Excellent food. Been coming here for years. Parking can be difficult sometimes when it's though because many people like eating here

I used to eat in the past, but today was the last time I eat there. I never received my food after 45 minutes with no notice. Just one cook and three other people just standing around. And they even had the audacity to ask about my order 30 minutes and didn't have a single follow up.

Awesome Cuban food. If we're driving past, this is always a solid choice for lunch or dinner. Mainly been getting takeout from them for the past year or so, and sometimes even doing the 25 minute drive each way to get it for lunch, it's really good.
I usually get the Cuban sandwich and make it meal (includes rice&beans + soda). The sandwich is outstanding, and the rice and beans are amazing - they seriously stand out.
We will keep going to Aroma Cafe for the foreseeable future. The food is great, reasonable prices, and good customer service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rachael C.Maryville, TN2213Dec 8, 2020

I was visiting family in the area and had to go to the airport. We decided to stop in here and get a sandwich (pictured). This place doesn't have much going on in the curb appeal. In fact, you probably would just drive right on by if you saw it. That would be a big mistake. Food is great and the place has a good atmosphere inside. Definitely recommend this spot.

Really great portions for the price. I got the Cuban sandwich (medium size) with black beans. It filled me UP! I think I would've gotten the small sandwich because there is a lot of meat on the sandwich and the bread is a thick slice.
The guava and cheese empanada was subpar. I would try a different kind if I go again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Deborah H.NC, NC0143Nov 29, 2021
The Cuban food is to die for. Good selection. It may look like a hole in the wall, but the food is really really good!

From the outside you wouldn't expect much, but don't be deceived by appearance. This place is great! The Cuban sandwich is one of the best I've had. Great flavor and cooked just right. I had the red beans and rice (they have black beans too). Very flavorful and filling. The Papa Rellena is excellent - a must try, in my opinion. I'll be back for more visits to this hidden gem.

Must have been hurt by pandemic issues. While Cuban sandwich was very good, don't go for the atmosphere as it's pretty bad. May be a reflection of Cuba today. Glimpse of kitchen did not look clean. Restroom in the decor less dining room was taped off and marked out of order. A trash container was placed to block the dining room exit doors. While most local good hispanic restaurants were full on Friday evening, we were nearly alone in the dining room. Take out may be the best option.

I don't often say this but the food was off the charts. Anyone who has ever seen the John Favreau Movie Chef, knows how we were drooling when he was making this Cubanos. As a foodie and one who loves to cook, I was imagining the favors in my head.
Today, that thought became reality. My wife and I shared a Cubano with Papa Rellenos and Tostones. I had died and gone to Havana heaven! The Cubano flavor were perfectly balanced with nothing over bearing. The Tostones were perfect and not oily. And the Papa Rellenos (stuffed mashed potato balls) were out of this world. Everything was in perfect harmony with no particular spice overpowering another.
Great service too. The young ladies tending the shop were just awesome, you gotta eat here.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0May 7, 2015Previous reviewI don't often say this but the food was off the charts.
