open-toe beach sandals and what appeared to be a hippie sun-dress to our serious financial meeting) came to my wife's job and spoke to the employees about retirement planning. We have been wanting to set something up so we thought it was a good time to do so (as far as an Roth IRA or self-directed 401k for our personal finances). We went on to the next step which was setting up a meeting to move forward with the execution of our retirement plan, so the following week we went into AXA's Battery St office in San Francisco and after 4.5 hours of a very slow moving process, we got our IRA set up.
It became very clear to me very fast, that this adviser had NO idea what she was doing nor did she even try to hide it well. I really knew our meeting took a left turn when; instead of getting up and walking to the fax machine to make copies of the docs we were working on, she YELLED very loudly across the entire office to get the attention of the secretary yo make copies, only to find out that the copy machine was LITERALLY 5 feet away from the room we were working in... I could not believe it. I should have walked out right then and there but we put so much time into this meeting thus far, that I simply decide to stay and brush it off as "not a big deal - it was probably nothing" - I WAS WRONG!
About 7 days later I received a letter in the mail stating the IRA was not set up because the adviser did not process our request fast enough (based on new regulations with the Fed). About a day later we received a check in the mail for the amount the amount that we put into the IRA (less $500). I attempted to call the office (12 times) and on the 13th time, someone finally answered the phone and I was told (after being on hold for 7 minutes) that some may or may not call me back today to explain what happened. I then call the adviser's cell phone only to get a jumbled excuse on what she thought happened. I finally decided that I want my money back and I want NOTHING to do with AXA, so I went to the ATM to deposit the check and I was informed by the bank that AXA put a stop on the check. So now - no money and no sound explanation of what happened! I AM LIVID! I am still waiting for someone to call me back to this day. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS "SO CALLED" FINANCIAL COMPANY! I know now that this is my fault as I should never give my money to anyone claiming to be an adviser that wears open-toe beach sandals to a serious financial meeting about our family's future.
I would rather have root canal work done on all of my teeth, while watching a corporate tax audit in a foreign language on television.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Devan R.Danville, CA3846Dec 22, 2009First to Review
