Scam artists!! Total wast of time and money.

I posted an add on craigslist to sell my car and then I got a call from Auto Marketing Systems saying they will help me sell my car by sending buyers to me directly and advertising my car on multiple websites. For that I had to choose one of the 2 plans: 1) $150.00 - non-refundable and 2) $249.00 - ($29.00 processing fee, $230 refundable) I chose plan 2 because it was refundable if they did not sell my car within 90 days or if I sold my car on my own or decided not to sell my car at all at a later date.

They did not sell my car after the 90 day period so I filed the appropriate paperwork to get my money back and then called a few days later to make sure they received it, which they did. I have been waiting for 3 months now for my refund and still have not received it. I have called at least 15 times in the last three months and have spoken to Kelly the last 3. She tells me they are behind on refunds and that I was moved up to priority status. Still no refund. We'll see if I actually get my money back.

Do not use this company. It's not worth the headache!!!

This company is a hokes. Don't fall for the scam.
I didn't get one call from any potential buyers, I didn't see my car advertised anywhere. WASTE OF TIME, WASTE OF MONEY! they trick you through your craigslist post. They find you that way. Avoid all phone calls from auto marketing system. their website is www.AMSvehicleSsales.com

Never think of this company. Its a waste of time, money and lot of headache.

I posted an add in craigslist for selling my car, on April 10, 2012. Then I got a call form AMS company saying they will help me to sell my car by sending buyers to me directly. For that I had to choose one of the 2 plans: 1) $150.00 - non-refundable and 2) $249.00 - ($29.00 processing fee, $230 refundable) I choosed plan 2 as it is refundable if they can not sell my car within 90 days or if I sell my car on my own or if decided not sell my car later.

I waited for 2 weeks and I didn't get any calls from them or none called me for buying car with their reference. Then I started searching about this company online and found lot of negative reviews about this company. So I decided not sell my car and cancel my plan with them.

For my refund I had to get my cancellation form notarized and send it to them. after doing this I called them for my refund status. surprisingly I was told that they can not process my refund until 90 days of registration completes. SO I waited till August 2, 2012 and called them again for refund. At this time there was another surprise, they told me that they received everything they need to refund my money, but it will take another 6 to 8 weeks to refund the money. Then I waited 6-8 weeks and still no money was refunded. I waited till March 2013, I did not get my money. Then I called them in the begining of this month April 2013. From then another headache started.

When I called them first time in this month April 2013, I was told they will move my file to higher management for refund submission and get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. I did not get any return call so I called them back after 2 days. Again I was told the same thing "they moved my file to higher management, they will get back to me within 24 hrs this time". Again waited for another 2 days, still no call from them and I had to call them back again to listen the same sentences from them. This repeated for about 10 times. I called them back to back, about 10 times this month alone. And Finally, today 03/27/2013 exactly after 1 year of my registration and after following up them continuously for about 10 times they refunded my money $220 after cutting $29.00 for processing fee.

Shortly after posting an add on Craig's list, I got a call from this company telling me that they had all kinds of clients looking for a car just like mine. I went with their 'money back guaranteed plan' of $249. Unfortunately, after 4 weeks I received ZERO calls, not one call. So I reduced the asking price by about 25% and still NO calls, not one! I then lowered the asking price a second time and again, NOT one phone call. It was a total joke and I wonder if they even listed my car. My 90 day period ended mid July and I still do not have my refund of $220.....just a bunch on new excuses. This company is a scam. Do not spend one penny with them as it is a total waste of time and money. Anything would be better than 'listing' with these folks.

I had same experience, this is a scam based on a ligit business to keep it somewhat legal. They call people who advertise their personal vehicle online and promise quick sale. In fact they just want you to pay the 249 and are banking on you not remembering to apply for your refund 3 months later. You have a one week window to send your "notorized" request in!. In fact thay lied to me; they said I could get my refund if I sold my truck on my own. After 6 weeks of not a single call from Auto Marketing Systems I sold my truck to find out that they needed me to wait another 6 weeks and then after I followed all the fileing instructions, to wait another 2 months for my refund! This is a scam! Stay away.

note that i didn't give them any stars!

warning! do not list your vehicle for sale with this company. they do not advertise it at all and when you sell it on your own, even when you follow their refund policy to the letter, they will not refund what is due you. it is a total scam.....buyer beware!!

Do not use this company! Total scam. I posted a motorcycle on craigslist and got a call shortly after from Auto Marketing Systems saying they had buyers for my motorcycle. I signed up for the money back guarantee of $249. After a year I still haven't received my money back after many attempts.

Total SCAM!!! Paid the extra to get a refund if they did not sell my car. They did not sell my car. Sent them all the required paperwork for my refund at the 90 day period back in July 2013. When I did not receive the refund, I called in Aug 2013. The confirmed that they did receive the correct paperwork but having tech problems with the refund department which should be corrected in approx. 2 weeks. After 3 weeks still no refund. Called again. Was told the refund is being processed and should have it in 2 weeks. No refund. Called again. Was told the refund was processed and I will have it by the beginning of November. No refund! Called again approx the 2nd week of November. Was told they could not process the refund since they did not have my new expiration date of my credit card which did change until the beginning of November. Gave them the new expiration date and was told they could now process my refund. December comes, still no refund. Tried to call 20 Dec. 2013 to get a recording of office hours and to leave a message for an associate please enter the extension. As far as I know they have no valid extensions. Tried all different #'s so the system just says "I can not recognize your extension # - good bye" So now can not even talk to anyone. The # on the website is 866-326-0949 is bogus. When I call it does not ring but kicks back to a dial tone.
I do not believe they even listed my car. Was told they had 3 people interested when they first contacted me. After I paid the money, no clients contacted me.
Auto Marketing Systems has no physical address. I am one of many who was scammed by this company.

      First to Review

This business is a marketing firm that promises to sell your vehicle for a fee. If you list your car for sale on Craigslist or Autotrader, a very nice, professional sounding person will contact you insisting they can do the work of weeding potential buyers for your car, sending them your information and will tell you that they have a huge amount of buyers interested in your car. All these claims are FALSE. I paid them $149. for the service and not one person has contacted me in over one month of my vehicle being in their database. Do not fall for their empty promises, this company is a total scam. I wish I had done my homework before signing up, but I was desperate to get rid of my car, so I can get a family friendly vehicle for my new baby. After I realized I made a mistake paying AMS, I researched them and found many complaints with the BBB and tons of postings about this fraudulent business. I am posting this so that hopefully no one else will fall for their pitch. I am amazed how they are in business, I thought it was illegal to rip off the public, but I must be wrong. BEWARE of AMS. They are CROOKS!
