This restaurant is owned by the most recognized Peruvian chef at this time: Gastón Acurio. It is a great place to experience Peruvian food with a creative gourmet touch. He uses all of the traditional Peruvian ingredients, but in very interesting combinations, with outstanding results. He also serves traditional Peruvian dishes like lomo saltado. The restaurant is elegant, great place to take clients or go with a date. Service is excellent, and they make a very nice Pisco Sour, in addition to a large variety of other cocktails. Highly recommended.

)this is a Peruvian restaurant. Liked it :) it's fresh, nice, and modern. I think we went early because there were not too many tables. We sat on the second floor on a more open space. It's a nice restaurant located in Polanco which is a nice neighborhood. Service was attentive.
The food is super fresh! We had their ceviche. Delicious! It's different from the local ceviche. I ordered tuna with sweet potato. It was nicely plated and tasty :) Panacota was OK.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 7449902773Jul 18, 2014
We loved this place. Great ambience - warm, open and trendy at the same time. Beautiful fireplace at the end of the patio, where there is a glass door separating the patio and dining room. If I were you, I would choose the bigger dining room over the smaller one (the small one was a bit too closed-in for my taste). here are the download on food + drink.
pisco sour - the best pisco sour I have ever had, quite possibly the best cocktail I have ever had in my life. must have!
ceviche 5 elementos - traditional peruvian ceviche. Great balance of flavors, not too acidic like the version that you get in the US.
anticucho de pulpo nikkei - octopus dish. fantastic
lomo de huachinango -- seared red snapper with shanghai bokchoy with soy sauce-based seasoning. After several mexican meals in a row, I was craving for something lighter and flavorful. this was perfect. Great quality fish.
ensalada del huerto - OK salad, can skip
Also the white wine by the glass, aliwen sauvignon blanc copa from chile, was great.
We left with full stomach with $50/head. fantastic deal!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marcela R.Milan, Italy82104481Jun 24, 2016
In town for several business meetings, one of my choices for a group dinner was Astrid & Gastón. Communication previously to dinner was easy, precise and fast. In just few e-mails, I was able to choose a menu and several details. It had to be pay it in advance, only beverages to be decide and paid during dinner.
There was 32 of us and they managed to keep up with a high quality service. They followed all my directions and only the previously agreed beverages served.
I was simple to check the bill at the end of the night.
The entrance is discrete and if you don't know where are you going you'll probably miss it. The restaurant has a fancy atmosphere - a small bar at the entrance and several tables, candle lights, low music. Observation: they have a screen at the bar and it was handy for those trying watch the match (Copa America semi-final).
Talking about the food. Ah, the food! The only way I can find to describe is food orgasm.
My selection for the night was "Antiucho de Pulpo" and "Chaufa de Mariscos". It was cooked to its perfection! Desert was a selection for Peruvian deserts but honestly, I did not like it - but all my colleagues loved it.
They have a good selection of wines and drinks. My Pisco Sour was very well done.
I have to say: I am deeply in love with Astrid & Gastón.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dan S.Brea, CA256497Mar 23, 2015
Ambiance was great as was the service. The food was a bit a let down compared to the one in Lima. The crispy hibiscus leaves in the sweet potato and potato causa kinda ruined the dish but it sounded like a great idea. Pisco sour was on point but more like ones from chile not Peru.
Lomo saltado was cooked perfect and was the star of an otherwise average experienceHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Roy H.Orlando, FL0827Apr 3, 2018
We were at the restaurant for a very special occasion so we decided to try the 16 course tasting menu. It was a very fulfilling experience. A great variety of seafood, different flavors and presentations. The menu is very extensive, so go hungry and with spare time, as it takes about 3 (or more) hours to finish the whole experience. Be ready to pay a good amount of soles, but definitely worth it! A must try when in Lima! Go for it...

This Peruvian restaurant is outstanding. It is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. The cocktail menu is based on pisco, and very interesting. We started with some ceviche and some potato dish I forgot the name, but it was outstanding. I have to say that the ceviche was out of this world. For the main course we tried the seared ahi tuna, salmon, and the rice dish. All dishes were outstanding. Also, the service was very attentive, they definitely went out of their way to accommodate my wife's gluten allergy. Overall, our experience was incredible.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Mexico City! I had the ceviche con tamarind y leche which was exquisite. I was envious of my colleagues prawn starter though. I had the duck risotto with potato cake and would have to say it was the best dish out of my colleagues. The Duck was cooked to perfection covered with amazing plum sauce. We had a fantastic time!

I am sorry to say that this awesome restaurant has dropped in their quality of food. It is obvious that they over use the citrus to hide the poor quality of their fish.
The service is impeccable the kitchen is a bit slow but the ambiance makes up for it. Their wine selection by the glass is limited to 2 options and when I was there they only had one.
This restaurant was one of my go to places when I was tired and hungry for a good healthy food. Maybe the construction really punished them so I will give them another try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
